Quoted from jsa:

When you say didn't show up, you mean after the game, before you started another game, you looked on the app and it wasn't there?
Just a tip, it's really helpful to claim your player slot at the beginning, just in case, as there is a timer that can expire. We should check to see if the act of entering in the name to the game's high score list takes longer than the timer!

The app said waiting for game to start. So I started the game. The app was working fine. It was keeping my score. When the game was over, I looked to see my score in my saved location (home) and it never showed up

#2352 3 years ago

finally got the call from Jen at JJP - one GNR CE heading south to Orlando later today.

#2353 3 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

JJP flipper coil temp testing is almost done. Should have Wonka and WoZ numbers in before long, once USPS cooperates.
[quoted image]
Final revised foam for the JJP Tibetan Breeze kit is approved (posted this in the regular owners thread earlier):
[quoted image]
So probably about 7-10 days out before the full order of cut foam arrives to put the JJP kits together and get them in the store.

Will the JJP GnR kit be the same regardless of which type lower right flipper you get?

#2354 3 years ago
Quoted from Stags6969:

Will the JJP GnR kit be the same regardless of which type lower right flipper you get?

Yes. All the JJP kits will have the upgraded fans so it won't matter which coils you have. If you have the 15411s (which is most JJP except WoZ and some GnR), it will just keep it cooler. In testing all the other JJP so far except GnR, they don't even break 100F when cooled with the higher CFM fans, which is amazing.

So you never saw a "Save to Leaderboard" screen then? You have it set for auto-claim/submit?

The issue with auto-submit right now is that the app needs to be open for that to work. We are fixing that in a coming release so that isn't the case.

#2356 3 years ago

Did I catch a “There’s no more gold!” callout from Melissa when cycling through the patches? On POTC, there is a similar callout when you keep hitting the action button to collect gold. If you keep hitting it, Gibbs yells at you that there is no more gold to collect.

If so, Hogbog that is too cool and very clever. You should put a POTC easter egg in each of your future games considering it was your first game.

Should I turn auto claim off?

#2358 3 years ago

Hey CE Team. If you haven't done so yet, I recommend you rate the GnR CE pin on the Pinside Top 100 list. The LE model is now rated #3 and we know the CE is far better. But, it looks like only 10 or so people have rated their CE.

#2359 3 years ago

Some one posted here or another GNR thread about CE "almost being done".. doubt it seems like a bunch still to go.. I was told by Jen now mine not ready till mid March..

My buddy reached out to his distributor who said that it's gonna be several weeks before his CE is delivered. My impression when reaching out to JJP is the same.

Quoted from Skyemont:

Skyemont - No, I don't think you have to turn it off. However, you should know that until we fix the feature to work silently with the app closed in our servers (that fix is coming in the next couple weeks), the app has to be open for auto-claim and auto-submit to function properly. It's annoying, I know, sorry about that. You can leave it on but if you really crush a score, just check that the submission went through before hitting start again. Cool?

#2362 3 years ago

Also, we just updated the app again! v1.0.21. Details here:

Yup. They snuck that in as a nice tribute to Pirates. Looking forward to hearing it myself this weekend.

Quick question, I had a session where my score was not recorded, this was previous to a code update on the game which fixed some of the Scorbit issues. Is there a way to manually add my score? I do have a picture of it. Its my GC score so would like to add it in Scorbit if possible?

Thanks
Ed

Ed aren't you punishing us enough? You're dominating the board

Oh, does the board allow more than one score per registered player per game? Seems like the best score from each player only makes more sense.

Totally agree...it should just be the top score from each player

#2370 3 years ago
Quoted from pinballmike150:

My LEDs to the right of the backbox have not had any issues. However, my LEDs on top, and to the left have never worked properly. The issue seems to be the connector. When I run an LED test, there is no light coming from them. If I giggle the connection, I can get the color test to match the LED test color of the rest of the machine. When I then test the next LED color, the LED color for the topper does not change (unless I go giggle the connector again). This last a short time, then the light goes out again.
Does anyone happen to know how I can fix this, or where I can purchase/replace this LED set? Thanks
[quoted image][quoted image]

I put in a ticket and they sent me the led strip and now the other side works also (The other side of the back head wasn;t working due to the LED strip having issues.

I’m grateful to know that tomorrow I will receive my Collector’s, however I must be honest and crystal that perfectly the Limited Edition is one of the most beautiful games ever produced ... (if it is not already and definitely the most beautiful produced until today), I insist on this because when I saw the LE it caused me totally a Wow Factor, that art is exotic, unique, it is a work of art, it’s a masterpiece.

I just want to add that the Coma Lock must have been part of all GNR 3 games.

#2376 3 years ago

Agreed. A mod is needed.

Karl just beat his 219.8F GnR high coil temp with a 224.4F on jjPotC (happened right after I grabbed this screen):
jjPotC temps_20_mins_in_2021_02_17d (resized).jpgjjPotC temps_20_mins_in_2021_02_17d (resized).jpg

Trap play style + JJP = high temps and big fade.

I agree about the LE cabinet art. For my rating of the CE, the only area I rated lower than a perfect score was the cabinet art. I agree with you that the cabinet art on the LE is "better" than the "CE." Like you and many others, I like the "poster" art vs. the general art design on the CE. Still, my overall rating for the CE was well over 9.9.

Good call. I rated it at 9.8. I have alot of the top 20 games in my collection but GNRLE OR GNRCE should be #1.

Fellas... #257 reporting in Vaughan, Ontario - Canada - WHAT A GAME MAN!

I’ll give this Masterpiece a 10/10!
Simply amazing! Player1 sent 3 guys this morning and everything is working perfectly, no scratches at all, PF 100%, everything is in perfect condition.
It was placed beside my WOZ Yellow Brick Road.(I have just 2 JJP), and guys... there’s no comparison "Pics vs. in Person"... WOW! ... it is impressive when you see the game in person, it’s simply beautiful! And now I have just space for 2 more games at home....

Cheers

I have to admit I was a little skeptical of the soft plunge on GNR, but after playing a dozen or so games I really like it. Its very well thought out, and different from all my other pins, which in my mind is a good thing

I agree on the new switches but must say I am Hoping they can improve with software as they do seem to need calibration way more then I would think is normal. Could just be my game but I find myself doing that calibration more then seems normal.

It seems like they could do an auto-calibration transparently in attract mode or after a game once the balls are cleared. I'm sure pinball_keefer will keep refining the system as it becomes clear what's possible and required to keep them in spec in the real world.

How do you become aware that it needs calibration?
I haven't calibrated mine yet (got it on Monday) and I am wondering how to know if the switches aren't functioning properly.

If it starts autolaunching any and all balls as soon as they hit the shooter lane, that's a big clue.

#2391 3 years ago

I do notice that the booster mbs start very quickly, I was wondering if this is normal or if my switches need adjustment. Also I have seen that before launching the first ball I can generate and increase my points just with flipping the flippers. Is this a possible new switch issue or most likely a mechanical switch issue?

You can easily find out. Take the glass off, put it in switch mode and smack the playfield firmly with an open palm at various places and see which switches are triggered. If they're mechanical, adjust those. If they're the new style, recalibrate.

For my game. At times it will just randomly keep popping the plungers up and down, or on boot up it will give me the error message and need to do that calibration. Again, Not a huge every time issue just more times then seems necessary. Kind of used to, turn on game, play game.
