Alright folks! I know there are some rumors that Jaws will be Eddy’s next machine.... my question is, on a scale of 1-10(1 being no chance, 10 being its happening) how confident the community is that this is actually what he is working on?

    Thoughts?

    1 in 10....
Your going to need a bigger boat.

    #3 5 years ago

My only thought is that if it's ever made, I'd buy a standard and an LE.

    #4 5 years ago

haha! I know this title has been kicked around for years on pinside... seems like it always resurfaces.... hopefully the smoke leads to fire this time!!!

Jaws is the only game that would even make me consider buying NIB.

All I know is if the shark doesn't somehow eat the ball, then someone fucked up bad.

    #7 5 years ago

    That's some bad hat Harry.

It's a prank, just some kids with fins attached to them.

Yup! could be bad ass, having the shark breach the play field to eat the ball! oh man! So much cool stuff could be done with the theme. Hope its true!

We know about you, Chief. You don’t even go near the water!

Took me 25 years to realise Harry is the same guy who complains to Brody at the beginning about the bike wheel

Mr. Vaughan, what we are dealing with here is a perfect engine. An eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.

It would be nice if they did it Dracula style ( mist multi)

    #13 5 years ago

i heard its a remake of rescue 911

(i said it out loud before i posted)

    #14 5 years ago

Such an ace theme you know they'd jack it up like star wars or beatles. Smile you son of a . . . .

Scene it probably 100 times, and this is still one of my favorite scenes.

    Id say about a 3

Maybe someone should start a Jaws speculation thread.

    #18 5 years ago

Well, Brian Eddy is working on SOMETHING that will be Stern released by mid year 2019. If not Jaws, then what?

    #19 5 years ago

The JAWS talk was awfully quite for a while... I lost hope... and then that damn post from pinball press happened...

I'd love a Jaws pin but would be ok with this from B Eddy as well.

Lots of hints thrown around. Anyone see if the license was snatched up?

    #22 5 years ago

Iv done some generic google searching for licenses pulls, but damn Pinball FX keeps popping up with regards to Jaws(which sucks). Any more skilled investigators out there? Oh! and a mid 2019 release would make a ton of since with fricken SHARK WEEK!

    #23 5 years ago

Who would be coding the Jaws pin? Art'ing it?

    #24 5 years ago

Brian Eddy is working on his next masterpiece, so I hear? Jaws by Eddy...yep.

i cant wait for the baby shark do do do do do video mode! priceless.

    #27 5 years ago

Time to start saving some money again. Damn you Stern

    #28 5 years ago

When do you think it is supposed to come out?

    #29 5 years ago

It was 14% truth, 86% speculation at this time based off of what was read on FB. I no longer know any insiders in Stern, so there is that. But I have been a bug on Stern’s windshield for years on this title. Maybe this is them hitting the wipers on me or actual interest.

    #30 5 years ago

    Hmmm....

That album cover sums it up. Bunch of buyers waiting for ‘THE’ title to be released.

    Lmao.

    #32 5 years ago

Can't some Pinsider from Chicago pose as a janitor like Harrison Ford in The Fugitive and while on the inside at Stern, just nose around through the development offices and see if Jaws is being worked on? Then report back here? jk. Anyone know how to make fake employee badges?

    #33 5 years ago

Must have Killer Shark mini game

TPF 2020? Given schedule, releases in the works already....I bet Im pretty close.

    #35 5 years ago

Jody Dankberg mentioned off-hand in 2016, Jaws as a pinball idea at Stern. Harmless comment but hey....maybe:

Jaws best movie ever, boring pinball theme.

    #39 5 years ago

I asked Gary Stern about Jaws a little while back, and the way he brushed it off in a non convincing way made me think that Jaws was maybe already in the pipe line at Stern.

    Fingers crossed!

What music would be good for this theme?

    #41 5 years ago
    Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

    What game did you re-theme?

    The link says Sinbad.

    #42 5 years ago

I am pretty sure Jaws will be made one day. But theme alone does not excite me anymore. When you do Jaws you need the dumdumdum music, plus all other songs, Spanish lady etc. you need all characters on board. You need awesome boat- and Jaws toys, Shark fin and waterskie droptargets, Big yellow barns pop ups who can submerge, all fitted in a fun lay out Amity style.

I am afraid we will never get the Jaws we would love. This game will be dissapointing like all other fantastic pinballthemes last few years, by lazyness, cheapness and or license restrictions.

Not if Brian Eddy is involved.

    LTG : )

    #45 5 years ago

The Aristocrat Jaws slot machine had a good run in casinos. So a pin would be successful for the baby boomers.

    #46 5 years ago

Nothing would be more tense then trying to hit a timed jackpot shot with the dun dun music!

Like with The Rolling Stones if the ball didn't interact somehow with the 'Tongue And Lips' ...massive missed op

    #48 5 years ago

Always thought Baywatch would lend itself to a retheme as Jaws - it's an awesome playfield already. Switch out the Tower for a boat/shark mech !

Don’t lose faith Brother. I always wanted a Zombie themed pin, pushed Gary ( and my friend at the time working there) it would be a great idea. Look how TWD turned out!

Stern's had the license for ages. They watch Pinside so closely it'd make a New York podcaster blush. You type it enough times they make it simple as that.

Question is will there be any mechs? Does the shark only eat the ball on the LE? Can they repurpose the JP bite mech? Or will the game just be artwork and springs?
