Wow. Surprised surprised surprised he was still alive.

Do not forget his singing 'Back Home Again in Indiana'. He did that opening, for the Indy 500 a total of 37 times.

Heck of a baritone voice many people did not know. I think his version of "Impossible Dream" was a big one.

Yep, we go to the Indy 500 every year and he will be missed for sure. RIP Jim.

Even though I am from Ohio, when watching the Indy 500, I always felt the emotion when I heard "BAAAACCCKKKK home againNNNNNNN" The plays on my I500 tonight are for you, Jim.

He sure did sing nice.
Heaven has a new member for the choir!

I used to enjoy watching Frank Sutton chew out Gomer regularly.

Ran into him in Hawaii. A nice guy who went out of his way to acknowledge us.

Shazam!

Didn't really know about him singing Back Home Again in Indiana until the first time I went to the Indy 500.
Dude could sing.
Sad he's gone.

So sorry to hear...

I was just talking about him last night to my son. I didnt know if he was still with us.

Andy, at 22, his biggest joy is to push his phone in my face with dank memes and more,
and one led to another which had me ask him to bring up Leonard Nimoy,
"Spock Sings".
Now, hes into Excision, and this was beyond torture, so I asked him if he new who Gomer Pyle was,
and he did from reruns, and had him pull up a video....

His response was priceless!

Ive had Joy since Andy Griffith, and you made us laugh last night. RIP.

Jim Nabors was much more than Gomer Pyle. He had a great singing voice. Remember seeing his albums at my fathers warehouse and thought it odd that Gomer sang.

Gomer......a big part of the pure genius of the " Andy Griffith Show"

Well if you really want to get attached to Vid I would start by buying him a drink. He seems to be a pretty good conversationalist and you never know where it might go.
