The Pinside piranha are out and hungry this time of year and it's a beautiful thing to behold!!!
Exciting times!!
Quoted from o-din:I've seen enough. Nothing more to see here.
Time to log out and hit the bottle.
Hang out, the aftermath will be more entertaining than the movies.
Grab your Pirates booty popcorn too.
Hang on to your hats and glasses folks, between Stern and JJP, premium licensed Mickey Mouse pinball isn't getting any cheaper anytime soon!!
Does JJP have all three models at expo?
It's obvious the wow factor between between CE and LE.
Trying to relay any key SE and LE details differences on sculpted toys and targets mentioned in specs?
Maybe distributors could chime in. Thx.
Quoted from rai:Stern PotC is not a bad game, I have owned it for 10 years now. It's got a lot of neat toys (ship, treasure chest and mix master) the code is not over the top great like LotR was but it's nice code and easy to explain, newbies love it but hard enough for more advanced players.
Agree, a good Stern, and for half -one must love Pirates and JJPs version.
If it plays as well as it looks, the video/audio may be a non event.
Seems this news would be way more critical to a theme like Toy Story.
Quoted from LTG:But the cost could be horrendous. Deal with each individual actor or actress. And that is the first part. Okay. Rights were bought. Times twenty three. Some cheaper than others. Times 23 all the attorneys and what not to do it.
Then show one of the twenty three parts to Disney. Audio or video. And Disney says no. ( think back to the hell Stern's POTC went through ) then try and fix what ever to get it in, or delete it.
This isn't hundreds more per game. This is thousands more per game.
If this could have been done reasonable. I'm sure Jersey Jack Pinball would have done it.
As it is. JJP is working with what they have. And have some of the best people there ever was doing it. And are working hard to make a great game.
LTG : )
An obvious question perhaps, but if the limits of this license were known going in based on the past, then why revisit it?
No one was necessarily lining up with any interest of a new pirates game. (Until now)
JJP must have had a clear vision going in and how to work around it.
Quoted from LTG:There were other reasons in the deal.
A package deal perhaps?!
They did. JJPPOTC got high praise at it's Expo debut.
LTG : )
They sure did, and it looks great so far!
Thanks LLoyd!
Quoted from SwimLaw:Really hard to justify spending $9K-$13K on a "fan" pin with no official IP other than cabinet/playfield art.
People will pay 9-13k, and just did for an unlicensed original theme only trusting the designers vision.
The POTC license isn't like having SW. I think JJP can and will work around it.
As usual, you have to enjoy playing it to drop this kind of scratch.
Quoted from daudioguy:I get it. I am a big fan of several of the Klaus Badelt music cues from the first movie.
JPOTC is turning out to be a great pinball game and I am trying to do it justice. I hope lots of players will have many enjoyable hours playing it.

I think a lot of us who follow your work “get it” too.
I think others will be blown away when they see your talents integrated into this project.
Thank you for the efforts, can’t wait!!
