Quoted from vireland:
Not that long ago - Whoa Nellie.
That's basically the estranged uncle that no one likes to talk about at Thanksgiving.
I'd rather have Toy Story than WOZ as a theme a thousand times more.
If I'm flipping channels and a Toy Story movie is on, I might watch. If WOZ is was on, I'd never watch.
JJP Theme Ranks so far:
3) Anything else they could come up with
Gameplay wise, DI blows both out of the water.
Quoted from Rondogg:
I keep hearing people cry for Jaws. Why? Seriously, how many modes could there be? Get the shark? Ok that's the obvious one. Get people off the beach? That would be fun for a minute. Then what? Comb the beach? Build a bigger boat?
Same with "Joe vs. The Volcano"
Lots of uncorroborated info, but you keep hearing it over and over.
Also the Toy Story 4 Movie is a 2019 release, so you wouldn't think they'd launch a pin based on a that franchise now and ignore the new one.
Quoted from rubberducks:
Can't say I think it's the greatest idea to have a big image of Depp staring at you from right between the flippers on the pf, given that some will be rather less than avid fans of his, but otherwise interested in the game.
In fairness he's kind of a main character.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:
Sounds like an incredible Keith Johnson ruleset.
Here's some details
105 modes (chapters is what Eric called them)
5 are randomly assigned to each of the games 5 films
Millions of different combinations so no two games will every play the same
It's like 20 TSSPs.
Quoted from delt31:
What is this pressing of that mini screen - reminds me of that dumb star wars move. Why do companies do that? Otherwise looks good. Sound effects a little weak too. Nice looking game.
There's a button on the lockdown bar. Not pressing on the screen. Also likely Beta code
There have been a LOT of great posts in this thread. This may be my favorite.
Quoted from Hogbog:
So, what do you guys really think?
So glad I got to share my game with everyone last night. It's a challenge all in itself to design a game and need to keep It secret from all of your pinball pals for so long. It is a monumental effort to get a game up and running from a concept, and I would like to thank the rest of my team here. Dan, Yolanda, and Wally (Mechanical Engineers), Tony(Electronics), Keith, Joe,JT, and Ted(Software), Mike &Fernando (Purchasing/BOM support), and our entire crew in NJ! These are the people who took some crazy ideas and turned them into a reality.
Can't wait to hear from all of you, and meet you guys at the shows. Thanks for all the love!
AMAZING. I preordered last night. Never done that before. Blown away. GREAT job!
I'm going to call my Audi dealer and switch out my A6 for another A6 I think I'd like better.
They do this, right?
Quoted from iceman44:
No BM66 has the best video integration and it’s not even close. Throw in call outs from Adam West and Burt Ward and it’s what everybody seems to want every time a pin is released
As for Potc. I don’t really care about the video. The movies sucked except the first one and anything that gets put up on the screen will be cool
And I’m getting a CE so I don’t have to look at Depp, besides the fact that the topper is awesome!
So on one hand you love BM66 because it has the best video integration of any pin and on the other you love Pirates because it has no chance of ever having the best video integration of any pin despite having a 27” tv in there?
