Just in for a Mermaid! Haggis order # 299.
Had a beautifully restored Fathom at one point and let it go. Looking forward to this replacement and then some!

Just in for a Mermaid! Haggis order # 299.
Had a beautifully restored Fathom at one point and let it go. Looking forward to this replacement and then some!
Quoted from punkin:I didn't join there club. Don't need stickers and keyrings.
Me neither. I want to support Haggis though. I figure that ordering a Mermaid is a good start.
I may join the club yet as well. Somewhat depends on how soon Centaur is coming!
Quoted from EasternBloc:Breaking the news to the wife over dinner tonight.
Haggis = "Mmmm mmmm Aunt Bee!"
Okay ... I was just looking for an excuse to post the meme.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:What games do you want for 2-5?
One of these for putting next to my EBD and Fathom Mermaid please:
So ... given all the delicious food items available in Australia, but comparatively expensive in the USA, perhaps Haggis would be wise to offer a bonus box of Aussie treats with every Mermaid Edition purchased.
Food for thought anyway.
(See what I did there?)
Quoted from razorsedge:... The team video there: Centaur, Paragon, Viking. I think those 3 will be in the list to come.
I'll be surprised if they remake Paragon as it's a Super Widebody. Certainly worthy though - great game!
Centaur and Flash Gordon are tops on my list. I might even consider replacing my excellent EBD with a remake that has additional code.
Beyond being a fabulous remake of a Bally classic, I think the Fathom Revisited game may appeal to me, as a Seattle area resident, on a subliminal level as well.
1. It's blue and green - traditional colors here (see Seahawks and Mariners team uniforms)
2. The Haggis logos remind me of that of a longtime Seattle landmark - Ivar's seafood restaurants

Quoted from oldskool1969:Bundaberg rum is real Aussie fighting juice. ...
Tony Sopranos's favorite beverage in the "world under glass" on my Sopranos game too!
Quoted from punkin:...
We actually trust the government to do the right thing by us.
That's crazy talk.
Quoted from punkin:It's why we vote them in mate.
To run the fucking show.
Yep. Hope you detected my sarcasm.
Quoted from punkin:#161 said the email from Martin this morning.
Yippee
Close behind you at #163!
Yay
(I requested #001 and am SHOCKED that I didn't get it. ...
Quoted from simbob:Hi folks, sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere... but do we have any indications of which other classics haggis will be reviving?
Thanks!
Quoted from etien:For those pushing for a centaur, the waf is super low on that one, so it may not sell as good as one may think. 8db with multi ball as 2.0 seems more obvious to me.
Bring on Centaur! Fortunately for me, all pinball games are pretty much the same to my wife (she doesn't care), so WAF isn't a concern.
Quoted from Mr68:I get your point but we need easy access to the control buttons inside the door along with anything we might store inside. (I'm assuming Haggis will use those control buttons)
You might be able to do something creative with a blank door if you're motivated. Personally I like the look of a full feature coin door or maybe I'm just accustom to it.
[quoted image]
That door would provide a great nice big "canvas" for more artwork too!
Quoted from feedthebiscuit:I’m regretting asking if anyone had any fathom updates.
Word on the street (FWIW): Haggis is behind schedule on originally advertised Fathom production schedule. Best for any US customers not to expect receiving theirs by this Xmas.
Quoted from punkin:Six weeks avg on the water after loading a full container from aus to US. It doesn't take a genius or any word on the street to tell it won't be before xmas mate.
Nope - it sure doesn't.
Quoted from punkin:I'm lucky in that i'll be getting a Celts before the Mermaid, but i apologize for holding your machine up for a few extra days
I look forward to hearing your insights on your Celts during the wait!
Quoted from Rjbdmdmd:so did you order 2 machines, get the clan club package or the series ticket?
Simply a Fathom Mermaid Edition buyer.
Quoted from punkin:Well i'll be fucked.
Looks like Haggis IS in the business of delivering pinball machines.
[quoted image]
Crikey Punkin! I'm shocked!
No kneesocks with those sandals?!
Congrats on the Celts!
Quoted from punkin:And they are thongs. Sandals have straps.
Well then ... fashion faux pas rescinded.
Quoted from frankmac:Congratulations team Haggis!! Looks and sounds amazing..
Blah blah blah Haggis. Fathom schmathom.
What's going on with Centaur 2.0?! WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?!
(Looking forward to my Mermaid Edition!)
Quoted from d0n:I'd rather not see a topper on an 80's game. ...
The original Fathom had a very cool set of plastics to put on top of the backbox. Continued the backglass theme.

Quoted from jkashani:I have one as well, just have not put it on. How did you mount it?
I pulled the topper pics from this thread which should be helpful to you:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/fathom-topper-assembly
I previously owned a restored Fathom, but never got to assembling/installing the topper plastics before I sold them along with the game to a fellow Pinsider. He assembled it and you can see both at about 20 minutes into this video tour of his gameroom that Buffalo Pinball recently did:
Quoted from flynnibus:That was the CPR plastic set - not original AFAIK
CPR would fill in extra space on their sheets with custom plastics like this. Did the same thing for Getaway, etc
Ah well - still looks cool and I hope Haggis incorporates something similar into a topper.
Quoted from Cappy:Series Ticket Holder. Just picked it up. Just helping ease everyone's worry, they are getting them built!
That's a sweet looking pallet too!
Quoted from meSz:Yeah but for the money spent on these machines you would think Haggis would stain and put a few coats of polyurethane on it at a minimum!!!
(there were too many positive posts in a row, had to break it up with a complaint of some sort!)
No issue there. I prefer my pallets as I do my mermaids. Well built and all natural!
Quoted from GroggyFrogFace:It needs a video. ...
Yep - looking forward to these!
In the meantime ... DAMN - this game looks nice!
Quoted from fastpinball:Do we know each other? I can't keep pinside handles/real names/faces in order sometimes.
I see you aren't far from me (I'm in Gig Harbor) so maybe we can coordinate you coming by to play Fathom. I should be set back up this week.
Aaron
FAST Pinball
Thanks man - that would be cool! I'll PM you.
Quoted from RGR:... May try and do a game play video sometime this week... not sure I will have the time tho
That would be great - thanks in advance!
(Oh for a decent duration gameplay video from anyone!)
Anyone know if/when Haggis will be notifying buyers of where they are in the production line?
I haven't received a response re: this from them.

<<crickets>>
Guess not.
Quoted from kklank:My Fathom is on the plane on the way to Chitown!
Whoop!Whoop!
I’m excited.
Let’s go Haggis!
Congrats!
Gameplay video please.
Quoted from Boof-Ed:... here’s a little Revisited gameplay recorded from my phone if you’re interested to see any. ...
Holy shit - an actual gameplay video! Looks fabulous!
THANK YOU!
Quoted from Boof-Ed:Bogans for those wondering. ...
Quoted from oldskool1969:...I am giggling inside listening to the Aussie call outs
Do we really sound like this ✌️
Now hoping for a secret "Bogan" mode ...
Quoted from fastpinball:If you are at Pinball Expo in Chicago come and play Fathom in the FAST Pinball booth ...
I was hoping to play it in Gig Harbor.
Quoted from fastpinball:I got the games setup after returning from Pinball Expo ... If you want to come by and play it, hit me up.
Aaron
FAST Pinball
Thanks. I actually just played one in a local friend's collection last week.
Cool game! He's had a few issues with it unfortunately though.
Quoted from ultimategameroom:Unfortunately No I didn’t buy the deposit spot. The seller said it would be one of the last machines in the run. It was a very fair asking price. I would have thought that they were built in order of the deposits. Maybe they requested a late build?
My Fathom Mermaid pre-order spot now officially listed for sale. As stated in my ad, I have been informed by Damian that my game "is towards the end of the build list" and expected to be built in Q2 2023.
UPDATE: Sale currently PENDING
Quoted from Aurich:...
I'm just expressing that it looks neat, and like a lot of work was put into it, and artificially limiting it feels like a shame. ...
Quoted from Aurich:...
I personally think pinball is too addicted to the FOMO model. ... And when you see greedy people trying to flip their game for $30k they're just profiteering off it all ...
That's CRAZY talk man!
Just want to let all know that I appreciate Damien's quick responses and assistance in handling the recent transfer of my Mermaid pre-order!
Quoted from Mr68:I was sorry to see you go but totally understand. I'm still really happy about you finally getting your TBL after such a long haul.
Thanks Kim! For the record, I think this is a fantastic looking game and I'll probably be kicking myself for letting it go, but too many pinball "plates spinning" right now between projects, jammed gameroom, and games coming yet.
Quoted from dscapo:I believe the next machine is a Marty Robbins original title. Gleaned that from the interwebs awhile back.
Dammit ... and just when I thought I was out!
I wonder how many songs it will have.
Quoted from LamF:Happy Christmas to us!!
Congrats!
Quoted from surfnrg:wow...someone actually opened one up!!
...
Imagine that!
