Quoted from wackenhut:

So yes, all of you with bad playfield issues will not be able to have any recourse against JJP if they offer you a full refund for the machine. Now what are you going to do? I would bet nothing, probably keep the machine or sell it to some sucker for 20K. Having a non issue CE and asking for a new populated playfield is not going to happen. Jersey Jack would probably take the machine back, fix it and sell it again for 25K.

Can someone confirm the process for the refund, including shipment (packaging), and payment methods and timing?

If you're considering this option read this post first and proceed with caution ......

Installed a couple of mods today! After half an hour my flippers would get soggy, now they play perfectly for hours. I am very happy with the fans. Easy plug and play install for all the mods.

Awesome to hear that the fan kit is working well for you! I'm still catching up with backorders on it, but should have everyone covered soon!

Got this today. Very very awesome. And it came with a cool magnetic bottle open thrown in for free. Great customer service!

Pinwoofer Review for CE.

Forgive me if this is has been posted by others but I had only found one other member that had installed. When I purchased my CE, I had herd from many the sound system on the CE was excellent, especially because of the sound bar. Because i found the bass lacking, I gave the Pinwoofer system a try. The improvement in sound quality at all volumes achieved by this system is remarkable. You will definitely experience a lot more base, but the biggest difference for me is the clarity these improved tweeters bring! You will never be able to listen to the traditional system again without thinking it sounds incredibly muddled. While you do have to disconnect the sound bar, you will never miss it! I have more total volume of sound after the upgrade even without the sound bar.

The vocals, guitar highs, drum high hats, and call outs are all greatly improved. If you have a CE, I would not hesitate to purchase this. Also, Dan is a joy to work with and is available for you every step of the way for installation. Great product and even better support.

PM me if you have any questions.

Great outcome Trojanlaw !

Vikas did such a great job of matching the effects to ball location on the playfield. The loops especially, and when the ball bounces around the jets it sounds like Frank is banging away at his drum kit right in front of you.

PinWoofer unlocks the immense potential of GNR.

Have fun and thanks for your comments!

Quick question...I'm running the latest beta build.

When in a song mode I don't think I'm hearing the power chord jackpot. I hear callouts referring to the the fact that it's ready and to shoot up there (when I have at least one ball locked), but I don't hesr anything else when I shoot other balls up there.

All the sensors work up there, so it's not that.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If I am getting the powerchord jackpot, is there any way to tell beside looking at the screen (which I usually don't have time to do.

I gave the boy'z a tune up last week to welcome their new brother from another mother.

Even after crying about crazy pinball prices, I had to have my name down for this title almost 2 years ago.

404 Found ! My first JJP arrived today

Big shout out to the Aussie distro for his patience, tenacity and integrity.

Thanks so much Eric, Slash and team GnR at JJP for a very special pinball machine

Pauls a legend!

Cheers, mate.
I find it excellent that Paul will remain so calm and level under such crazy circumstances.
The entire planet has gone off the rails with the covid crap

Paul has gone next level to manage difficult logistics with transport. Just a massive effort ! Thanks Paul.
Again it just shows how true and fair Aussies are.

He’s an absolute gem!
Goes far and beyond for his customers.

He’s got me hooked line and sinker with JJP.
This Pin is just pure genius!

Now I can’t wait for Toy Story. (However it’s gunner take me a very long time to accomplish GnR!)

Hi Everyone - WOW -- I have been busy and I have ALOT of mods to buy this weekend and a lot of catching up to do in the Pinball World. WHAT DID I MISS??

#3320 2 years ago

The fund raiser to get me a PTC thread.

Nothing serious, and a lot of fun. And not a disparaging word was heard.

#3322 2 years ago

I’m paraphrasing here…. Only that your JJP Warranty no longer covers anything. If you have an issue and call them you’ll find that they no longer answer the phone and the voicemail is full.

Oh and no one is buying another JJP machine due to their quality and customer service sucks!! Of course this is all until the next release and everyone forgets about all this!!!

Sorry no sale. is only available for self printing.

#3331 2 years ago

Okay I don't own a 3D printer and so I don't know what these would have looked like as they rolled off the printer.
I'm guessing this is a craft project like a model airplane where you start off with plain plastic drums and then you have to figure out how to create and apply the guns and roses logo for the kick drum as well as the toms skins? So do you use special paints or just standard model paints to make the brown casing as well as the chrome accents so it look like your pictures?

Careful Lior May send you a cease and desist due to copyright lol

Quoted from Mattyk:

Careful Lior May send you a cease and desist due to copyright lol

Haha, they should send him that for just copying the skull from JJP. I love the community doing these things, since there are some mod makers that really think they can charge the world. No issue with that, if you can not do it yourself you can buy so there are options, but it seems every random guy starts to make mods these days and sells them for a 100 bucks. While I would hope the community helps eachother with these kind of projects. Again if you make something exclusive and have a lot of work in it, you can charge a little for the effort, but most of these items are just remixed thingiverse items.

@Amiga2000 - again thanks for this.

So I've just looked at installing the 3 posts 'fix' sent for my CE, and unless I'm missing something, I'm not convinced that is going to be much of an improvement.

If you've got a playfield coating the is suspected to be brittle and you install a post that has a smaller shaft diameter than the playfield drilled hole, then surely all the rigidity comes from the steel washer being clamped down as tighty as possible with a the T nut.

Doesn't that mean any impact on the post gets transferred to the washer and onto the playfield ?
Aren't you then just going to need a bigger washer ad infinitum as Neil McRae implies ?

The only way I can see of improving it is to have a post where the shaft is the same diameter as the through playfield hole so the forces are transferred into the wood beneath the surface (or a shim to pack it out or epoxy it !) and a compressible PETG washer to absorb energy going onto the playfield surface.
I have neither of these things

But the bigger question, is why the f*ck has it come to this ?
With all the incredible tech in this thing, why is something as fundamental as securing a post to a playfield causing issues when it was solved decades ago ?

I've now got a game I can't (chose not to) play waiting for a post solution.
I'm willing to pay for it, but somebody (JJP) give me a solution that works -is that too much to ask on a game that cost over 10K ?

Not impressed.

No you’re not missing anything and your post could’ve stopped a lot sooner.

Whilst I love JJP machines their handling of poor quality pf is just nothing short of piss poor. The “fix” you received is nothing more then them trying to shut you up.

A true fix would be holding Mirco accountable or taking their business elsewhere.

Go to a shooting range and pick up some brass the size that you need and glue it to the end of a shooter rod. I have some 3006 brass that you can use.

Just throwing this out there but if there are any CE owners out there that’d be willing to part with your original skull shooter mod I’d love to buy it! Maybe if you’ve swapped yours for LIORs upgrade and need to make some cash back?! Appreciate any help!

So it seems there are a lot of pooling issues at the lower left outlane post. Does anyone have a CE edition that does not have any pooling in that location and can snap a few close up pictures? Will a rubber on the post help the issue?

#3339 2 years ago

I don't have any. Why do you need a picture?

I don't think a rubber there would help. I installed the clear PETG washers under my posts and it's been great. I would try to iron yours out and put one of those washers down.

If you really want a picture, I can sure take one for you. It looks the same as yours though, except there is no pooling.

Pretty common place for pooling and chipping. I picked off the loose material and covered it with Cliffy's carbon fiber rings.

I'm pretty happy with the result.

Here’s what a newer LE looks like. Should be similar to CE. I believe there are also a nut on the bottom in addition to the t-nut
