I picked up a strong “mission accomplished” vibe from the quoted statement, so if I am going to jump to conclusions I’m jumping toward optimistic ones. I know they have had a few hiccups, including present controversies, but looking at the bigger picture it is undeniable they have come a VERY long way since this topic was first started 2 years ago.
