I'm in on the CE with Zach.

Quoted from DJNOEL30:

I really hate the idea of being last in line to get the best and most expensive version of this game. GAP Thanks for sharing the pics, any thoughts on the additional ball lock?

If there were never issues with games I would agree with you, but all things considered, I much rather wait and let all the kinks get worked out.

As a general rule, I rather get my CE (or any model by any manufacturer) after they've made a bunch of a particular game, and had a chance to identify and fix any issues.

It will get here when it gets here...no big deal.

Has anyone made a skeleton figure type of Slash mod that's like the Axl one?

I think that would be pretty cool to have in the game.

Quick question about the new box/pallet design...are the caps at the end of the box strapped directly to the pallet?

In other words, is the box a self contained unit that you can safely move a game in when it's off the pallet?

#2618 3 years ago

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

So are most people basically unboxing these outside or in garages, and then bringing them inside?

#2621 3 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

And by the way - this may be obvious but DON'T CUT THE STRAP UNTIL THE MACHINE IS HORIZONTAL.
The backbox will come crashing down and cause damage.

Thank you. Always good to have a reminder.

#2669 3 years ago

Quick question. Did you all remove the bottom leg bolts before using a handtruck?

Just wondering if they will scrape the ground if not removed.

I'm having issues updating my game.

I just got my game and it's running 1.15.

It downloads the 1.17 just fine, but when doesn't make any progress installing the update.

I've turned the game off, downloaded the update again, and didn't have any luck.

Any ideas?

I've got a bad switch. #47 left ramp made. The part number is 18-003003-00.

I've looked online, and can't find anything matching that number.

Is going through JJP the only way to get that?

#2709 3 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Are you sure it's bad? Do you hear it click when you press it slowly with your finger?

No click unfortunately.

Are you sure it's bad? Do you hear it click when you press it slowly with your finger? It seems really unlikely it would die this soon.
It's just a regular switch. The actuator length and diode placement are the only things unique to it. How long is the switch blade on the one you have there?
This is a 1.5" actuator switch, but you'll need to add the diode to it:
https://www.pinballlife.com/williamsbally-sub-microswitch-with-15-actuator.html

Agreed. I don't think it went bad, I think it was just a bad switch from the jump. I just unboxed the game.

That's pretty much what I figured, but thanks for the conformation.

I'm sure I have some switches around with my spare parts I could use.

#2712 3 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Yeah, if you have a spare parts bin, you likely have a switch body that works, and in some cases you can use the correct actuator blade on the existing switch by popping it off the body and putting it on a spare parts switch you have that may have the wrong length actuator. Just be sure to put the diode on and get the band orientation right.

I just found a switch that should work nicely. Thanks for the help!

#2715 3 years ago

I thought I'd post about my switch issue in case it could help someone else.

I learned something this morning from Ken at JJP (excellent customer service as always) I told him there wasn't a click on the switch, and that I couldn't even see the button that the arm presses in.

It was a 2 second fix. I just had to loosen the screws on the switch and the button popped right out and it's working great.

I love easy fixes!

My review.

This is the most fun I've ever had playing pinball.

It puts a smile on my face like I'm a little kid. never rated a game a 10 before, but I think this game deserves it. There are so many great moments in this game, I wouldn't even try to list them all. The whole experience from the shots, layout, gameplay, music, theme integration, lights, etc...is soooo satisfying, rewarding, fun, and it really gets the adrenaline going with the risk/reward.

Everything about this pin is excellent.

- I think it's the best theme integration I've ever seen. The sculpts on the playfield are amazing. The assets.... animations, pictures, videos, and how they are incorporated throughout the game are incredible.

- I think it's the best looking pin I've ever seen...I'm a big fan of Arian Buhler. It's stunning.

- It's the best sounding pin I've ever heard. The speaker on the topper adds a new dimension to the sound. 22 tracks from the master recordings.

- The layout is creative and a blast to shoot. Little touches like diverters on both main ramps that add variety to what the shots do are great. Both orbits scream around with great flow....I love that. The ramp shot off the upper right flipper is smooth, fast, challenging, and repeatable. The inner orbit with the spinner is great. The center scoop is satisfying to hit. The upper playfields are challenging and play fast...the ball is always moving. I really like the shot through the pops to the Axl area with the magnet...a fun/challenging and long shot. The gameplay is sooooo good!

- The light show is the GOAT...not a close second.

- The code is great! I love the risk reward of the song jackpots, and the variety of each song. The mini wizard modes are awesome.

I don't know what else I could say. It's sets a new standard in so many ways.

#2763 3 years ago

Is there a way to see the pictures that the game takes?

#2767 3 years ago
Quoted from Galooch:

It should cycle through in attract mode to show you the pictures with Slash. I’m not sure if the other ones appear anywhere (the pic of you in the logo while entering your name).

Hmmm...It cycles through and shows high scores, but I haven't seen any of the pics.

Maybe it's a setting or something I need to change.

#2836 3 years ago

I'm running 1.17 now.

From the feedback so far, it might be better to hold tight until the bugs get worked out in 1.18

Just curious, if you opt in for the beta code, can you easily switch back and forth from it to the regular code?

#3013 2 years ago

I sort of wish the game would tell me what songs I've played all the way through to encore, and unlock some kind of achievement when you do that.

I've been trying to play through Coma, but haven't made it to the end yet. (I love the last 2 minutes or so of that song)

#3015 2 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

No. You'd have to reload what was in your game before the beta went in.
LTG : )

Cool, thank you Lloyd.

Got this today. Very very awesome. And it came with a cool magnetic bottle open thrown in for free. Great customer service!

Quick question...I'm running the latest beta build.

When in a song mode I don't think I'm hearing the power chord jackpot. I hear callouts referring to the the fact that it's ready and to shoot up there (when I have at least one ball locked), but I don't hesr anything else when I shoot other balls up there.

All the sensors work up there, so it's not that.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If I am getting the powerchord jackpot, is there any way to tell beside looking at the screen (which I usually don't have time to do.
