Quoted from DaveH:

However, if you are saying "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water" in your Coming Soon video, it damn well has to be Jaws, or I'll never take you seriously again.

Absolutely agree. I don’t think they have Jaws, but to use the tag line is a total troll move to generate clicks and buzz.

Quoted from cooked71:

Really? You guys can’t be serious. Maybe you forgot the emoji?

That’s a good point! I’ll start a thread with unfounded rumors combined with famous movie tag lines. That would be so funny! So many thumbs up for me!

“You’ll believe a man can fly” coming soon from Jersey Jack. Ha, fooled ya, it’s Chronicle The Pinball.

Quoted from roar:

I'm struggling with accepting the "Haggis" branding on the backglass, head and apron... I understand the need for it, but for whatever reason I'm getting hung up on it. I've always referred to the game as a "Bally Fathom"... that's on me obviously as it's not like there are other Fathom's out there (Until now)

I just noticed that. Ugh.

“Dad, what’s haggis?”

“Intestines boiled in a sheep’s stomach. Want to play pinball?”

“No, I’m going to throw up now.”

Quoted from pinballcorpse:

If the machine were called "haggis" and that was the art package that's one thing, but it's just a peculiar company name.
There are plenty of games by several companies with "hey look the company is named after me" names, with full fledged art packages that are more questionable than the word "haggis".

Medusa is next. Bank on it. Why?

Because I just finished my Fathom playfield swap today, and Medusa is next to get a new playfield. As soon as I’m done, look for the announcement from Haggis.

Quoted from Mr68:

Keep in mind this is now a hype thread and Fathom is the shiny new object standing directly in front of you.
In a short couple of weeks Stern is due to drop The Mandalorian and that will be the next shiny new thing we will all want and it will ship immediately. Meanwhile your deposit money here will be tied up for several months and waiting on updates before actual results can be a bit of a grind for some.
That said, GO TEAM HAGGIS!

Spot on. New shiny requires patience. I’m pulling for Haggis as they seem to be enthusiastic and ready to go, but stuff inevitably happens. Buyers need to temper expectations for game delivery based on unforeseen delays, but there seems to be a lot of goodwill all around.

Quoted from RustyLizard:

Not to be negative, but I was playing Fathom last night and she was angry. I wonder how mode play in 2.0 will go on days like that. My first game was about 45 seconds with ball 2 being a house ball. It's part of what makes these old games good.

I bet you breakfast they’ll do a ball saver displayed on the numeric display for 2.0.

Quoted from Clytor:

Are they using WPC style flipper mechs on these?

This will be interesting to see. Purists tend to get hung up on ‘flipper feel’ and it’s hard to capture without using old school mechs. I’m sure we can look forward to the debates when the games ship.

Quoted from dr_nybble:

Anyone else notice that Planetary shows under "New Items" both Fathom and Medusa bumper caps?
[quoted image]
Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.

I bought Medusa pop bumper caps from PPS a month ago. Same item #, same price.

I was deployed with the Aussies, and they taught me the amazingness of Tim Tams. Also, the Tim Tam Slam...

Take a Tim Tam, bite a 1/4” portion from each end and use it as a straw in a glass of milk. It turns into a gooey, slushy mess. It’s awesome.

One of the many amazing things to come out of a great country.

Quoted from Pinzap:

I’ve never tried it with a Tim Tam, and I’m sure it’s better, but I was doing an American version of this with Keebler Deluxe Graham’s since the 70’s. Didn’t have a fancy name for it, but I definitely have to try it with a Tim Tam now.

Ha, we used them as currency downrange. They were like cigarettes in prison.

“How much for the holster?”

“Three boxes of double coat.”

“Two boxes.”
