    Hi Guys,

Is it just me who thinks that Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds would make the ultimate pinball theme. It has all the elements to be a classic!
    - Iconic score, if you haven't heard this then it is a must! (chances are you have heard it but just didn't know what it was)
    - SteamPunk theme
    - MARTIANS!

The story, the orchestral rock music and plot lends itself perfectly to creating a beautifully rounded pinball machine.

    Someone needs to make this!

    "It's a helluva start,
It could be made into a monster
If we all pull together as a team."

Sounds good to me . I like the art !
    Run with it.

The FP version is a blast to play. It's designed like an early SS game.

I read this as Wayne's World and clicked on it to see. I like your idea though. Great music.

    PARTY ON!!!

Seriously guys, in the right hands this could be an absolute classic.

Maybe I should make a poll.

Never heard of it but why not; can't be any worse than iron Maiden music.

    #7 6 years ago

I prefer the George Pal version for a Pinball machine....

I love the Jeff Wayne album, but I have to agree - the sound effects for the martian spacecraft are legendary! I've stolen.. er paid homage to those in numerous productions

Are we at least in agreement that War Of The Worlds is a great theme?

I saw Wayne and World in the title and my brain immediately thought of waynes world, party time, excellent.

    good luck in your adventure

As long as Tom Cruise has nothing to do with it

Fer sure!! It's got it all....cool Martians, nifty spaceship, snazzy death rays, atomic explosions, Ann and Gene and plenty of destruction!

Agree! And those creepy ass sound effects when the Martians were prepping to fire! Still sounds awesome in surround sound.

Haven't heard of this, but I'm on it tonight.

For the record, this is one of my favorite books/movies. I'm a big fan of the C. Thomas Howell version as well. Pretty true to Wells with a "modern" setting.

I could easily see this theme as a pin.

Just leave Tom cruise out !!

    An insta buy for me...genius

Start with "Forever Autumn." Great song.

Adding onto that the Richard Burton narration...!

Found this at the Goodwill a couple months back. First I'd heard of it. Lead me to the quadraphonic version which is a must listen. Wasn't big in the states, probably because it wasn't radio friendly. But it was obviously huge in England where there have been many famous performances of it over the years.

Think of the awesome toys you could have in this pin, big Martian machine mechs, ‘Thunder child’ steam boat

Would be the greatest music pin ever made in my opinion. Going to see the live WOTW show in Cardiff later this year. I created the virtual pinball version a few years ago, but a real WOTW pinball game?.....now that would be my first NIB purchase for sure.

"Never before in the history of the world had such a mass of human beings moved and suffered together. This was no disciplined march - it was a stampede - without order and without a goal, six million people unarmed and unprovisioned, driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of civilization, of the massacre of mankind."

I would love to see this classic album made into a pinball theme!

I’ve actually already seen this video on YouTube while researching code update for RFM. Also like your visit to Stern, certainly an eye opener!

If you are a fan of Jeff Wayne's The War Of The Worlds... then I HIGHLY recommend this audio book:

    https://www.audible.com/pd/Jeff-Waynes-The-War-of-The-Worlds-The-Musical-Drama-Audiobook/B07JC6S1MP

It is EXCELLENT! It is essentially an expanded version of his album with the whole story fleshed out. Great music, great sound effects, great voice acting. Over 5 hours long. The only thing it doesn't have is the singing parts from the original album. Listen with headphones!

If you are new to Audible then your first book is free. But even if you have to pay full price, you will not regret it.

Ive been working on a pinsound mix for my AFM based on the soundtrack and callouts. Long long project.

Agree awesome theme and I would love to see a pinball released.
