I’m in for ramps as well

#17702 1 year ago

I just purchased the stickers for the ramps from JJP.

#17703 1 year ago

Hey, tonight I had another first after owning POTC for several years. A 100K skillshot on ball one!

#17704 1 year ago

My elite topper arrived today. Anyone have one installed yet? I’m 50/50 if I’m keeping mine or considering trades for it.

#17705 1 year ago

.

#17706 1 year ago

I’d buy a set of ramps

#17707 1 year ago

Yeah count me in for ramps. Thanks

#17708 1 year ago

Sure...me too...ramps. Thank you.

#17709 1 year ago

Does anyone know a source to buy the molex connectors used in the JJP back box for 12v?

#17710 1 year ago

Ya ramps! Is this a for sure or still in the possible realm?

#17712 1 year ago

If it's still possible I would like to join the club for a ramp-set as well

So far everything ok but who knows

Anyone have any suggestions for the button? I've had this issue with multiple JJP games where after several plays the button just no longer seems to reach or be aligned correctly to hit the metal piece under it consistently without smashing it down. Only been an issue with JJP.

I replaced mine with a stern button from pinball life and it works perfectly.

Have you tried bending the metal leaf switch that the button pushes so it's better aligned with the bottom of the button? If you stand in the playing position and lean forward getting your nose closer to the playfield glass you can look upside down through the gap between the top edge of the lockbar and the bottom edge of the mini LCD to view underneath the lockbar at how the button is lining up with the metal leaf switch. Maybe take a look at it this way and press the button while looking through that gap to see how it's missing the switch and then adjust the switch accordingly.

Blob of hot glue on the end of the button.

Works and lasts too. I put it on Hobbit when I first got it years ago, in commercial use. And still works.

Doesn't slip off the switch blade, long enough to reach, and a little flexible and doesn't hurt anything.

Start by reseating connectors by coin door and in the backbox. Be sure they are in tight. No wire sticking out.

Yes. In the BIOS you change Power on after power fail to yes or enable. This tells the motherboard to power itself on after the game is off. BIOS password is qmodem (all lower case).

Ah hah. mountaingamer made and offered these larger coin beauties a few years ago, but he doesn't appear to have been active on Pinside for quite a while.

I actually gave mine away to another Pinsider a few months ago after I had replaced it with Lior's action button surround mod.

You can probably create your own without too much effort if you can find similar plastic coins. Good luck!

Except they stopped responding to customers a few weeks ago and scammed several ppl... there is a long thread about it on here somewhere

#17747 1 year ago

The real must have mod for this game is that opening/closing lighted chest from Pinball Mod Co. It not only restores one of the scrapped toys from the prototypes, it improves upon it. I can't believe there are still games out there without this.

Oh boy, I saw those little coins they offer, they're fine, but the larger coins seem more life like on the lockdown bar for me at least.

I installed that a while ago - not the easiest install but definitely cool, the full backboard twinkling lights was also a big plus.

I have a friend that has a CE. I have a SE. he has an extra starfield map for the backboard. Will that work on my SE?

Thanks.
