Addams family, no not to the movie, the original TV series.
Queen
Beastie Boys
Quoted from Jamwin:Clearly I am making a statement for the movie version of the book "Ready Player One", but the movie incorporates 80-plus pop culture references in it, with many of your suggested themes at the forefront of some of the biggest scenes. Could have a BTTF mode, Jurassic Park, Chucky, Shining, King Kong, and the list goes on. It's a Steven Spielberg film so any of his films could be inserted. But again, this would be a licensing nightmare but would love to see something with so much integration. If you haven't seen it, check it out.
Here's a list of the pop culture references https://www.vulture.com/2018/03/here-are-all-the-references-in-ready-player-one.html
The references in the book were WAY better. The movie was a product placement commercial.
Dungeons and Dragons or Blizzard License for Diablo or Warcraft
Goonies
He-Man
Indiana Jones (I think JJP would kill it)
E.T.
Total Recall
Matrix
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Mortal Kombat
It may not be a good thing for my marriage if more than one of these came out in the near future!!
Quoted from romulusx:Wow bitch you must be getting old
That took you forever!
"bitch"
Come on man. U have grandkids don't ya? That's real nice. How's everything in the trailer park this eve?
And its the other way around, hence the photo of Nigel. Jesus. I was just stating Chilliwack sucks.
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:Rocky...including Creed with footage from the films.
Rocky sure but the first 4 films the rest stink.
Quoted from Hazoff:Rocky sure but the first 4 films the rest stink.
I agree, but including Creed would make it more contemporary and appealing to younger players/buyers.

Meh.. not really. Rocky is Rocky.. Creed a storyline...
Matrix 4 is being released at the end of the year and Godzilla vs King Kong coming out within next few months. Would be two themes that could ride that wave. Although, a 2022 JJP release would lean towards riding the Matrix 4 wave.
jUDAS Priest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vs Jaws !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s a line from a AC/DC song it just means your getting slow! Actually I have a nice home here in Indiana and grateful for it It’s a lot better then the catholic orphanage I grew up in.I lived in a shitty duplex in back of a strip joint for a couple of summers. That was interesting for me and my young bride.
Grateful Dead
The Incredibles
Cheech & Chong
Hip Hop related theme, it’s time already
Flintstones, because pinball loves remakes and we need the cartoon version
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:I agree, but including Creed would make it more contemporary and appealing to younger players/buyers.
I'm not a believer in the whole "to bring in new blood" thing. I think the crowd is set and it dies with us. The teens and 20 something of today even 30's aren't gonna buy pinball machines. They will continue to listen to real bad music and play PS5.

well I didn't know that, I had to assume u were lacking many teeth and living in squalor. My apologies. When a man calls another man "Bitch" ur either in prison or should be.
Quoted from Kkoss24:90s metal pin with Korn ,Limp Bizcut, STP , foo fighters .That eras music was made for pinball .
I suggest a theme for #kkoss24 "Prison Break"! lol
I've read through this entire thread.
Turns out the existing Stern and JJP themes aren't that bad after all.
Quoted from Yelobird:I suggest a theme for #kkoss24 "Prison Break"! lol
Yeah buddy I like it
Quoted from Dr-pin:Omg not theese wierd castratos again.
Cant you just bother homepin?
I never understood Rush's appeal either, but if I were a pinball manufacturer it'd be a theme I'd consider. .
Quoted from Guinnesstime:Turns out the existing Stern and JJP themes aren't that bad after all.
Yes they are but the suggestions are even worse and explain the bad ones we currently get. Harry Potter? WTF is happening here.
That's a shame.
Quoted from Hazoff:Harry Potter? WTF is happening here.
I did not know the kids that read those books and watched those movies were old enough to have their own kids to force it upon now. I guess time flies when you really don't care.

You are a drug load trying to expand your territory while fending off rivals. Discover new trade routes, introduce new product lines, tunnel under walls, plan daring prison escapes.
Federal Pen physical lock. Tunnels. Prison toy with walls that fall down during the ESCAPE! multiball.

Harry Potter is one of the best selling book and movie series of all time.. i dont get it either but they would sell a shitton of those.
Quoted from ataritoday:How about sitcoms.... Seinfeld ?
Great show, but for reasons I can't explain, I don't see this as being a good pinball theme.
Quoted from Elvishasleft:Harry Potter is one of the best selling book and movie series of all time.. i dont get it either but they would sell a shitton of those.
Maybe a thread like this should come with suggestions on what the proposed game contained.
From that sense harry potter is a good theme. Playfield with castle, forrest, monsters etc etc. Wizardmodes with objectives from the series.
What would a seinfeld or bubolic plague pin contain, that would make it fun and attracting?
Quoted from Viggin900:JJP themes? Personally I think they are horrible. WOZ, Dialed in, and Willy Wonka? Its just cashing in on hollywood but would the theme be in the top 20 of anyones list? Maybe at a casino but not pinball.
I think both wonka and woz are excellent themes.
They have great events, locations and stories.
They are classics and can easily said be appealing to most people.
What is wrong with them and what do you think are better and why?

Dude you own an Ocktoberfest now there’s a theme?
Conan the barbarian
Evil dead 2, 3 Army of darkness.
Led Zeppelin
Mad Max 1,2, 4, fury road for sure! top 5 easily.
Quoted from Dogford_Studios:Ready Player One and the forecoming Two.
Ready Player Two is already published. It's supposedly pretty bad. After the utter disaster that was his Armada book, I can't bring myself to read it.

Ur both very right.

I don't think so. Harry Potter is still a kids film. It will sell but nothing out of the ordinary.
