Hey y'all, about to join the club today. Any specific things I should be looking for when I test it out? Common issues things like that
Quoted from Yelobird:Just Finding one is most of the issue congrats. Just make sure the playfield looks good, no issue reports on start up. Anything else really can be fixed or adjusted when you get it home.
Splitting it with a family member, we could not be more excited!
Quoted from GnarLee:Check to see if balls are magnetized. Would cause problem your describing

Balls already magnetized and we replaced them before this, we checked to see if the new balls were magnetized in the chest with glass off and they were not. Pitch issue maybe?
Quoted from thirdedition:If the balls aren't falling out of the chest, you will need to bend the trunk release mech back. At least that is what we had to do. No amount of fiddling with settings or switches did it. I had to reach around the back of the chest and bend the whole armature that held the gate and coil backwards so there as a bigger gap for the balls to roll through when the gate opened.
I'll try this if the optos are working correctly. How much did you bend the mech?
Anyone know where I can pick up the silent spinner parts? Seems sold out everywhere I look. Is this something I could just DIY?
Quoted from Mrsiyufy:I emailed the Mod couple about this a few days ago - they are hoping to have them in stock soon. Keep checking their site.
Sweet, thanks bud.
Anyone know where to get aqua star posts for the slingshots? The LE I purchased recently has some bad pooling and chipping. Titan did not have them.
Quoted from zaphX:It's POTC. You take it and run! I wouldn't reject it unless it's just completely trashed.
If things need fixing, the game is well documented and the community support is strong.
Essentially this, unless the playfield is just completely wrecked with chipping.
Quoted from Noma2017:Hi everyone,
I will be getting a Pirates LE. Does anyone have recommended items to purchase to have on hand? Where can I find the cliffy protector set? Any other advice?
Check all the posts, primarily the slings, for pooling. I had pooling around the slings, and near the tortuga hole. You'll need star posts for the slings, cliffy should fix tortuga.
Quoted from dung:Hey guys, just got an SE. It came with a spare pf. PF in the game is good and debating selling the spare separately. What are they going for now? Does JJP still have them in stock?
Not sure the cost, and I don't believe they are in stock. If you are planning on hanging on to the game I'd hold on to it, pooling issues seem to pop up on these playfields. I'll be buying a new one shortly just to have for mine since it won't be leaving.
Quoted from dung:To be honest I won't be keeping my game. Will probably put it up for trade eventually, but figured I would sell the pf separately first. Its a fun game, but still working towards my goal of getting out of the hobby by Dec. In the mean time been trading for stuff I haven't had as a last chance to try.
Any reason for getting out? Or just over it
Yeah I definitely got into the hobby at the wrong time, just 2 or 3 years ago could have scooped up these games at a fraction of the prices.
Quoted from Stef95:Small question, I hesitate to buy a shaker motor for my SE. when does it engage in the game? Is it interesting to have one on potc?
I think it's a great addition, we have a set of pin stadiums with the UV connected to the shaker and the game is next level. It activates on jackpots and a few other times I can't remember.
Quoted from Heater:Lol! First you flatter me. There is no way in hell I could make something that would be worthy of being sold. Second, I never said I was going to make them to sell. I was simply looking at what LTG posted with the bottle and model and thought it might be fun to make something out it for myself. But apparently I have treaded into the Devil's Triangle and sacred ground. I will ask no further
As a LE owner, feel free to keep paddling lol.
Quoted from dr_light:Changes to the wizard modes? What is needed other than adding the final wizard mode?
Poorly typed out, just meant final wizard mode.
My game is living at my cousin's house and it's wrapped up for 3 months for some remodeling in the house...I can't wait to get back on there.
Quoted from VisitorQ:Can anyone tell me what some of the main things to look for when purchasing this game? I mean I know to examine around the slings for pooling and chipping but how about beyond that? Common problems and issues? Things to test or look out for?
Information appreciated, thank you.
I think the consensus is buy it if the number is right and sort it later lol.
Quoted from DropGems:Is this game goat level? I’ve never had the chance to play it…
I think there are better pinball machines, but something about this machine is magic. Will never leave the collection.
Quoted from VisitorQ:How quickly do the ball get magnetized in this game and what are the results that occur when they do?
Getting hung up in the chest was one symptom that I noticed, I can't remember what balls we put in but haven't had an issue since we put the proper ones in.
