* When playing as Barbossa, your super jackpots no longer count towards
Wizard Modes.
* Barbossa now scores correctly during Dead Men Tell No Tales Multiball.
* Added a lamp effect for Carina's Star Map decoder power.
* Fixed a bug where Angelica's hold power selected a mode's skill if it
was running instead of choosing the highest value skull.
+ Implemented competition mode jackpot selection for Dead Man's Chest
Multiball. The jackpot selection is no longer random in competition mode.
* Arrr Frenzy can now be played more than two times.
* Changed the default number of Pirate lane completions needed for the
2nd extra ball. It is 25 now, it was 20.
* The maximum scoring multipliers for gold collect are now capped. It's
3x for everyone except Marty, who is 5x.
* Added Attract Mode motion-detect speech. It is defaulted to ON.
* Updated Attract Mode custom message page.
* If your camera is broken or disabled the game will no longer show the
"THIS GAME TAKES YOUR PICTURE" message. It will also show the "no photo"
icon at game start.
* Changed the default number of Pirate Inlane completions for the second
Arrr Frenzy to 10 (it was 15).
* When playing as Cotton, Black Pearl Multiball now displays doubled
jackpots correctly. (it always scored them correctly in the past).
* Balls in the chest lockup now released right when the game ends instead
of waiting for Match.
* Dead Man's Chest Multiball intro lamp show no longer covers up the
Pirate inlane lamps.
* Added intro lamp show to On Stranger Tide's Multiball.
* Pirate inlanes now do not change during Plundering and Liars Dice.
* Increased the default strength of the center uppost.
* Tortuga Multiball is now unable to start in Wizard Modes.
* Dead Man's Chest Multiball is now no longer available if Wizard Mode 2
is lit.
* The Map award is now more intelligent when spotting characters. It will
award more difficult to collect characters first.
* Improved choreography for spotting characters from a Map award.
* Fixed bug with Tia Dalma's Chapter selection where a hit to any Star Map
target would reset the selection cursor.
+ The orbit magnet behind the ship can now fire to help collect characters
on the ship if they are lit. This is managed by an adjustment that it
defaulted to off.
* Added shaker motor pulses to character collects during Chapters.
* Greatly improved Chapter display rendering removing many graphical glitches.
* Sped up Chapter Summary on ball drains.
* Added Liar's Dice to the Compass' shot considerations.
* The Compass now correctly calculates Barbossa's jackpot shots.
* The Compass now toggles between lit Wizard Modes.
* Better Z-Order rendering all around.
* Tortuga Multiball Summary now does not show twice.
* Improved orbit logic.
* During enter initials the position is now filled with an 'A' instead of
a blank after doing a 'DEL'.
* Fixed bug in Dead Men Tell No Tales Multiball where the roving jackpot
arrow would still be roving after the super jackpot is lit.
Also:
- pirate big points and hurryup scoring substantially increased
- treasure hoard substantially increased
- player menu and all the other system updates
- match LEFF
- credit/money highlight
- EB lamp fix for Will
- tilt warning lights show up to 6 warnings now via colors (like GNR)
- tilt choreo improved in liar's dice
- improved (per Keith) carina's starmap effect
I’m not sure what “match LEFF” means. These are straight from the JJP guys. The big list at top may not be 100% correct (not sure why), but it was from the official change log

Telegram has always been a problem for me. Log out a couple times and then it won't let you log back in. I was in there for tech stuff and then the beta group. Two different times. Both times it became a problem.
I finally gave up and removed Telegram from my computer. Only website I was having that issue with.

I seriously doubt this - Keith was pretty adamant that the game was built as intended. Who knows though? I don't believe the final wizard mode has been implemented yet. Thank goodness they reconsidered not releasing until that was implemented. These changes are really great - they change your strategy considerably

ok, I did not make it clear earlier, but this is important:
The code is released as a BETA only. It is still being tested. It is not available on the main site yet.
If you would like the link, you will need to join the JJP Beta thread on the Telegram app. This means signing up for Telegram, and emailing JJP your username/email so they can add you. Or just wait a short time for the release!

Thanks for the summary. Nice to see that it isn't just Scorbit and that the stuff from the 2 year-old Beta is in there (maybe with some other fixes added to it also). Fingers crossed that this isn't another 2-year Beta (and that it isn't another 2 years for the final wizard mode to show up).

Just noticed this comment. Thanks for the clarification! I've noticed some other really nice changes to the lighting. Very glad I've kept this game; it is one of the GOATs!!
Yes the lightning transitions are much smoother and some verry nice upgrades overal! One of the best pinball machines for me

Oh that’s great news. Did they improve the Lightshows for the different multiball starts? They were a bit underwhelming and some multiball didn‘t have a Lightshow at all. But anyways looking forward to it being finally released!

If I read through the changelog I see nothing about a final wizard mode.
I doubt if I would ever make it, but would be nice to have. Plus, as others suggested an option to start final wizard mode just as a game (Like Stern with JP).
This is version 104B ,other beta test versions have less options. This is the almost best version. Final Wizard mode is there and done, this now Is only in the final test of the code and lightning etc etc ready to roll out. For consumer based.
All I can say is that the lightshow,sounds and changing some characters things made this game even better then it already was
Game is hard as it is only 1% of the people ever get to the final wizard mode. Most Will never see it

Well you’d be surprised about the skill of some people. My friend made it almost once (I think 24/25 chapters).
I think the Hobbit may be harder. So the difficulty should not be a reason for JJP to not implement a final wizard mode

Hobbit is definitely not harder - if you are referring to There and Back Again, this just requires starting all the chapters.
I am referring to the Movie mini wizard modes in POTC. Those have very high requirements to defeat and there is not enough time to achieve them before the mode ends. I am not a great player so i would like to see someone do this

I've played through all the mini wizard modes twice ever in POTC. If all you have to do is play through them, Break The Curse is definitely possible. Now, if you had to complete them all in a single game, forget it. I could probably count on one hand, definitely two hands, the total number of times I have beaten one of the mini wizard modes ever. They are tough, all single ball and the timer is so short, sometimes it feels like it isn't even possible to get through them.

That's what I'm saying. Which one requires a certain number of hits (800? or something crazy) to complete? That one is not possible

That's where you find the gold in Curse of the Black Pearl. I've actually completed that one before, but not often. You get good gold numbers off spinner rips, but you can't just spam a single shot as the gold runs out for that shot so it forces you to shoot other places. Love the gold dropping sound effect during it after you hit nail a spinner shot.

Shaker is better implemented now, lightning is much smoother and there is much much more going on now in sounds also and some art has changed
Haha yes everybody crying about a final wizard mode when I’m pulling my hair out even beating 2 wizard modes. If you have to complete 5 wizards to get the break the curse it’s not doable . If it’s just making the 5 wizards and then the break maybe it’s a better deal

Very impressive - I just could not figure out where the other shots are once the spinners run out. The pops are too unpredictible, the StarMap shot doesn't award as much as I'd hoped, and the loop seems to take too long
So, does anyone have any info on when this new code will be posted on the JJP website for the general public?

No clue. This is just all in the beta group. But going from no updates to a beta build with an update the following day…seems promising to me. The Beta is a pretty substantial upgrade from what I’ve seen so far.

I think you don’t need to finish the movie mini wizards, just play them. If you played them all, you get break the curse.
I encourage all who is reading this to sign up for the open beta and give JJP feedback. THIS is the monent things can may be still implemented and changed.
When it’s released, it’s done.
One of my general remarks is that when you start multiballs or make a jackpot/super jackpot there is not much ‘excitement’ in the game.
Compare for example Smaug multiball (Hobbit), to any of the multiball starts in POTC.
Smaug gives a movie clip and an exciting start.
In POTC the multiball just starts only saying what multiball starts.
Also if you make a super jackpot there could be better callouts/light show.
I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just if I look at what could be improved, this is one of the things.
Secondly, playing the chapters is also rather ‘boring’. You get a very short clip, then you have to shoot the flashing arrows (and that 25 times).
I hope they can have a little more context to the missings with longer intro’s maybe ir explaining what the mission is about.
I do understand this may not be possible due to missing license rights.
