So anybody know the price of a CE?

#39 3 years ago
Quoted from RichieWrench:

I think it will be 12.5K to 13.5K

But nothing solid from any distributor right?

#46 3 years ago
Quoted from RichieWrench:

I know -- Well I feel that it will be at least 12.5K -- but for me it will be...
How many will that make of the CE Version?

I’ve had my eye on this release for a while but also not going to jump on the train if I’m not 100% on this pin. The fact it isn’t a Widebody it went down a notch for me already. But it’s possible it could be a CE purchase depending on detail & price. If it’s over $15k then no way. Over $10K is pushing it but we’ll know on Monday. Could be worth $12.5 but it can’t be like POTC with cabinet barnacles and a topper. It really needs to be a CE meaning something gameplay wise you can get unless you own the CE. A Slash signed Gibson guitar topper isn’t gonna cut it for me. Others I’m sure tho it won’t matter. We’ll find out soon enough

#79 3 years ago

All I know from this thread, if I accidentally get #12 I’m setting price to $100K. I’m young enough to get that

#281 3 years ago
Quoted from player-one:

My understanding is that our playfields are coming from far far away and won't be here before then.

Mirco right?

#408 3 years ago
Quoted from Freakyguy666:

Not at all. This is subjective preference. I prefer the Version of the iconic AFD Cross to the Brick. To each their own.
That’s why I got 2.

If you like the AFD cross, then get the DE GNR. It’s right front and center on the PF. I mean who’s looking at the backbox when you’re actually playing the game?

#420 3 years ago
Quoted from Freakyguy666:

How do you know it don’t? And with that logic you’d be happy with no Cab art and no powder coat.

If you can see the backbox side art while playing GNR, then you Neckst Up. Get down with your bad self

#430 3 years ago
Quoted from Skyemont:

I had someone just tell me this game feels cheaper than all other JJP games. I said WTF are you talking about. Does anyone think this game is cheap feeling that has played it???

Actually a friend who owns JJP and doesn’t like GNR and had fair feelings about this pin took all his words back after he played it. He said “ "The theme integration is so well done. The UI design and production quality is amazing, even for the little backboard screen. Really nice touch there. They did a much better job with lighting programming too. Everything is always visible."

#542 3 years ago

Maybe JJP is deliberately waiting to ship CEs so the playfields have proper cure time to avoid/diminish pooling?

I used to paint cars and clear coats sometimes keep settling over 6 months to a year (or longer).

Again no evidence of this, just takin a guess as it’s very odd CE owners not getting any priority here

#1925 3 years ago

Why #12?

#2078 3 years ago
Quoted from PtownPin:

Many people have had minor game "tweaks" they needed to perform, which is pretty standard in our hobby. My question is whether JJP is aware of these issues i.e. Diverter adjustment, shooter rod spring, slash hat being being level, topper install procedures, etc....all these are very minor, but it would be nice if JJP communicated to its customers that they've addressed these issues on new games.

Maybe somebody should pin a list for newbies to check before playing?

#2089 3 years ago
Quoted from PtownPin:

I always go through my games before playing, but the point is has JJP addressed these issues during manufacturing? A perfect example is the new shooter spring. Someone on this thread mentioned JJP has ordered new springs...is this true? Did JJP communicate that somewhere?

Which is a reason to make a list. Maybe a public g-sheet? You could keep track of items fixed by JJP as well as ongoing issues

#2096 3 years ago
Quoted from endodoc:

First JJP. I gotta say it's impressive! Glad I was fortunate to get one, #182.

#2102 3 years ago

So based on 243 we’re halfway through the CEs getting delivered? They started the line at beginning of January so another month maybe to clear out CEs and get back to SE/LE maybe?

#2104 3 years ago

Ah, ok. Well hopefully they get all CEs out within another month so the others can start going out

#2138 3 years ago

No side by side pic with DE?

#2141 3 years ago

Damn, I’d never leave that room. Ever!

#2143 3 years ago

And SE is Sold Out, yikes!

#2183 3 years ago

Nice collection!

#2290 3 years ago

According to IPDB, Team Edition is 10 total and separate from CE’s

https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?searchtype=advanced&ppl=Slash#6784

There was a video showing 7 of the 10

#2293 3 years ago

Considering Slash appears to have just got his, maybe it was an afterthought? And JJP didn’t want to P off the CE crowd so they just called these additional 10 Team Edition? I’ve yet to hear if anything is unique about them outside a CE except the name plate. If theses 10 do have an exclusive mode or hardware item, well lookout

#2294 3 years ago

BTW, I wonder if it’s weird for Slash to take a picture with himself if he sets a high score

#2315 3 years ago

Nice game room, great collection

#2336 3 years ago
Quoted from TaTa:

Somebody posted in the owners thread that they're shipping out SEs next week. I'm still waiting to hear for my paid in full from JPP

Maybe they are doing both?

#2378 3 years ago
Quoted from c818919taylor:

Agreed, a mod is needed to add Coma.

Give it some time. Someone will engineer one

#2403 3 years ago
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:

Fellas... #257 reporting in Vaughan, Ontario - Canada - WHAT A GAME MAN!
I’ll give this Masterpiece a 10/10!
Simply amazing! Player1 sent 3 guys this morning and everything is working perfectly, no scratches at all, PF 100%, everything is in perfect condition.
It was placed beside my WOZ Yellow Brick Road.(I have just 2 JJP), and guys... there’s no comparison "Pics vs. in Person"... WOW! ... it is impressive when you see the game in person, it’s simply beautiful! And now I have just space for 2 more games at home....
Cheers
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Congrats! Nice arcade!

#2409 3 years ago

I’m heading there now!

#2412 3 years ago

We are seeing #200’s arriving. Haven’t seen anybody report 300s or 400s yet

#2416 3 years ago
Quoted from Yelobird:

I think you are refering to the Number plates people are posting. That is not the serial number progression. We have already done custom coin doors for owners in the 400's. Plates are Random.

Ah, ok. So we have no idea. Could be 100 run, could be 200 or more. All good. I’m patient and more time for them to fix any current issues

#2418 3 years ago

Damn you gonna do a Kickflip?

#2432 3 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

Anyone else think JJP missed an opportunity with the skull's mouth? I mean they could've added a bottle opener in its mouth!

You should make one. Would sell like hot cakes to LE/SE owners

#2440 3 years ago
Quoted from adrock:

# 299 in the house! (Figuratively...)
Seems like they are going in numerical order for those of us that didn’t request a special number?[quoted image]

Hopefully that means LEs back on the line in April

#2448 3 years ago

Well, I’m not a fan of Stern Star Wars either but Data East Star Wars with 1.07 code & Pinsound with full John Williams soundtrack is pretty good. After all that effort I’d at least put the the Star Wars 1Up vector arcade up in there

#2479 3 years ago
Quoted from pinballaddicted:

Thanks!
I was thinking the same. We ordered a LE this week so doing the math I am thinking we are not going to get it for 12 months at least. Rumour is JJP have sold around 4000 LEs and I think JJP are only making 2500 games per year.
Congrats to all the CE owners, game looks amazing.

4000 LEs?

#2494 3 years ago

Halfway through CE’s?

1 week later
#2640 3 years ago
Quoted from MT45:

Anyone have the old code handy? Full install?
Would love to go back as the game is not really playable with 1.16 .... ugh

In the other GNR thread Keith dropped a 1.17 beta code

#2741 3 years ago
Quoted from Kkoss24:

Has anyone ever seen the movie “priest?” Upon GnR release I had my finger on the CE order but being this was my first NIB purchase (couldn’t have picked a better first) I shit the bed n went LE(not really all 3 are home runs) and have been torturing myself ever since .Not so much the package but having it already .A gentleman and big dog in the pinball industry had me n my kids over and I got a couple games in recently .Needless to say it’s been on my mind ever since .I can’t shake it even after picking up a DP last week .I’m in need of a 30 day program if it doesn’t come soon .Can anyone in the know just tell me it’s April so I can rest my head .Any solid info would be much appreciated .

Calm down and get ahold of yourself!

Ha! I’m in the same wait boat. It’s madness!

#3252 2 years ago
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:

Same Gold here.
After all the comments in the past days about those cracks/pooling, today I checked mine in detail and still "None", nothing here at all, my PF is literally mint, I have 1,751 games played(and with 5 balls all of them) and "0" issues……..It is a Lottery I guess.
Obviously I hope that nothing happens, but this game stays no matter what, this is for me and my family simply Gold.

I think your gonna have to send me your CE so I can check it out to be sure. 4-5 years should be a good trial period and I won’t even charge you for my time playing it

#3274 2 years ago
Quoted from Skyemont:

Those built prior to this change should be grandfathered in on the previous warranty!!!

Those is California don’t need to be grandfathered in, State laws covers you regardless. If you’re outside of California, hopefully you have something similar.

Section 1793.03 of the Lemon Law stipulates that any manufacturer of a TV, stereo, computer or similar electronic device worth at least $100 “shall make available to service and repair facilities … functional parts to effect the repair of a product for at least seven years after the date a product model or type was manufactured.”

#3275 2 years ago
Quoted from jonesjb:

Here’s a seemingly older one from before (right before the GnR launch) for reference.
[quoted image]

I’d use that one in court, regardless of what JJP posted now

#3277 2 years ago
Quoted from Yelobird:

Don’t understand your position on this as to how it pertains to the issue. Yes they need to have parts available for sale for 7 years. Why does that matter in the topic of a failed playfield?

The whole pinball machine would get remedied per California law. Plain & Simple. 3 strikes your out. If JJP can’t solve the issue after 3 attempts then you get all your money back. So JJP ignoring a remedy in California will get them a full bill for the amount you paid. How do I know? I’ve done this before, so it’s not a myth, it’s the law

#3280 2 years ago
Quoted from jonesjb:

But JJP has a no refund policy. Are you saying that company “policy” doesn’t trump legislation?

Yes, State law trumps anything you write up in a warranty. This is only California I’m referring to though, I’m not aware of any laws in other states. BTW, just to show you it has weight, my distributor offered a refund which I didn’t accept (yet). That should tell you everything. In California they know it’s a loss. Look if your states laws, they may or not override the JJP warranty

#3281 2 years ago
Quoted from AstonEnthusiast:

You're correct - although we only have 35 plays on our CE, our attorney referenced the CA Consumer Protection Act as foundation for requesting formal relief from JJP should the need arise (one of the only benefits of living in CA). I rarely post, but I'm confident there are many more folks similar to me prepared to take action. I'm not okay being lied to and won't bat an eye dropping coin on legal fees if/when we experience playfield issues.

Yes, I rarely have anything good to say about our crazy liberal state, but this one works in our favor when it comes to deadbeat companies like JJP

#3341 2 years ago

Here’s what a newer LE looks like. Should be similar to CE. I believe there are also a nut on the bottom in addition to the t-nut

Quoted from Vespula:

No pin (yet) = no pooling, so for me it's just drooling.

This is what it looks like. You feel better now?
