Quoted from Rarehero:

One thing the most of the most beloved pinball machines have is HUMOR. Humor is sorely lacking in most modern games, as they're all based on action/epic type licenses. Muppets are FUNNY. Well, maybe not the new TV show that was cancelled...that blew...but watch the original show or the original Muppet Movie. Even Muppets Most Wanted is very funny. If you had the Henson people writing custom dialog and doing new live action Muppet clips for the display, that could be insanely entertaining. You could have the two old hecklers, Statler and Waldorf as little animatronic Muppet toys in a balcony on the playfield, watching the ball and making fun of you the whole time you play.

I'm not keen on the muppets but do agree with you that humour is lacking from newer games and it would be great to see more of it.

Perfect timing for the Stranger Things pin with the launch of Season 2.

That would be a killer theme.

POTC the movie does nothing for me. If it were based on the ride though that would be different. I can't write that off as easily.

Quoted from o-din:

And this one? lol.
I hope if they do make another POTC pinball machine, it has nothing to do with the movies and pays a better tribute to the ride.

Agreed. Movie does nothing for me but the ride would be hard to resist. I grew up on that thing and have been on it many many times.

Quoted from Oldgoat:

It is my understanding JJP wants to produce two new titles a year. In order to to do that in 2017, they would have to ship the second title before the end of the year (which I think is very unlikely). If they achieve this in 2018 and follow the same schedule as 2017, it will mean significant compression on the second 2018 title. My experience with schedule compression is that it is incremental. FOr example, a 3 mo compression for #4 giving 9 mos to deliver #5. So my assumption is based on that experience Obviously, we will know the answer next week, just curious to know if any info has been provided.

I believe jack said something like a title every 9 months, it was less than 2 a year though. I suspect they will do the same as with DI, put it on location for a while for testing and then start rolling them out after a bit.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

It would seem to me that a reveal and marketing of another game would cannibalize the one that was just released (??) or do I not get marketing at all?

Guess it depends on your strategy. One company might focus on building hype up, getting product out as quickly as possible, and then repeating. Another might take another longer term view assuming the product will speak for itself and drive sales.
