As visible in the attached image, the crane is not passing above the ring at the right time to pick up the ball.
How do i calibrate this?
As visible in the image, the slotted holes only give room to adjust the ring goint the other direction.

There's set screws on the Crane arm and both opto interruptors underneath. Combine those with the two adjustment tests

Hey, thanks
But, the crane arm-screws only adjust the cam that animates the height of the crane right?

so by opto-interruptor i guess you mean, adjusting the set screw / shaft position on the big wheel under the deadworld ring?

The deadworld opto interrupter disc wheel only needs to be adjusted if the deadworld does not stop with the ball in the right position.

If the crane isn't above the ball when deadworld stops, the crane needs to be adjusted. There's a wheel underneath the crane that tells it when it's 'over' deadworld using another opto. If the crane moves over the ball properly, but not at the right time, then that's the issue. If the crane never goes far enough to the right, then that's an issue with the set screw on the crane arm

Just to make sure we are talking about the same adjustments:

Attached images:

In "Lifter Assembly" image, do you mean nr5 or nr17 ?

And

In "Planet assembly" image i guess it would be nr 8 ?

To me it seems as if the crane position ends up perfectly above where the ball should be, the problem is that the ball is not there, its 2cm further down the rotation of the ring.

Nr8 on the planet assembly controls where the planet stops. Hard to see what the ones on the lifter are pointing at, I'd have to compare with the mech on the actual machine. But if the ball on the planet isn't stopping under where the crane is when the crane is over the planet, then a combination of Nr8 and the three screws on the planet disc should fix it. I think you can use test 15 (?) (second from last) in the tests menu to see where the planet stops.

Yes, i think i might need to adjust nr8 on the planet.
I tried with a tiny hex key, however it seems to be really stuck, i am worried i might break something there.
Any idea about what hex key / tool / size needed for this?

Nope, I just tried one until it fit

What I'm going to tell you will probably not be the most popular method, but it's guaranteed to work. Do a full tear down of the crane. Then reassemble all parts making sure you align all set screws with flat spots on the shafts.

Once you verify all parts are exactly where they need to be, follow the crane adjustment procedure through the test menu. That's how I set my game and it worked on the first try and has been flawless ever since. Good luck !
