Nice - How many Beers to date or to the hour now?
Quoted from magickeys:Mine left the factory yesterday....I'll be on the front porch drinking beer until the second it arrives! I just sent this to the factory....
And -- How many drinks are we at now?
Quoted from Skyemont:So far we know the market won’t bring this kind of cash. Well not yet!

I will say that I was offered 18,700 for mine and turned him down. Now -- With that said making an offer is one thing and seeing the cash it is another - but I do know that if someone has the money and they are wanting something bad enough - They will pay the cost. But for me, I think as time goes by, this game will might hold its value like the POTC CE model does but again there are 500 of these, so with time passing, you will see prices in a more reasonable price range IMO.

Have to agree. POTC was a Rare anomaly in pinball. Awesome game but the volume for all models was drastically low. With 5000 potential GnR LEs I suspect this game won’t garner those POTC rates.
Quoted from magickeys:richiewrench I stopped counting!
Dang It.....Well - Mine wont be here till September ( that is what happens when you text your suppier at 3 AM in the morning) - So I wont be drinking for some time...LOL

We were offered 5k over for ours, but we aren't selling ever. I agree that many who would pay 13k would just as eagerly pay 15k or maybe even 20k for a desirable machine. Even those of us really into pinball didn't hesitate to pay the list price, which is a lot of money for a pinball machine - with many many more who wanted to do the same but missed out. From the poll in the other thread, 155 of us here are buying the CE. I agree that, down the road, they probably won't be commanding 20k+, but I don't see the CE ever re-selling for less or even close to the original price. IMO, the only way it doesn't hold all of its value and them some is if you wound up paying 20k for one.
Anyone know how many of the 500 are staying in North America?

Keep in mind that in Europe, where the majority of the export machines are going, (minus the uk and oz) there’s the 25% tax bringing a CE to 18k EUR. This would mean even less units sold for the “original u.s msrp” and less to go around for the “sane price”.
I just called the local delivery company.....it’s in Baltimore....game will be delivered here Wednesday. Guess that’s 48 hours more of waiting....I wonder if they’ll let me come and peek into the box? Oh well....they said between 10-6 Wednesday.... I’ll be on the porch with pen in hand at 9:30!!!!!
Update.....so I called the local delivery company to see if I can come and pick it up...the reason they scheduled Wednesday is they don’t have it yet....it’s in Ohio...he said call back tomorrow am ...if it comes, I’ll definitely rent a UHaul and go get that sombitch! That’s how I roll!

wasn't there 800 LE's, 200 CE's, and 200 Standards?
Quoted from PtownPin:wasn't there 800 LE's, 200 CE's, and 200 Standards?
1000 total. GnR sold more LE unit numbers on day 1 then the complete POTC run combined.

Gotcha...who knows what the market will bring, but my guess is the CE's will increase in value, and eventually the LE's will drop in value like most JJP LE's

Bit early to lay that claim as nobody has played or seen a CE but time will tell.

Value just dropped to 19k

Anyone else contemplating if to stay here until their game arrives, or leave and return only after unboxing their own CE? Been living here for three months now, but on the other hand I’m thinking I have to leave something as a surprise for unboxing day. What to dooooo????

Keep coming back as it's good to follow those unboxing their machines. They will provide any issues or helpful stuff that will benefit you once you get your machine. If you decide not to follow till you get your game, once you come back there will be hundreds of post. If you're like me you wont read back through all of them so you could miss out on some helpful info!

Just breath!

Right on brother!
This is as far as I got prior to my next meeting. What a beautiful game!!
Initial observations (pre bootup of game):
* No Pooling!
* Art blade protectors in the box, no art blade damage on CE's this time!
* The playfield is amazing - words can't describe just how much of the playfield is glitter sparkle, including the upper playfield - just awesome!
* Signature card on this one is underwhelming compared to the nice signed piece of metal on Wonka - this one is just a card
* BE CAREFUL OPENING THE CE PLACARD ENVELOPE!!! This is by the legs up top of the box and contains the band signed card mentioned in the previous bullet. DON'T RIP IT!!
* The mirrored/foil radcals are amazing to behold in person (they photograph like crap)
* The detail in the side rails is gorgeous and the purple color is something to see
* Remove the radcal overlay protection on side cabinet panels BEFORE putting legs on
* No visible damage to any components
* No random parts laying in cabinet
