Right now $2.28. That is all the shooter rod is as well, you can see the loop on the top of the coin on the rod. Since you are painting the depressed areas, you can actually use just about any paint as long as you seal it. I just used craft paint. Wiped off the top to get the gold to show. Let that dry and then seal it with an acrylic spray with several coats.
Thanks for the info heni1977! I'll take a stab at painting the shooter rod coin this evening. This shooter looks so much better than the plain black knob the game ships with. The shooter goes perfectly with the pirate theme and the frequent "Goooooold...arrrrr" callouts during gameplay.
Quoted from VillaThrills:Oy...hate to report this one...found it when trouble shooting a chattering sling. Chipping by the slings and slings wearing thin. Thoughts on what to do about this one??? New rubber, fine. But playfield chipping significantly on both sides? I only have 457 games on it. Just lost a ton of value on this one. Guess I will call JJP on Monday.

Sorry to see this and just did a thorough check on mine. All is well except the spinning disk is a tad high on one side, it's actually slightly uneven but I removed from the play field and adjusted it is a little better but noticed a little wear on the side of the disk edge in two places, the edge will look white-ish, overall can only see with glass off and put your face close up.

Can yo take a picture of this white edge?
Question. Anyone else’s game have a block of styrofoam taped behind the play field backboard. Mine fell off but it was attached with double sided tape. I assume it stays on for dampening effect.

Pretty sure you are supposed to remove all styrofoam.

That was in place for transportation. Take it out.

Pardon?
A friend and I just ordered one each of the Aztec gold shooter rod at $125 CDN/each. Are we referring to the same unit that looks like it's a very shiny gold? I won't be impressed if it is a cheap (quality-wise) $3 toy, that doesn't look like the pictures in the for sale ads here.

Shows all Styrofoam locations in the manual, remove them.
Styrofoam is for shipping purposes only, to keep the heavy playfield from pulling too hard on the hangar brackets on the front of the playfield and to try to minimize playfield movement while in transit.
Thanks to all for answers. Yelo, can’t wait for your toys to arrive on Monday. Buying some White Lithium Grease to quite that spinner today.

So we backed a pickup truck to the fed ex door and dollied from fed ex to the pickup. Then we unboxed from the pickup and went from there.
Quoted from Charliew65:Just a heads up im testing out some plastic protectors for mezel mods, loving the way they look. Just have to work out the kinks and should be available soon.

Smoked gray or a semi translucent black would fit this game well.

Beautiful! The orange ones look wider than the yellow ones. Let us know if it affects ball movement. Also, are these PETG? (Not acrylic)

I was referring to my keychain for the link. However, I would suggest sealing the top. Other reviewers have said the gold rubs off. Can’t say how much they paid for the pendant but it sure looks to me like the ones from Amazon for under $10. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great. But yeah, not sure why they are so expensive.
I really can not get enough of this game!!!! One moment I'm scoring like a pirate the next I might as well be scrubbing the deck!
Doing a limited batch run of Pirates pin cups we made if anyone is interested. $30 including shipping in the US. Just PM me.
Slightly different from the picture. We are printing the flange integrated to the cup so please identify a right or left hand flange. The one pictured is a left hand flange. A left hand flange can go on the right leg and stick out to the side or on the left leg and stick out in front of the machine.
If you really want an ambidextrous cup, let me know and we can do a one off. Just easier to print it all toghether.

Anyone else have a switch 63 issue they resolved.
Checked and wires soldered on and no breaks
Thanks.
Looks like I solved my own problem. Just had to bend metal connector a bit as they were touching. Of course that’s the one switch I can see the won’t unscrew from bottom w\o removing another big piece.
Holy crap that was a lot of work.
PF protector installed. New super thin model. Seems great. Raised the spinning disc a smidge. Pics indicate what we had to remove for your reference. It was a lot.
I really think this should be offered in the factory again. This would have prevented some really bad chipping in at least the scoop. Noticed some other chipped spots around a sling post (!) and of course the map hole. For $8500 I really need this game to keep its value on location. Hopefully this will help

Piece of cake, amirite' Haha AND also there was an Escalera involved for 3 tight steps. It was a beast of a pinball machine move. This machine must be in the 400 pound range. Its the heaviest I've ever moved.

Was that chipping around the bottom sling post by any chance?
Can anyone confirm the wiring on my black pearl switches? I had a wire come off the switch, and has a EOS error, so i decided to pull the black pearl. When i finally got it into position, I had two more wires broken. I didn’t realize they were daisy chained until I cut the ziptie. It seems to me to be wired together correctly and I don’t see anymore issues, but all three aren’t registering now (9,10 and 12). Attached is an image of how it’s wired. If anyone familiar with it can confirm if I have it done correctly, it would be appreciated. Also, if someone has images of how theirs is laid out I can probably confirm against that as well. I also let a green and white wire make contact, but not sure if there is any fuses associated with these sets of switches. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Yes. Here are some wear spots from our SE on location.

Huh...yep, that would be the spot. No idea what is causing that. But certainly something that needs fixed. I submitted a ticket in and emailed pictures. Everyone has been great to work with so far. I have no doubt they will get to the bottom of this.
Wow This looks like support thread , Sorry to hear those issues as I am waiting on the sidelines for JJP next title , hope you get these issues worked out .
Love JJP... I've owned all of their games so far (expect POTC which I will pick up eventually). Still have my Dialed In.
However, for the premium price of these machines, they REALLY should be including protectors on usual wear spots!!!!!
Look at CGC as an example... What they are doing with MBr seems spot on...
Knock on wood, I haven’t seen any of his with mine at about 300 plays but it worries me. Makes me not want to play it.
Dimples and regular wear are one thing but this is much more significant.
After the DI play field issues leading to lawlor making his own version of cliffys, it just seems like every future jjp title should have protectors in every hole day one. These are primarily high end home use games purchased by collectors that want to keep games in top condition. Jjp, make cliffys standard. Heck, contract out cliffy if need be, but protect all typical wear spots please. At the very least, give cliffy a play field to use for design on each release so they're ready to ship cliffys day one.
Nice Shooter! I deff like the addition of black on it! Was way too shiny! I myself would do it but alas I still like the original. Even on my older games.
Agree with the cliffy idea too. How hard can it really be? Send Cliffy a PF hook us up!!! We want to keep this Awesome pinball you made looking good oh and I paid 9500 bucks. Might be chump change for some but a few yrs of saving for this guy. I would prefer to keep it looking sweet!
Side note: I moved my PF post on the BP and by the spot character. Makes a longer game for the kids. They really don’t care about longevity or deep ness of the game yet. Or even trying to catch the ball.
But I am still hooked, I wake up thinking man,I got time to get a game in before work!
We have 1 POTC CE up for grabs for shipping in the next week. Only 200 made. $12,500.
We are also taking deposits on the next run of both Standard SEs and Limited LEs as well that will be done after the CE run.

Quoted from dnaman:I think that this is a logical place for the unknown mylar in the goodie bag.
In this pics, I've used a flashlight to show it applied but essentially it is transparent of course.

Was there one already applied and they gave us an extra?
there wasn't any there on mine ,so I added one as well. damn I didn't even think to look in the goodie bag, I just made one.
Hope this isnt going to be on going issue with playfield chipping and wear. Was looking to get one after they start making le again.

Thanks for posting this. I just put mine on also and looking at the map hole noticed that the mylar bubbled up on one of the edges and got that sorted out. Going to order mylar for Star Map area this week...

I had that as well and saw that on a couple others. Take a look at the map hole, seems that the mylar likes to come up there on the side.
Quoted from Psw757:Was there one already applied and they gave us an extra?
No existing in this spot. Happy that it was in the bag though.
I was also pleased that there is mylar on the right orbit where the ball falls off of the Black Pearl, as well as a metal protector on the wood rail
There is a good deal of mylar right across this pin so that is always helpful, in a couple of spots maybe they couple be closer to the edge.
Surprisingly there is nothing for where the chest balls drop out of the chest on the left orbit. The balls actually land on the plastic post and a small area of the PF orbit. No pics to share at the moment but I will add on the the small squares and cut out around the post.

Any surprises?
Finally got some Mylar installed in the star map area and installed that piece up on the black pearl as well.
Forgot to take a look at the ball drop from chest area.
Two things I discovered, tortuga metal scoop was pretty loose, luckily mine is mylared well and no wear. Check those screws, under pop apron.
Secondly watch your sling shot plastics, mine are starting to show wear in the art where it touches the post closest to flippers. I may install a tiny felt pad or rubber stickon for kitchen cabinet door.
Quoted from Psw757:tortuga metal scoop was pretty loose
I also tightened mine yesterday. You would think that the skirt would not touch the screws but it does and lifts the skirt ever so slightly.
