I dont think you have to worry about acrylic turning yellow, mostly a trait of polycarbonate.

On the argument of ball movement......
I've never fully understood the reasoning. Sure, in comparishing to really old game with painting pretty much directly on wood, there might be difference, but with new games?

The clearcoat is on really thick.
Clearcoat=plastic.
Sure, you get a different traction, ballspin etc if you apply some wax to the surface, but if you are able to apply wax to clearcoat, it's probably appliable to acrylic aswell.
