I would be stunned if they didn't care about HP. It is probably one of the best licenses one could get atm. They have released eight movies and seven books. All of which about every teenager in the US has read/watched. Also, like it or not, most parents were also dragged into this craziness (I was one of them). When I brought up the idea of HP to my kids, they went crazy. They immediately went to design mode of what you could do w/HP and pinball.
The reality is it probably didn't make business sense.....meaning they couldn't get a deal done with the license/or it was too expensive. If Jack cracked this nut, then he truly has an Epic announcement.
What huh? Stern has a relationship with WB, and has for a long time going back to Data East. If HP was something they really wanted, they could have pursued it.
