Besure when you take off the pop bumper cap you do it by loosing the set screw on the side of the pop bumper.
I would probably go with the carbon fiber protector for that location.

Yes, I’m in the same spot you are. I decided to wait as the ship needs to come off. harryhoudini has a great video about removing the ship on his YouTube channel.
Does the ship really need to be removed to put the map cliffy on, looks like it should just slide right in

If you want to mess around with pre-release (beta) code, join JJP's beta program. You'll learn about known issues and problems from other users and you'll be able to move between versions (and fallback if desired).
Im pretty sure the newest release has new video and sounds. I think I heard johnny depp a few times during a game that I never heard before.

It wasn't installed properly then. If the back piece and OEM snubber are set wrong, it will cause rejects.

On various versions of the beta There have been a few minor bugs and even compatibility issues with some of the older wifi dongles causing sound issues. So I think JJP would really like beta users on their telegram to be able report any issues. I know the software has been SLOW - but from following the telegram thread - Keith Johnson and team seem to really care about the coding and respond to feedback almost immediately on the telegram. They are as active on telegram as spooky is on pinside.

Good to hear they are still involved and responsive. Giving me hope the game will be finished one day. With all the new games being released, it’s getting harder and harder to justify the spot PoTC is occupying
Has anyone just tried to update to the Beta code through the regular version of the software? With Hobbit and Toy Story 4 it can be done right from the official software like a regular software update. I wonder if people are looking too far into things here...

You need to use the JJP provided link to get to beta 1 via pirates - after that you can opt in and update to new builds

Yes, you have to go thru the Beta. This just brings it to recognizing the WiFi dongle. Once it does and you connect it to your WiFi, it will allow several of the beta updates up to Beta7. I don't know about Hobbit and how it was done without going thru the Beta but Toy Story and Godfather were released with the WiFi built in so there was no need for a USB Stick to put it into beta.

I think hobbit had an official release with WiFi at some point. I don’t think POTC .99 has WiFi

POTC doesn't in .99. That's why you need to join the Beta and go thru the updates which include the WiFi, Equalizer, Presets and fixing a few audio clipping issues. If your more comfortable just with the character changes, stay with .99

On my POTC I installed the Beta through the USB port, on Hobbit I just installed the Wifi dongle and after I connected to my network it allowed me to update to the Beta. Even without the Wifi dongle, you can still connect to the internet with a ethernet cable which is why I am wondering if people are missing the option to update to the Beta in the menus because on Hobbit, it was just there and that goes for the same with TS4.
Don't have POTC anymore but it was my first JJP game so I have learned a few tricks since then, so to speak.

I love the CE topper and I agree with what you said on the Elite topper. Wish I could get the CE topper and action button deco.

Someone out of France made a topper similar to CE. I think it was about $1300 and had a more quiet motor system then OE. I don’t remember who made it or if any are still available.
Getting some weird behavior. Sometimes ball drains are not detected. Tested trough switches and it's fine. But just now didn't detect last ball drain then both monitors quit working. Rebooted and they came back. Sounds electrical?

Are you sure? People here say POTC doesn't break!
When you say both monitors quit working, did the game lock up, did they go blank? Are you talking about the LCDs or something else here?

That's really odd. I don't think I ever had either monitor go blank at any point during game play. I did have the game reboot on it's own but that only happen like once or twice.
So since you rebooted it, are you getting any error reports in service mode?

Nope. Had a closed switch on the ship earlier but probably just hadn't been hit in a while.
