Man after feeling like POTC has been kicking my arse solidly since I got in December and knowing the ridiculous STDM off launch or round the top orbit had to be the main culprit, I finally found a post from a little while back talking about the upper flipper position. Sure enough 5 mins to correct it and second game after, I'm up over 550K finally, for the first time. Now I can start having some real games instead of <2m . Next step the subway post fix which then finally became noticeable now that I actually can get to a few multballs finally!

Quoted from wesman:

Did you crank the flipper from underneath to tighten it? Nice work!

Ahh yeah, why would I not follow standard pinball flipper adjustment procedure? Cheers

Quoted from zaphX:

I’ll add this to the troubleshooting page, thanks for pointing it out!

Yeah great idea. It's a major issue if improperly aligned from the factory as I learned (the long) and hard way. Also one that's a head scratcher till you find out as on other machines the position would be correct.

A dangerous drink. I got SUPER WASTED on them in Las Vegas once. Just once.

It's nickname is 'Wife Beater' but dangerous compared to what really lol, Miller Light .

Quoted from Psw757:

Ah....close but no.
2 parts goslings black seal Bermuda rum
4 parts Barrett’s ginger beer or goslings ginger beer
On the rocks
Wedge of lime
Yes the brand of ginger beer makes a difference and so does the rum. some ginger beeris more for vodkas(Moscow mule). Other dark rums don’t taste the same.
Goslings rum is like motor oil but good.
I’ve introduced many to this drink and they are hooked. Smooth but dangerous and when mixed properly is like a dark n stormy night on the seas visually.
It’s also happens to be the national drink of Bermuda.

Dark 'n' Stormy's, now there's a drink I can enjoy. You're right, having had a long association with Bermy (Bermuda), I definitely dig that version. Mind you down here in Oz we'd argue Bundaberg Gingerbeer will play Barrett's Gingerbeer on a break. Bundaberg's rum on the other hand I wouldn't make anyone drink by comparison to Gosling's, which ironically is becoming quite easy to find locally believe it or not.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Dangerous because it doesn't taste like alcohol and you can drink one after another after another after after another until you try to stand up to go to the bathroom and can barely walk. My wife fills in bits of that night because I don't remember it after a certain point. It started at a Harry Blackstone Jr private magic performance...

Ahh the Long Island Ice teas you meant, they are essentially all alcohol! I could swear you were referring to Stella's, but now that makes much more sense. If you throw them back -which I agree is easy given the taste, you'll definitely feel it lol, no argument there! I used to drink them as young dude. That's ironic, I remember meeting Harry as a kid in the 80's. My dad knew him and he had some sort of small warehouse of his stage props and stuff near where we used to live in Westchester county and we went and visited him one day.

I finally got around to getting my Hobbit set up with working WIFI and BT. However, in attempting now 4 times to get Beta 4 to download successfully, the machine every time states 'file failed to verify'. Don't know what's going on with the servers JJP are using, it's slow enough as it is, but even more annoying when the file completes D/L only to give that error every time. I even swapped servers to see if it would make a difference, but all that did was make even slower and still fail to verify.. If I knew where to find a copy online(having scoured the web and check the now defunct JJP Newsgroup even), I could D/L, and I happily would give USB a try since generally that's a bit more reliable.

Wrong thread? POTC hasn’t had the wifi update yet

Yeah duh. Lol, I defaulted to my subscribed owners list and jumped on here instead going to dig up the hobbit thread. But also wondering like everyone else wtf POTC will get the wifi update etc seeing as now an older machine even has it..

Quoted from Betelgeuse:

The whole thing with the POTC code is weird. There must be some kind of legal hurdle with the license. I think it's gone beyond JJP just not having time to update the code, especially since a beta release already exists.

Yeah for such a big title (even standing beside GNR), it has had the pathetically little done with it's code compared to pretty much all the other JJP titles.

Pirates (and a standard no less) for sale on Pawn Stars for 27K!!!

I wrote on their FB post about the episode. I laughed out loud when the bararcade owner said that.
