Quoted from John_I:

Pinside can be a rough place to say the least and I'm glad to see people be understanding. To me they deserve a full pass on any delays and nothing but words of encouragement.

communication is key !

Quoted from twenty84:

But since you asked, if I was going to build a new game based on this layout this is what I would do: 1) I would have bonus and bonus multipliers (as most pins do) and actually use the inserts on the playfield that were meant for that purpose. 2) If the game was going to involve battle with multiple mermaids i'd use the existing blue and green inserts to indicate which mermaid was active. 3) I was going to build a complicated mech that has 3 individually controllable drop targets I'd use this in the new code. 4) I would add inserts for any new modes (e.g. has Beatles did) and if I was spelling something I would add a way to see that such as a topper (e.g. the Beatles or JP topper) or even light the Fathom letters on the backglass

Let us know when your done... after all pinball is easy !

I get that but try to find another mermaid preorder for sale right now.

are you not the one bailing because you think they are going under ?
didn't see that mentioned in your add .... If I'm mistaken please accept my apology

#3720 2 years ago
Quoted from MegadethHangar18:

they've got your hard earned $$$$$ and you've got Nothing and Know Nothing!

the common problem here is FOMO.... if you cant wait .. buy something that's built and you can have now ... investing in start ups or preordering in a pandemic is just stupid ! I'm sure Haggis will come through no guts no glory !

Quoted from Saltimbanco:

way to go dOn ... are they really worth the 5k for the pre order spot plus the balance and shipping ...

going for the FOMO?

FOR SALE
HAGGIS FATHOM MERMAID #175 PREORDER SPOT
Added: April 26th, 2022
PRICE
$ 5,000 (Firm)

Price is firm

ITEM DESCRIPTION
Did you miss out on the preorder? Not surprising because it sold out in hours. Are you blown away by the quality and beauty of this game?! Are you convinced it'll double in value when it comes out?! Don't despair! Here's your chance to get a spot. You will not find another one for sale.

Game #175

This is not a spot from a distributor. It is directly from Haggis. Once you've paid me by zelle or paypal f&f, I email Haggis with your information and they transfer ownership to you. Haggis then emails both of us to let us know the change has been recorded. A very simple procedure.

Once your game is ready for production, you will owe the remaining balance of roughly $7900.

USA buyers - Container shipping from Australia to Planetary pinball in Nevada is free. You pick up in Nevada or pay for shipping to your location. Alternatively, you can pay for DHL shipping directly from Haggis to your home in the USA. Cost is roughly $1600 and it's said to take 10 days. Haggis has stated that if you chose this shipping option, they will give you a refund on the cost of the "free" container shipping. I do not know how much that would be.

As with any pinball preorder, patience is necessary.

EDIT: I've been asked when the game will ship and when will it reach the USA. Haggis' most recent youtube video update says the fathom mermaids will start shipping next month in may. From my understanding, cargo shipping from Australia to the USA generally takes 4-6 weeks.

Quoted from d0n:

I'm a realist and too honest to do that.

So you think you been duped and are trying sell your extra spots for a premium?

What a straight up guy you are!

#4351 1 year ago
Quoted from d0n:

And the other 249 preorders will be worth squat.

Lucky you, going to get lots of squat!
Again sounds like your panicking about all the pre-order spots you bought and now your feeling the pressure .
I'm enjoying this because I knew one day some flipper would get stuck with machines or pre order spots...
Sadly it's not going to be you Haggis will produce and get your games out to you ,hoping they are the last ones made.
You should just leave this thread and watch your email for your 4 final invoices

#4367 1 year ago
Quoted from Pmaino:

Damian told me on Friday that more Fathoms have shipped out and mine should be going out the second week in June

Now your just going to upset dOn again!
Because we all know they secretly have gone bankrupt!

#4477 1 year ago

Quoted from Mr68:Don has deactivate

And I was just going to offer 15K for his preorder spot

#4483 1 year ago
Quoted from greatwichjohn:

Only a week away from June. Enough delays going on & they should announce what the real problems are going on with production. What is the total number of Fathoms actually manufactured, 2 or 3? Do they have any prototype games, or did they use them as production ones. Lots of questions need to be answered. If the BOM has got out of control for parts, & labor. Now would be the time to come clean about it, & ask for a new price for finished games. Should only ask for remaining payment when the machine is ready to ship out. Too many pinball manufacturing failures since WMS left, or very close to going under.

enough ..... are you taking over for dOn?

#4537 1 year ago

all this and no dOn .....

#4544 1 year ago
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:

That's a sweet looking pallet too!

pallet fetish .... there is a new one !

#4692 1 year ago

Best if Haggis would build all of dOn games at the same time and demand the payment for all..

#4718 1 year ago
Quoted from meSz:

people were "not going to get their games". He said repeatedly over and over and over again (in broken record style) that he felt, something like, Damian would get everyone their game but that it will take a long time to get them.

He must be a real psychic...
No one would have guessed that covid shutting down Australia and major global shipping games would be delayed , glad no other pinball manufacturer has had any issues.

The Nitro Fathom is at Yegpin Show ...
Beautiful game, pictures don't do it justice .

#5081 1 year ago

Had a chance to play the one at Yegpin, yesterday commented on the looks of the game and its a beauty, played it today and smooth as butter, the only thing to comment on would be the sound as you don't get the full experiance in a room of 200 pins and people.
Sure it's got great sound , now how to get it out of there without being seen ?

Order a Ford Bronco ... at least 3 years for one of those ...

#5518 1 year ago
Quoted from Rjbdmdmd:

it was 2 years on the ford bronco and they had consumer price protection rebates

Luckily I didn't order , heard they are having engine issues, but then again very thing and one are having issues.

Back to Haggis sorry for the derailment of thread.
