Haven't read thru this entire post, but I have a few questions:
1) How much (US) for Mermaid Edition shipped?
2) Where are these being shipped to?
3) What is the expected delivery date?
4) In the promo video, there is an '80's-style soundtrack in the background--is this the music that plays while in play? Can it be defeated via the menu options?
5) Is the backglass a translite or actual glass?
6) What is the warranty on this pin?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Lloyd, any idea on the other stuff?

Are these still available? Who is best to order from, if so?

So if a person ordered a Mermaid Ed today (Assuming they become available), what is the expected delivery date?

Do I believe that Haggis will develop/produce/deliver Fathom? Likely. Will anyone see one in their home in 2022? No f'ing way.
Wasn't it mentioned somewhere on PinSide to never ever, not EVER pre-pay for a pin? Yea, I thought so.....

I wouldn't think it'd be too difficult for Haggis to post a brief update, small as it may be, say once a week. Otherwise, people on here will do what they do best.

I simply cannot understand what is so difficult of showing 1-just ONE picture of these pins on the manufacturing floor. It would instill (restore) a lot of faith in Haggis instead of all of the speculating going on here. I'd be a bit nervous if I decided to pre-order since they (Haggis) seem to almost be evasive in providing updates, pictures, etc.

Punkin...I'm going to make this REALLY simple for you to understand....The man is taking a shitstorm of criticism here...maybe deserved, maybe not. We'll see on that one. But- it's so easy for him to debunk the naysayers by saying, "Fuck you-here's a pic of my assembly floor". By his NON action on that subject, he's making himself a target. Got that? Good.

So let's try to get back to the meat of this thread.....no more National Geographic animal talk, entertaining as it was. No more white-knighting of Haggis by some thong-wearing, leaping gnome-type character. When the hell are they going to communicate with the masses regarding their status? Why all the secrecy? Seriously-isn't ANYONE here just a bit suspicious?

Quoted from fixintoplay:

You have my attention.

When I dealt with Cointaker for the original Alien debacle, I would get a different story every time I asked for the delivery date. I then proceeded to follow up weekly as I was getting really bad vibes about Heighway. Turns out she was simply parroting everything that Andrew was telling her. Frankly, even though she wasn't being untruthful, my credulity was strained. Do I think CoinTaker are good people to deal with? Yes. They were screwed by Andrew just as everyone else was. My main concern was that there was NO fact-checking done re: Andrew and his BS. She took his word as Gospel and that was foolish.
Back to Fathom. Do I think people will see it in 2022? Nope. Eventually maybe, but not any time soon.

To all those who exclaim, "Calm down, it's getting built and be delivered!" , That's great, I'm glad you're full of hope and I admire (sincerely) your positive attitude. BUT-the pinball community has had a storied history of scammers, no shows, vaporware, etc. Anyone here knows that. Haggis *seems* to be taking that same route, mainly by their lack of communication and updates. This brings back bad memories for those in the know. To NOT be suspicious is foolish. To be frank, I can't quite blame Haggis for not posting here (Pinside) as this place is somewhat toxic, regardless of your position on this.

Quoted from punkin:

I knew the history of pinball when i put down my deposit.
Nothing has changed since then. Would happily make the same decision again.

Then you're being foolish, in my opinion. VERY foolish.

Quoted from Mr68:

In the same breath, Kaneda says Haggis buyers need to panic, but he then says he believes games will ship.
Now that's entertainment.

No, that's bi polar.

I can indeed confirm that the topper isn't from the original Fathom. I was fortunate enough to have bought this in it's box back around '82 or so and this wasn't included IIRC.
