Quoted from MikeS:

Did Jack say something about the Collectors editions shipping before the end of this year or did I miss hear that? Maybe that's the biggest reason to buy one?

Collectors editions will be for sale until 12/31/2016. A $1000 deposit will secure your spot. However many machines have deposits on New Years Eve 2016 is the number of machines (collectors edition) that will be made.

Announcements coming in the next couple of weeks on what will be different from the collectors edition compared to the limited edition.

if anyone is thinking about getting one (standard, limited, collectors), let me know. also, if you are an Illinois resident and order directly through JJP, they (JJP) are required to collect sales tax as they have an office in Chicago. If you order through a neighboring state distributor (KingPin (me), Pincades, Pinball Company), then we are not required to collect the sales tax (although you are supposed to declare it on your taxes).

$250 deposit on standard edition
$250 deposit on limited edition
$1000 deposit on collectors edition

all deposits are fully refundable up until the machine is on the assembly line.

production scheduled to begin 2q of 2017

call, pm, or email with other questions as to not clog up this thread.

Quoted from bemmett:

2. Adding a "frequent buyers club" or something of the sort for future games. I've now been through the ringer and stuck with them the whole way buying a WOZLE and a Hobbit LE and now one of the Dialed In LEs likely, adding some kind of discount or loyalty to their customers who stuck with them thru the first 2-3 titles and want to beyond. Discounts are #1 thing that would be nice. Free Radcals, who knows just give something back to the people who have been loyal customers. Maybe they get a massive discount to be in on this CE version or future LE versions

maybe you should find a new distributor? all of my previous customers just received an email last week about MY loyalty program.

I have a couple of customers that ordered Collectors Edition, but the majority are going Limited Edition. If you have extra money and want to be part of a selective group, then I say order the Collectors Edition, but do it from a distributor as they are the ones that take the machines to shows, and they are the ones that come to your house to do service, do the actual delivery and install... or maybe that is just me.

Quoted from TRAMD:

Does anyone know how many CEs ended up being ordered? At least you cannot order them anymore on the website.
And after all of my complaining about the theme and appearance, I am in for a DI LE. My love for JJP, Pat Lawlor and all the praise this game was receiving convinced me.

150 are being built.

Quoted from PinballSTAR:

I second this... CHILL. I sold him his game so every time he posts here I get 5 emails and a few phone calls. Dude, I love you but please relax you're going to have a stroke. ; )

which in turn will give joe a heart attack. this guy is already stressed to the max.

Quoted from RichieWrench:

According to JJP all 150 are sold and there is a waiting list. So they are all taken for and I think very few are waiting to be still sold. If What I was told is to taken as true, bit I have been lied to before.
Okay ....I will be back and I am thinking about starting another topic...lol

all 150 are sold, but that doesn't mean they were sold to end users. they have all been sold to distributors / end users. i have no hard numbers, but it would not surprise me at all if Automated has a few left after all the current end users have theirs. So, you were not lied to, but at the same time you probably didn't ask the right questions.

#695 6 years ago
Quoted from Cserold:

What do you mean they were unsold? If they were sold to distributors those games are still sold. perhaps that is not what you are saying.

i believe he is saying that the Australian distributor ordered some CE, so they are technically sold out from JJP, but not sold to the end customers yet.

It's the same thing that happens with all of the Stern Limited Editions. Stern announces a game, within a couple of days they are "sold out," but the truth is that Stern has sold all of them, not that the distributors are sold out. Same applies to concerts, sporting events, cruises, etc. The main company may be sold out, but dealers, distributors, resellers, etc have some left to sell to the general public (usually at higher than msrp prices.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Lol - I am sure someone is going to make a nice topper.

people make toppers all the time. i have a friend that has all kinds of topper made from the little funko pop dolls. this does not mean that they are Official JJP Toppers.

on a side note, i have a couple of Collectors Edition machines available if anyone would like to get on the list.

#735 6 years ago
Quoted from Spankey:

It's not like the topper really costs anything or is taking away from any aspect of the game. If you don't want it, don't put it on. To those that want "something", it should be in the box.

personally i would like to see all manufacturers go to a "a la cart" system. here is the base game $xxxx. if you would like to add powder coat $xxx, mirror blades, $xxx, topper $xxx, etc, etc.

i am sure it will/would be a logistical nightmare for the people selling machines (myself included), but that way the base game could be cheaper and the people that want the "everything and the kitchen sink" model can have theirs as well.

Quoted from MikeS:

JJP basically does this with the Standard model but the problem is that the price is still too high for their entry level game. Really, what would you want to cut out of the Standard model to save more money? With the way JJP prices games the Standard isn't an attractive option because they don't pad the LE prices like Stern does. When Stern does an LE they add about $300 worth of extras over the Premium and charge $1200 more for it but limit it to 800 or less games. When JJP makes an LE they add $1200 in extras and charge $1000 extra for it and basically make it unlimited. Because of this the LE is the better value and better selling model and very few opt for the Standard. I'd really like to see JJP price the Standard model competitive to the Stern Premium model and actually make it a good value buy.

the way the stern pricing seems to be going, you may just get your wish.

i did not know....i thought it was a little weird because when I had it up next to Woz and hobbit...it was shorter...i never asked for them...just got them in the mail.....I should ask Joe...maybe they are sending them to all the owners

Yes, all dice owners will be getting new legs. Mix up while ordering caused all the ce legs to be woz/hobbit legs to get powder coated instead of di legs.
