There were hints that we may see a live stream of it soon on Melbourne Silverball. At least that was my takeaway, could be wrong.

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:What a marketing opportunity. A free snake inside every pin.
I have a white-tailed spider https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-tailed_spider
in one pinball machine that comes up through the switch holes on the playfield during gameplay and ive been trying to get him for months with the ball but he is getting pretty good.
Also have a Huntsman https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntsman_spider
living in one of the machines backboxes who is a good 4" in diameter, we have a decent relationship, so any maintenance on that machine requires me to notify him first.
Maybe this is an Australian thing?
Quoted from punkin:No, Huntsman is cool, i chase em round the place in the dark when i go for a piss. they see me, i don't see them till they scuttle out of the way.
But whitetail? No way man, fumigate that thing. In any case, don't lick it.
GoodAussieAdvicePunkin
Wait, wait.... Don't lick it?!
Hypothetically what advice would you give to someone who has been doing so?, just asking for a mate...... ;P
i did think about spraying some bug spray in the coin door at one stage, and then thought, no wait, hydrocarbon propelled spray in to an enclosed space with sparking things......
Who doesnt have a Chiko handy holder in their car? I think its actually law in some states
I know ill be using one of mine in my pin-gulp
Quoted from screaminr:I saw Pete Smith trying on suit pants in an op shop .
I knew a guy who worked at the Chico roll factory , he said they were made of beaks and feet
Only the best beaks and feet, battered, and shaped in to a 6" long cylinder
Quoted from Mancave:LOL, worth a read though, especially handy advice about the stick
I cant believe there are people out there that still
1. Don't know the importance of the stick
2. Are not carrying a stick!
who are these crazy people???
Can we still talk about Australian wildlife?
Even during a Australian pinball stream they make an appearance
https://clips.twitch.tv/CoweringCourageousCardTebowing-DQW-pfd6FczL6JLw
Just finalized the transfer with Damian of taking over someone else’s deposit.
Very happy to have a slot on one of these.
Absolutely love it, seeing the mix of classic machine with the revisited code and LCDs on the apron is gorgeous
So glad I was able to sneak in late on this one
Quoted from Pmaino:Just got my invoice for my Mermaid. 8 weeks to make from payment.
Awesome
Series Ticket Holder?
I’m considering joining the series ticket myself
I personally can’t wait to see a higher res video that captures the displays on the apron. I like the idea of them being in the instructions card position adds that technical step forward without compromising the back glass art.
Considering they are making mirrored back glasses on site it could open up another opportunity for them just to produce certain reproductions under license
Would be nice to have someone on this side of the world doing backglass
Quoted from screaminr:That would be great , put me down for a fish tales mirrored back glass .
I'm afraid to order one from halfway around the world .
I ordered a backglass from the other side of the world, it took just over 7 months in shipping alone. After about 4 months I had given up and forgotten about it, until one day it just turned up.
While it was a nice backglass to replace a old translite I don’t think it was work the close to $700aud I paid for it
Now I’m just taking out my arse here but it would seem to be a lost opportunity to not have that process (backglass manufacturing) running as much as possible
As a nice side income stream.
I posted this in one of the unfrequented haggis threads but would be interesting to get some opinions in here about the other games in the series.
My bets would be on the following in this order based on likeness of parts between the models
1. Fathom
2. Centaur
3. Eight Ball Deluxe
4. Medusa
5. Elektra
Number 5 is the one that I think is the hardest to guess.
While I know nothing at all about licensing I feel that Flash Gordon would still have some type of additional license costs associated with it, being PPS and whoever owns the Flash Gordon License. Making it slightly more expensive to produce. And in my opinion if you were going to do a multilevel playfield remake Elektra is a better option
I’ve never really gotten in to EBD but it seems to have a cult following. If it was my choice I would replace EBD with fireball 2
What is everyone’s thoughts?
Interesting choices, for some reason I thought they were all going to be 1981 pins, but not sure where I got that from.
If it was to span the 1980’s then dungeons and dragons would be at number 3, after centaur of course
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:Look at the bright side, someone inquired at Cointaker on when they'd get a new Godzilla Premium if they put a deposit today, and they told them early 2024. With Haggis, you can get your game quicker than a brand new Stern!!
Wow 2024? you would have to think that it more of a "stop bothering us with enquiries quote" but stern does have a pretty full roster for the rest of the year, the only way they are going to get on top of it effectively is to either start retiring games in the catalog or go 24 hours on the current production line (parts shortages not withstanding)
I went looking at Medusa to learn more about the game
I found this old TNT video, and after watching it I can definitely see a 2.0 version working very well
Anyone care to explain who/what Duck pinball is? Looks like he is a pinball restorer from Argentina?
Seems like a long way to go for someone considering the haggis playfield construction process is different then a standard pinball machine?
Someone educate me here on what I’m missing
Quoted from Mr68:Posted on Kaneda's Facebook page.

This post here
Duck pinball arrived at haggis to work on fathom
No I believe the great sandwich is working on the DeepRoot RAZA machines. There are secret investors that he can’t talk about
Quoted from Our_Man_in_Oz:Yeah I was scratching my head too when I saw it on FB.
My best guess is that they needed to resource up to improve production line throughput with spray painter for the cabinets clear coating, also isn’t the acrylic on the playfields also clear coated?
Was watching the teaser gameplay video yet again today and am thinking we are going to find the 2.0 code to be surprisingly deep
Then I started thinking about what a centaur revisited code could be like
Personally I hope that it’s theme is very dark, lots of metal in the background music etc. summoning dark creatures etc etc
Is it just me or do all us pinball nuts in Australia recognize the inside of that van and the joy it brings when it rocks up in your driveway !
Quoted from visualmagic:Posted the video over at Aussie Arcade if anyone is keen to see. Enjoy!

Amazing, absolutely fricken amazing
Congratulations
Quoted from RobF:It looks like there will be at least one Fathom at the NWPAS this weekend. Also Nitro Pinball said they will have one at their own event across the street. Exciting!
You mean haggis fathoms yeah?
Very excited to see that!
Quoted from fastpinball:Even under the playfield is pretty!

Thanks
Please post a gameplay video if you can! Can’t wait to get mine
Quoted from Zukram:Beautiful game, with great finish an details inside and out..[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Looks amazing
Would love to see some pictures/video of the lcd displays and the menu system
What version of code is it running?
Quoted from punkin:Better not tell you that half the world makes their sugar from beetroots then Andy.
I had to go look this up as I was suspicious, well F@$k me, first link I click says it has 5x yield compared to cane!
Any new news? How are the current owners enjoying their machines? Would love to know more about the 2.0 code?
Patiently waiting for my number to be called up
Quoted from DakotaMike:Awesome! Anyone know how many have gone out yet?
Seems like maybe 2 or 3 a-week average right now?
Not including prototypes, 9 machines have been shown in this thread so far
Quoted from kklank:I just paid my DHL bill to have my Mermaid I’d shipped by air. Should be shipped in the next week or so!
Great job to Damian and crew!
Let’s go Haggis!
Plus a free thank you gift for being patient.
That’s good business. Thanks to Damian.
Congratulations what # out of 250 are you?
I’m guessing you are a Series Ticket holder?
Quoted from chalkup8:Curious to know a rounded figure on that.
9 people in this thread have taken delivery
But I expect pinside to be a very small representation of the fathoms sold
I know a few people in Aus that have orders and have never come near pinside
Quoted from Zukram:We heard there is a patch coming for Celts as well. Not sure exactly what will be included in it yet, but seemed suggested it will be significant..
Last I heard from one of the podcasts or streams was that Co-Op play (player 1 vs player2 & player 3) was awaiting play testing
Quoted from Boof-Ed:I don’t think he was saying 9 had been delivered. I read it as the amount we’ve seen on here are a small proportion of how many have actually gone out.
Yes that is what I was trying to get across
There is only 9 people on this thread on pinside that have posted that they have taken delivery
But I expect that there is a lot more than 9 out there
Quoted from Boof-Ed:I’ve just been informed my game is made and getting boxed Monday. Hopefully shipping early next week.
Great to hear, I am guessing that means we are now past the series ticket holders and on to the masses!!
Quoted from Rjbdmdmd:I received my invoice this morning. I am build number 116...
It will be closer to the order in which the sales were made and related loosely to the invoice number you got when you ordered
The build number out of 250 isn’t related to the order in which machines are being delivered
Played Fathom at Newcastle Pinfest, it’s amazingly beautiful. It’s correct that the photos just don’t to it justice.
Going back today to have another play and take some pictures
Got my email today, my mermaid is boxed up and ready for delivery.
Haggis is only on the other side of the city so it will be at my place next week.
Pretty excited!
Quoted from Our_Man_in_Oz:How long was your payment to ready wait time mate?
No idea to be honest, it was paid in full voluntarily a long time ago. I travel a lot for work and am mostly uncontactable when so, just wanted it to be paid up so it could be delivered when it was ready without me being home if that came to pass
Quoted from chalkup8:Can you drive to Keysborough and pick it up ? I would. Pics of loaded game. "what game did you bring home today " thread.
I would love to but I’m not even in the country at the moment! It will probably get home before I do.
Quoted from Our_Man_in_Oz:Ok, bold move. I hate the whole deposit scenario (especially non-refundable) at the best of times. Impossible to tell in that case then I guess, although sounds like a long time compared to those who were invoiced later.
I believe I am invoice 157 if that helps people playing at home
Quoted from Our_Man_in_Oz:Mine was 200, so sounds like a lot of machines in between potentially
Maybe not
Every order for a machine was most likely placed after an order for a clan membership
So it could be that for every 50 invoice numbers it’s 25 machines
Quoted from MrMikeman:Hey that's the pre-order spot I sold you!! (At cost - no profit, in case some are wondering). Glad to see you got it!
Sure is! You are true gentleman of the hobby. Can’t wait to get home to play it
Quoted from cooked71:So this just swam in…… hopefully get to unbox this weekend.[quoted image]
Congratulations
I just got to unbox mine and have been playing it nonstop. Love the revisited ruleset.
Quoted from pb456:It's missing the mermaid porn.
It’s there
Just not as I imagined it….
Got this back from the framers today
Forgot just how awesome it looks.
Been getting a bit of time in on the machine lately to explore the 2.0 ruleset.
There is a lot there, and I’m learning where the big money is slowly, but I’m not a good enough player yet to consistently get decent scores.
The fathom inlanes are brutal but I’m getting very decent at my nudging.
I’m running code 0.76 which has some known errors that are getting resolved in the next revision
5EA9DDEF-269D-4D8A-91D9-3B323D5885D7 (resized).jpegalso got a friend that after playing mine is ready to purchase someone's deposit/full order that they don't want, he is happy to play the waiting game
Had my fathom since 20th of October last year and it’s been rock solid. Out of the box I spent about 30 minutes just checking some gapping on switches to get it the way I liked (honestly didn’t really change much) and since then the only time I have raised the playfield is to show people the quality of the machine. Inside the machine is honestly just as pretty as the top. The quality is unmatched in my opinion.
I would have somewhere in the range of 700 games in at the moment. (And I still suck haha) but I do love the 2.0 code. I don’t play the original code unless I have people over who know fathom and they want to play it.
I’m on the latest code which fixed the early bugs I encountered (not adding bonus at end of ball is the one I distinctly remember)
I will leave my machines on for 2-3 days at a time and haven’t had any software hang ups.
