    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

IL is a lot better than NJ any day of the week. I have stated before from my travels how IL has less tolls, less bs like pumping your own gas...not happening in NJ, roads you can not understand...a lot of roads in NJ you can not just make a left, you have to go right to make a left..so damn confusing.
Chicago pizza...best pizza I have ever had.
And the people in IL are a lot more friendly than the people in NJ in my opinion.
I am happy right where I am at. But if I had to move, and a choice between NJ and IL, NJ would never even have a second of my thought process. IL is a hell of a lot better than NJ.

Next time you head to nj, please let me know, I’ll show you the best of it, we won’t hit a single toll road and you won’t want to leave. Plenty to hate about nj (I have a long list) and it can give a bad first impression, but it can be a great place. Chicago pizza is very good, but good New York style in NJ is tough to beat.

I’ll say this about NJ, I love to visit, enjoy staying there and have spent many a great vacation in Cape May and surrounding areas. Red Bank is a fun little town, got a picture of me hanging out in front of the Quick Stop in Leonardo. Jersey is a great place to visit, I would buy a nice beach house in Cape May, but then only spend my summers there. Not knocking NJ winter BUT...

Better to go to Delaware beaches actually. Same beach, no beach fees, no sales tax, much cheaper. We go to Dewey every year.

Ah yep, I just read the last couple of posts. My bad. Was just skimming through and past the JJP bashing posts from the last couple of days. Skipped too much.

LOL I never understand why JJP fans feel the need to play the victim

Well, if we are comparing winters in NJ and Chicago, I think Chicago loses.

Not a victim, just tired of the same people bashing and jumping to conclusions. I'm a Stern fan too. Own some older ones, and newer Stern pins at a location my wife and I go to every week for a Sunday Funday tournament get $20+ worth of quarters to get our fill of those. Like some, hate some. Still play them.

More like the bashers try to play the poor victims that no pinball company can make happy. They would argue that statement too.

I hope all of the new pins turn out great, raise the bar for other companies, and progress this fun industry.

There has been very little bashing of JJP on the thread as for the state of jersey they are taking a bashing

Did JJP confirm that they are moving to 1850 Greenleaf Ave in Elk Grove Village?

As I recall. No address yet in the press release. Just that the move is to Elk Grove Village.

I just heard from a very good source named Lakewood Larry that JJP is setting up shop in Chicago just to start a full time production line dedicated to Pirates.

Mini interview with Jack from This Week In Pinball is up!

    https://www.thisweekinpinball.com/this-week-in-pinball-march-2nd-2020/

TWIP: Can you share more about what prompted the move from New Jersey to Illinois?

Jack Guarnieri: We outgrew both of our buildings, the one in NJ and in Bensenville. We needed to get into a big, beautiful building so everyone can be together.

TWIP: How long do you anticipate it will be before the Illinois manufacturing facility is ready to build games?

Jack: It will be up and running quickly.

TWIP: Will this move impact release plans of the next JJP title?

Jack: No, we are on track to release as per our plan.

TWIP: Have their been any discussions of mergers between JJP and any of the other pinball manufacturers located near Chicago?

    Jack: No.

TWIP: As far as the future of Jersey Jack Pinball – where do you see Jersey Jack Pinball in five years?

Jack: The industry leader in innovation and FUN! Releasing multiple titles yearly, designing and building thousands of amazing games a year, expanding the base of pinball players all over the world.

Yeah....some answers here, but still also fairly vague. Hopefully TPF provides more insight.

Glad TWIP enquired, and thanks for posting this!

I just caught wind of this. It's depressing to me as it feels like family is leaving, Jersey Jack is only a couple hour drive. I'm not quite sure of the reason(s) for this move, but I'm sure they have to be good ones. Chicago Jack Pinball? Hmm...hopefully they'll keep the name Jersey Jack Pinball.....

EDIT..I didn't know there was a Jersey Jack Chicago facility - makes more sense but I'll still miss them in Jersey.

Can people just get over the fact that there is a company that has the word 'Jersey' in their name that is based in Chicago? Why is that so disturbing to so many people?

Minnesota Fats was not from Minnesota, never lived there, actually lived in NY, Illinois, and Tennessee. So what’s the big deal?

NJ is way to far from MI and I've always wanted to visit the factory....now it will only be 4 hours away...yahoo

Yea me to. I always made the trip out to the factory, get a quick tour and pick up my game. I picked up my Dialed In around this time last year. Jack is always very welcoming. He ended up giving us a couple passes to the Silver Ball Museum in Asbury Park and suggested to check it out, so we headed a little out of the way on our way home to spend some time there. When we left I got a big hug from Jack. Looking back it almost seems like he knew he wouldn't be seeing me again. If you are reading Jack, we will missing making that trip out to the factory. A bit of a far drive for us now but you never know I guess....best of luck to you sir.

Jack is actually from Brooklyn. All his old school operator stories are from Brooklyn. He later moved to Jersey and Replay magazine named him that I believe for his column that he wrote. It just happened to stick.

I enjoyed kanedas take on jjp.
Dont agree with all. Lawlor is a great playfield designer, but should probably stick to that.

JJP isnt blessed with luck. Wonka is a really nice game, but was cursed with the playfield issue.
Lawlor should have made the playfield for hobbit, bu wasnt on board yet.
I sure hope they survive. It's Actually the company i hope for the most, not to go belly up.

Lets hope they Dont mimic the Stern playbook moving to Chicago producing cheap trash.
Keep the magic under the glass. keep loading up with imaginative gizmos.

    Quoted from Dr-pin:

It was also cursed by a (false, IMO) narrative about the video assets and rules which was hyper-inflated into a deal breaking crisis.

I love the rules, the audio, and the way they integrated the assets. Most owners would agree, I think.

Frank left in September. Haven't heard from him since..... He was incredible.
