I think the white suits the LE and the Pro because the cabinet is mostly deep blue.
The sideart on the premium has a lot of white on it, so I think the black works better for that particular cabinet.

Quoted from Zen_Monkey:The premiums translite isn’t bad but I think anyone who is a fan of the movie will hands down choose the Pro\LE. Those who don’t know the movie seem to like the premium lol
Love the movie. Own a Premium and the backglass is by far my favorite of the 3. Yeah, it's the JAWS poster on the pro and LE. It's iconic. But it's been on literally everything. I'd rather have an original piece of art made specifically for backglass and by the pinball artist. 10x cooler in my opinion. If I want the poster art, you can buy that from any poster place on the planet and stick it near the machine. Premium translite? Only on this machine. Way cooler.
Jaws is my favourite movie of all time
The pinball was a no brainer, went for the premium
Love the translite and needed some reference to Chief Brody (not modded on)
Movie poster is a classic, but it’s everywhere (side of head box, playfield, on the display etc…)
Quoted from Zen_Monkey:The premiums translite isn’t bad but I think anyone who is a fan of the movie will hands down choose the Pro\LE. Those who don’t know the movie seem to like the premium lol
I saw the movie when it first came out but I still like the premium translate better.
Stuck my toe in the water today. Really fun and fast game! Great shots, callouts, and use of movie clips. Pretty detailed ruleset already. I’m one of those topper idiots
“They’ll wish their fathers had never met their mothers, when they start takin’ their bottoms out and slammin’ into them rocks, boy.”
Quoted from PlayerPiano:Just cause it was thrown out there:
Jaws is one of my favorite movies and I love the Premium cab/art package all round. Give me a new perspective on a thing I love > copy/paste and repackage it to me forever
I agree! The movie art is already on the backbox sides anyways. I love the Premium translite and also a fan of the movies.
Haha I turned the game on at lunch time and left it on so I could play a few games randomly during the day today while working from home. I was in the other room when I heard the familiar unnerving screech from Jaws. Gotta love the automatic wifi updates. I had no idea there was a new release. A few minutes later I tried out v.92.
I think the fact that they didn't put the premium backglass (or some version of it) on the Limited Edition tells you everything you need to know... The art package on the Pro and the Limited is on point. It was actually a reason to consider upgrading to the LE... Maybe that was the point? Put the middle school art doodles on the Premium so you have to re-upgrade to get back to the classic Jaws theme? I have a premium and the art package is the only complaint I have about the machine. I guess that, and the finicky reel shot!
Quoted from underlord:Mirrored LE bg is beyond attractive and is a constant childhood reminder in my game room.
No kidding, not even debatable.
Quoted from Zen_Monkey:The premiums translite isn’t bad but I think anyone who is a fan of the movie will hands down choose the Pro\LE. Those who don’t know the movie seem to like the premium lol
Eh, not really. I love the movie and prefer the Premium translite. That's a part of the movie that everyone knows and loves.
Nice looking Lego set
There are a few other brands Lego has been getting the license for that I think we will see in pin format sooner than later...
Excellent.
That will be my topper. Looks great.
much Better and more aesthetically pleasing than some other such Lego sets.
That will be my topper.
I’m sure brick loot will have a light set for the Orca too. https://www.brickloot.com/

If anyone is wondering about the dimensions of the LEGO set:
"Made of 1497 pieces, it features the 35cm/14in high Orca boat and a white shark on a 59cm/23in wide diorama base."

Jeebus, that is like a perfect fit.
I answered a person's question on FB about getting a Pro or Premium. After posting I got to thinking I should put this here as well mostly because of how much I bashed Jaws when it was released.
Premium all the way. When the game was announced/released several months ago I bashed it hard. We are big Jaws fans and it just felt like Stern cheaped their way on it (especially the Pro). We played all versions on location many times and felt this is ok, not great. We were not in love with it. We got to play an LE in OH on vacation about 6 weeks ago and boy did that change things for me. The whole package was excellent (and trust me when I say I normally hate LEs as you don't get anywhere near what you should for the massive price hit). The game played very well and I was really warming up to it but still didn't love it. Move to 2 weeks ago and an opportunity to move a game out of our lineup (that needed to go) happened and involved a trade for NIB Premium. I accepted it even though I was overpaying for Jaws. Got the game last week and I can tell you it is massively better at home than it ever was on location - FOR US. We had a party this weekend and had about 28 people over and they all liked Jaws the best out of all 11 games we have (and we have heavy hitters in our lineup). The game is constantly being updated and improved code wise. I think it is still lacking something to make me put it at the top of my list (over GZ and some others) but I can say it is quite good. I will also say Night Swim and Night Search may have the greatest lighting effects of any game I have ever played. I absolutely love those 2 modes (effects wise) and cannot wait to get them when I play. Jaws has some of the best lighting effects overall of any game we own. Whoever programmed that deserves a bonus.
Take my comments for what they are but the game has won me over and I didn't think it would. Is it a permanent keeper - I dunno only time will tell but I can say it will definitely be with us for a while unless we are forced to get rid of it for some odd reason.
Played a pro on location for the first time. I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. I am on the hunt for a premium now. If anyone in Texas is looking to move on from theirs, lmk.

You can have this one shipped to you https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/179338
Of course you might be able to get a good deal from a distro if you call them on a NIB one as well.

I couldn't agree more! The best part of the Premium art package is that it is between two other machines in my collection. I swapped out the translite in the first 10 seconds of ownership!
As a movie poster collector the Jaws movie poster is one of the most iconic movie posters of all time. Don't take my word for it: https://www.empireonline.com/movies/features/best-posters/
The LE's mirrored backglass is really stunning. The prem backglass is campy cool, but not even close.

Add me to the list of people who really like the premium art.
I am a massive Jaws fan and own the original poster re-release artwork and 3d lenticular (both from bottleneck) and was happy to see different representation. That being said, awesome you can buy the pro translate if you want and swap for those who are not a fan.
Are there any physical differences between the Premium first and second run? did they tweak any hardware?

NOW THAT’S A TOPPER!!!
Quoted from Trekkie1978:How do I get the harpoons for the July jaws quest?
Play the shark hunter challenge mode and shoot a lot.
Agree that you need to play this game at home to really appreciate it. For me it's the sound. It has to be turned up, and most places keep their machines pretty quiet plus there's usually other game noise and bar noise. Jaws sounds awesome with a pinwoofer kit. I was not impressed with the first couple of pros I played in the wild. But once I got a premium at home I fell in love (after replacing that crappy translite of course).
Quoted from RikeIsland:Jaws may not eat the ball but he is enjoying some beer here.

That whole idiotic thread was a big nothing. The game absolutely rocks the way it is. When Jaws goes back down during multi ball it will trap a ball sometimes.

I agree. The idea that people got mad over that was a little odd. Game looks great and the theme is killer. Pun intended.
Quoted from Laserbeak21:NOW THAT’S A TOPPER!!!
Yeah, that would have made an awesome topper! Any mod guys seeing this and going to reproduce it in miniature?
Anyone having IC issues with .92? I never had a problem with it with any previous version but now it disconnects and won’t reconnect for a while, or I’ll get the SD card error, or it will forget my sign in after a game or two.
I’m unable to log into either 4th of July challenge or Shark Hunter challenge. I have 750 teeth to spend, machine is saying I have zero.

Mine is harder to connect now too, ehoh, right next to it connects first try.

Best looking Stern game all the way around Rick!
Almost looks like a JJP game.

Hoping you’re enjoying yours as well Doug. Zero regrets on this one. Elwin’s attention to shot geometry is unique in this game.
Overall the attention to detail is crazy. The Shark Attack video game from the arcade scene sold me. I love the led flicker for the return lane lanterns.
We once again had a blast streaming JAWS Premium tonight. We were lucky enough to have Elizabeth join and answer questions in chat. We also had a TOPPER CAM so if you want to see some of the awesome light shows currently coded in the topper then feel free to check out the stream!
Just installed the Orca Mod from T-syndicate and it looks awesome and is very cheap for what you get.
If you are interested you can PM him here on pinside or on the german forum flippermarkt:
https://www.flippermarkt.de/community/forum/threads/jaws-modding.272741/
I'm not sure which mods are included. Anyway there is the Orca mod, the lantern mod and the flipper toppers. The seagull is from amazon.
Don't be afraid of the barrels blocking the view on the ball, the size is done so you can see the feed perfectly.

I also purchased this mod and Ben does GREAT work !
Typical! 4th of July and I can’t play due to this bloody SD fault crap!?! SD card fault, not valid
Any fixes, ideas?

I had the same problem after I received my premium. I bought a couple different SD cads, flasher ,etc. and it still didn't work. I then used the "auto Update" in the machine and then everything worked and no SD problem.

I’ll try do another update ♂️
SD card gripe thread here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/game-validation-error-update-sd-card#post-8247514
I know the majority of complaints are regarding Jaws but this thread will get ugly with the amount of issues . Agreed this needs to get fixed
A while back I bought nice quality high speed (130MB/s+) Micro SD cards for all of my SPIKE 2 machines including Jaws. Sandisk 32GB cards are less than $15 each and much better than the cheap SDs that comes with the games. They also run faster. For instance my Foo Fighters now boots in 35 seconds instead of 43. The increased reliability of the card and boot speed increase is well worth the $14. Once you learn the simple process to copy the data from the old card to the new one it is almost effortless.
Edit: Not saying this will for sure fix issues others seem to be having, but for the price it is worth it.
