Well this is our third purchase after not even half way through our Locomotion restoration LOL

Love this PIN after making sure voltages were correct and then playing it

Its not in bad shape but some idiot part mylared part of the play-field and didn't clean it up first so that will have to come off as it's peeling anyway and I think I have read with gentle heat you should be able to peel it off SLOWLEY I hope anyway.

A week pop bumper and one flipper, some old looking caps on the play-field that will have to go and a good clean of all the contacts everywhere. Scoring on all 4 players reels work and reset as expected just need a good clean.

No coin trap and the game is not on free-play but thats fine with us and the coin door just needs adjusting and cleaning as it works intermittently.

Back-glass is in good nik just needs a few bits touching up and a few missing places inked back in. Looks like it's still on 44 bulbs so will replkace all those with 47's.

Apart from that happy with the purchase and look forward to the restoration

Removed the mylar, heat didn't work and neither did freeze spray, the only way I could stop it removing the paint was to do it at room temp very slowly and even then the green paint fared the worst

The inserts are really bad and were loose as hell and came up with the mylar, god knows how they got into that state anyone any ideas?

Did you have any solution on the playfield? I picked up a game today and the playfield needs a complete renovation - is stencils avaliable?

We are still trying to organise a scan of the play-field by a company in Birmingham in the UK. There is a limit on the height of the scanner which might mean that we would have to remove the stuff from under the PF but we really don't want to do this as the amount of work involved is probably beyond oour time and expertise
I will contact them again as if there is enough height (10") on the scanner then the PF would fit in.
We have found someone that has done the cabinet/head stencils for us but just waiting to hear back from him.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Have you considered an HP 4670 ScanJet or a Doxie Flip? I have both and you can scan the playfield yourself.

I use https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/product/computational-photography-applications/image-composite-editor/ to stitch the scans.

That's interesting and we will look into that for sure as if we could get it right would save a lot of time and money possibly.
Have you done a pf yourself in this way?
