I was talking with my friends about Jeff Beck the other day. Not sure how he came up. Everyone recognized that he was a very well know guitarist but no one could name a single song he played or participated in.

This was out before I was even in grammar school. But I do remember it.

Sometimes, there's a man. Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there.

Crap I forgot about Flash, with Carmine Appice, and guitar shop, with frickin’ Terry Bozzio AND Doug Wimbish on bass! Damn it I need to break out those vinyls

Awful news. As mentioned above, he was the guy that made all the other guitar heroes take a knee. Saw him 4 times over the years and the dude was just from another planet, even in his 70s.

    Keith Moon - drums
    John Paul Jones - bass
    Jimmy Page - 12 string
    Jeff Beck - lead

    Man.....that sucks.

Slingshot from the Gremlins 2 soundtrack is one of my favorite tracks from him.

When I first saw the pic, I thought there was a joke in there or something. I’m sure that Christopher Guest would be honored to be confused with Jeff Beck, however.

His only sin was never finding a group of players to make a Rolling Stones or a Led Zeppelin, if that’s even what he wanted to do.

I have to admit, I get my fill quickly if just listening primarily to instrumentals.

He was my second favorite guitar player in the 70s after Larry Cornell. I don’t know what happened to him, but Beck kept on coming with the great new material.

He was definitely a talented guitar player. It seemed like he stretched the hell out of those strings when he played.
