New software for POTC was already beta tested months ago, never got released. Makes you wonder though.

I think it was more than mostly WiFi and Bluetooth. Here's a video where at the beginning some changes of the new code are explained and if you look at the changelog on the guy's phone, you can see a whole long list of things.
