Please follow up on how well the areas under PETG washers combo with cliffy carbon rings hold up. I was contemplating just using the cliffy and ditching the PETG

No worries,
Will do.
Only around 50 games in so far, I am inspecting regularly. So far so good.
I think that the spread and rigidness of the PETGs will assist with the posts stability.
Locking the 3 posts in the oversized holes is most important.
Quoted from thechakapakuni:I think your gonna have to send me your CE so I can check it out to be sure. 4-5 years should be a good trial period and I won’t even charge you for my time playing it
Just a quick question for the group -- Can we get CE Playfields - Were those available to be purchase by CE owners - I like to have one to hang on the wall - Thanks in advance

They mentioned offering playfields After the complete run of games was completed assuming priority to those that had issues. I believe Joe sent out a not on this?

I Emailed Barry and got in the “list” for replacement CE pf!
Quoted from meSz:I Emailed Barry and got in the “list” for replacement CE pf!
This - just get on the list and expect delivery in the summer.
Mine had pooling early on. I did the vinyl iron, longer posts, and JJP PETG washers and haven’t had any noticeable progression since.
I also emailed Barry to get on the replacement CE playfield list. I’m pretty sure they verify you as an initial CE buyer though.
Quoted from Gunner:I’m pretty sure you are right. Barry had to confirm I had a CE before he added me to the list.
Anybody have Barry’s email address, I’d like to get on the list. Thanks!

Or email [email protected] He has a list, says I’m on it all the time!

Love it !
Thanks Eric and Slash
Super cool concept and mech !
Adds excellence to the this title.
Slashs main riff from Coma has been my ringtone for well over a year now
these washers are too thick and do effect the ball. The one in the middle of playfield near bottom left side of lowest pop bumper especially which causes airballs/ Sux really .
Good thing you fixed it first because i you didnt when removing post the clear and art flakes off and cant put back /ruined.
Does yours get airballs now?
chips off before you can heat iron it flat .

Very fortunate that I had the opportunity to bulletproof prior to playing.

When the machine has pooling around posts, how does it end up getting worse if the ball does not make any contact with the area?
Quoted from wackenhut:When the machine has pooling around posts, how does it end up getting worse if the ball does not make any contact with the area?
Post movement from the ball hitting it will cause downward pressure at bottom of the post. This will put stress on the clear.
From pictures that I have seen it appears that the clear is too thick and soft on some playfields. My clear appears very thin and is rock hard.
Adding the PETGs increases surface area at bottom of post, minimising movement.
Tighten posts firmly, but do not overtighten.
Getting the washers underneath is a risk/reward process. I don't know if it is worth it. Is there a reason why there is no rubber on the left outlane post from the factory? People mention it not helping but it seems like some cushion has to help some!
I ordered the PinGraffix topper -
https://www.pingraffix.com/product-page/jjp-guns-n-roses-stadium-topper
It’s expensive, but it’s perfect for this game, imho. I’m going to have to remove the extra CE speakers. I’ll see if I can come up with some other solution, but honestly I don’t think those speakers do all that much. I ordered the topper w/o the back box and under cabinet lights since the CE already has those and I didn’t want to interfere with the OEM light show.
Anyone else biting?

Pinwoofer
There's a pic and video on the owners thread of someone else who bought it
Aha.. found it...there's a whole entire thread on this

Wouldnt it make more sense to get an LE if you want that topper? I mean it is cool, but keeping the CE topper is sweet too!

I’ll keep it in case I sell it some day. I just couldn’t resist the pingraffix topper.
Quoted from MT45:My diverter issue was a bit more complex but when waxing I noticed there was a damaged spot under the diverter that was caused by the coil retracting and driving a nut into the top of the PF.
Very late to this party (just got my GnR Friday), but when I spot checked my machine for this issue, sure enough the nut on the diverter was digging into the PF. Thank you so much for posting about your experience and fix, I did the same on mine, and hopefully soon will have the time to install my Cliffy set (including his protector for this area)
Thanks again!
the balls do jumps and cause airballs with the washer . so i prefer let it be.. Let the damage happen. Rather it not effect play than the tiny issue of Flaking art in the small area.. Such a small flaw yet so many are claiming The game is a Big P.O.S due to it just do not realize how fun and great the game actually is .
People even claiming i got ripped off at 12800 to my door for this CE . People are more high than me it seems with that Logic. Mostly Florida Water Drinkers are this fkn nuts . Yes i am in Florida .. Bwahahaha.. I luv the game and was listing it but now have come to realize only 500 are blessed with this model in the first place . So not ripped off here.
Quoted from RA77:Hey PinFever, sorry to see your art torn like that. The Cliffy, PETG and stock washer is holding up fine and no airballs here. As far as ball dynamics are concerned I think if the game has good level and pitch there is no problem adding this washer combination.
Hey folks - I like the look of the LE Topper a bit more than the CE Topper but I held off doing anything because I didn’t want to lose the total coordination with the light system that’s already built into the CE Topper. Low and behold, the plastic for the LE Topper can easily be switched out
Without losing any of the light show coordination. In fact, The light show is far more apparent and noticeable with the LE Topper plastic in place. I think it looks great. Just thought I would post in case anyone was wondering. All you replace is the plastic. The bracket and all lighting remains exactly where it is now. Takes less than one minute to change it out.

It isnt pooling. Its the clear coming loose from the PF. Common problem with Mirco's garbage

I was def wondering if it would be with considering. Can you post a short vid of the lights in action?
COOLING FANS:
If anyone was thinking of getting a multi USB hub and using the USB port on that board near the coin door (left side) to power 5- 5v fans. It doesn't work. They all spin but won't get up to any sort of wind producing speed. FAIL.
Back to the drawing board.

Mike
Quoted from Trojanlaw:Pinmonks fabs work great
Thanks!
Also, I have a new design imminent for release that will finally fit all JJP machines correctly, not just GnR (up until now GnR is all I had kits for because the clearance around some flipper plates on JJP machines is too tight for a proper side mount setup and I didn't want to half-ass it).
Anyone know what this 3.5mm is for? see pics.
Also, I'm gonna install some DIY cooling fans so I'm assuming I'm using the yellow/black tap thats hanging in this picture? It reads 12vdc and I'm using 12v fans (after my 5v usb hub fail attempt).
But what is this blue/blue open tap for? It reads 14.1vdc.
Thanks
