Anyone know if a standard Fathom backglass will fit the head of the Mermaid edition?

Quoted from screaminr:

Temperatures in the minus and icy , drive safe mate .

Thanks … we just went through the coldest weather since we’ve lived in TN. It never got warmer than 10 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 nights in a row. Froze up our water in the horse barns and generally made working outside miserable.

Got my outfit picked out for my drive tomorrow to pick up Fathom. Had that sticker on my truck for what seems like a year!

I’ll have a review done by Sunday or so. It’s simply amazing and blazingly fast!

Quoted from c818919taylor:

The bass sound when the ball its the slings is neat.
Lanes didnt look like they were causing a problem. Back right back to the flipper from the putter lane. Did you adjust the ball guide?
The mermen energy meter in the bottom left was interesting. Call out accent is prefect!!!
Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to reading what you have to say.

Yes, I did adjust the ball guide on the right side.

Quoted from Aurich:

Nice review, super thorough. Really looks like a very thoughtful package. I'm incredibly curious about the long term results of the acrylic playfield overlay.
Did you get yours 'raw', or opt for the clear coat on top of it? Only ask because I'm curious how the non-clear coat version feels to play on.

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure what if any coating is on my PF. I looked close with a magnifying glass and could not see an “edge” of added material for what that’s worth. I’ll ask Zach where I ordered it from. Plays like a dream!

Yes sir. That’s the post I made after experiencing the same issue
To properly bend the forks in the autolaunch, it should be removed from the game
Note the area circled in yellow, that part comes off and goes back on in a certain order that is not symmetrical- just take pics as you disassemble it and you’ll be fine.
The hardest part for me was getting the tiny (and very tight) “C” clip off the plunger shaft/linkage
BTW, don’t lose any washers along the way for two reasons - there are electronics down there! And the parts are unique down to the washers and I did not have any washers matching one I dropped (found it after 5 mins of searching)
You won’t need much bend on those tabs and I bent both the right and left tabs toward the outer cabinet (bent then to the right)
Once the auto launch tabs are bent, this allows the ball to “sit back” about a 1/4” more toward the manual plunger tip, thus increasing strike range and force. I changed my silver plunger spring to blue as well but I’m betting the silver would work just fine once all parts are correctly aligned

Quoted from LamF:

Incredible review and photos. We had a lot of the same flipper & plunger issues. It’s definitely beneficial to have an in house tech (not me, my husband. I yell out BINGO every time I see a switch matrix). But the game is just lovely and I had a similar romantic feeling at unboxing. What a beaut. I too felt the mode colors evoked Christmas but it could have just been the timing.

Thanks for those kind words and glad you enjoyed the review
Even happier you’re loving the game!

Quoted from MajorDrainer:

Ball has gotten stuck in pop by spinner twice on Day 1. Ball search does not free it.

I posted a fix in the owners club for the ball trap issue
