    Quoted from Mudflaps:

Agree on all except artist. I think Franchi would be well suited to do a more photo-realistic take on the license.
Either way, Jaws would be a ‘take my money now’ game unless the license cost neutered any interactive features.

Agree on Franchi, I love Jeremy’s work but Franchi would be my choice for JAWS as you said for a more realistic style.

JAWS is a must buy for me providing they have the audio and video from JAWS (maybe a little of JAWS 2 in there for depth) and it’s gotto have an interactive orca and JAWS.

There’s that mode, and the one where you make shots to kill the shark! Then what? (Like I said I probably lack imagination).

ZEN studios virtual JAWS table did a good job of using the licence to capture the feel of the film and create modes from scenes in the film that weren’t all that extensive in the movie yet are well played out on the game.

The night time sailing mode is my personal favourite where they are looking for JAWS in the film, in the mode the GI goes completely out and the required shot is the only shot that has its insert arrows lit and nearby Lane GI on, pretty cool mode.

"Sharkanado" might actually be a better pinball theme if you think about it, at least humour could be an element too. Maybe Spooky should bang out 250 Sharkanado games to take on Stern's JAWs game "shark-to-shark"! While we're at it, American Pinball could do "Megalodon" too.
That would be pretty awesome, right? Three cool super-fun shark games.

It’s a prototype, after all! The insert count will be minimized in the next update.

The inserts in the place of the sharks teeth is a great idea keep those!

Currently what is the best “water” based game that’s been produced?

Whitewater comes to mind straight off the top of my head as maybe being the best. Although Baywatch is pretty packed and way underrated.

There’s Waterworld which gets a hard time but I’ve noticed more and more people saying it’s actually pretty good if you get past the theme and terrible art but I’ve never played it so can’t comment.

What do others think the best water based game is??

Replace the baby with a pinball and there’s the main mech for the game!

Magnet on the orca, orca tips back Jaws rises out the playfield ball is swollowed!

Do this Stern and I’ll buy it Day One!!

    Quoted from KozMckPinball:

Sounds right on Jaws. Someone posted when Stern received the Jaws license and Eddy's game was way into the design phase already by then. So it looks like Eddy's first pin for Stern is not Jaws.

Yeah the rumour about Stern getting the Jaws licence was pretty new and made it sound like Stern very recently got the JAWs licence.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind the wait if the reality was Brian Eddy game #1 was Bond and Brian Eddy game #2 was JAWS gives me time to save up for both!

Would love Brian to design 2 of my dream themes, love all of his games.

    Quoted from jorro:

What if he does a bond game with the jaws dude?

I’d hope Jaws was in a Bond game he’s one of the most iconic Bond villains, but I don’t want a Jaws bash toy.

All depends if Stern got the whole catalogue of movies or just one specific Bond/actors group of films, either way I don’t think the playfield needs loading with loads of specific toys unless its based on one single movie.

If it’s an entire catalogue of movies a playfield with a fresh layout with some unique and interesting shots (what I Brian Eddy does best imo) with fully licensed Bond video and audio assests would be awesome.

    Quoted from Squizz:

    I'm going for a 10.
out by the end of this year.

If the rumours of Stern getting the Jaws licence are true and it was pretty recent when it happened, I’d love to see Bond first and then Jaws so whoever is designing the game can design the game around the licence and not the other way round having a licence slapped on a generic playfield.

When it comes to licences no one is getting close to Stern in that department although being one of the younger pinheads here @ 33 I would love to see a few licences that’s are more current mixed in with the nostalgic licences, which is why Bond is such a good licence it ticks both boxes!

    Quoted from Mudflaps:

If Stern announces Jaws, I’m going to the kidney clinic to donate both. My liver can handle it, right?

I’ll let you know how mine gets on

    Quoted from Wotto:

The bumper tops could be those little bumper boats that were in one of those awful sequel films ( can't recall the film number )
    [quoted image]

    Quoted from Travish:

The pops should be yellow barrels that "bob" up and down. Make the caps and all attach to the rings.

Yellow barrels would be cool but I’d like to see those used in a captive ball like mech, I always thought the pops would be great as bouys they could rock and make the classic “ding” noise as they fire plus the bouy is classic JAWS, iconic from the opening scene.
