What's the harm in creating a bunch of busy work for yourself, which will be almost impossible to ensure is accurate, and pigeonholes you into something you may or may not be able to live up to? There's a million things that can happen which would affect your weekly "estimate." And why give the pinside mob more grist to bitch?

"Oh they are only making 30 games this week? WHY? WHY DO THEY HATE US?"

"They said they'd make 50 games this week, but they only made 39. WTF!!!!!?

I know you are new to this but come on man. They'd have ZERO to gain and a shitload of annoying things to lose by doing what you suggest.

It's the same as when a rollercoaster breaks down they refuse to give you an estimate on how long it's going to take to get it running again, even if they have likely have an idea. Would just create more opportunities for bullshit they don't want to deal with.

When suggesting stuff like this, I really wish Pinsiders would at least ATTEMPT to put themselves in the shoes of manufacturers. Think about your own job; you probably have a boss or a client. Would you go out of your way to make more promises than you need to to these people? How would that improve your life?

They tend to be widebodies so that slows things down.

They seem to ship with flipper power way too low, so games get set up not so steep...it's a vicious cycle. I wonder why they do that. More reliable? Less likely to break things?

Crank up the flipper power and set the games up steep and they'll play faster.

Stern games just seem to have tighter, faster layouts with powerful flippers, out of the box.

I'm not beneath Americana slop, that's for sure, it's just at home I have a billion better options.

Chili's is my "fast casual" go-to of choice on the road, if I can't find a Cracker Barrel. Yeah that babyback jingle got to me, and it's pretty sick treating my babe to a 4-course meal for about $15 on the way to pick up a Target Alpha.

Hey I didn't start it! Romulus been unleashing unprovoked trashing of NYC and our beloved mayor for months. I had no choice but to point out his restaurant options are one step above cafeteria food in his neck of the woods!

I played it a few weeks ago, a fresh out of the box CE. Gorgeous!

It was fun really fun I dug it. After a half dozen (mostly long) games on it, the flippers were tired and I was having trouble making the right ramp. Game was set up steep, which I liked, but the flipper power needed to be raised. At that point I gave up and started playing the AIQLE next to it (which I'd also never played).

The default settings on JJP games are always like this, I don't get it. Stern flippers are pulverizers out of the box and the games don't fall apart because of it.

What about Deep Root?

Stern has done us all a huge favor in taking weight out of their machines.

I moved a Dialed in up a flight of stairs once and I will never, ever contemplate doing that again.

For all you guys with teams of pin movers on a retainer I guess the heavier the better to get your money's worth but for the rest of us the metal backbox on a stern game is MVP.
