Agree. This is what I have been saying all along all of you have other games. Give the guy a break already it's New World for goodness sakes.

#3502 4 months ago

Did anyone know the word haggis typically refers to a Scottish pudding made with the lungs, liver, and heart of sheep? Yuck!

#3503 4 months ago
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:Judge's order approving the sale to TuYo. $4.3m in in-force policies + $27.3m in lapsed policies for $1m purchase price (policy amounts are face values).

I am guessing you wanted to post in the deeproot thread.....my second fav thread after HEP.....

Yep. And its ALOT tastier than you would ever believe.

Quoted from Screwloose:

I'm a fan of a nice Pale Ale myself.

Hell, I'm might as well brew both. In this case, its possible to drink them both before it shows up

#3508 4 months ago

Pale ale is my daily drink. But a wheat was also when i had my taps going.

Get a box of these and aim for it.

WB-06 is a good yeast, ferment warm.

All this beer talk is making want to buy an Oktoberfest now.

I'm more partial to Ayinger Hefe but I'd vote for a wheat beer.

I'm still trying to figure out how damian let you off a season ticket in this nonrefundable preorder pinball world.

We've given him a break over and over for the last 3 deadlines he's missed. #4 is coming in a couple weeks.

Make sure you've played it a bunch before buying. I thought I liked it, but it didn't last a month before I traded it. Just not the game for me.

If you are saying "Yuck" then that's a dead give away that you have never eaten some!

I was sceptical at first, but was amazed just how delicious it is!

Scotch eggs are amazing. I have eaten them a lot in the upper peninsula of Michigan. They were made with sausage so probably a little different than what you had growing up. Not sure what is the traditional way to make them. They for sure seem popular in the UP for some reason.

#3521 4 months ago

Damian save us! Post some fathom production pics or a video update! We're reduced to the pumpkin food network channel while we (im)patiently wait for fathoms! Save us!

GO HAGGIS!

#3522 4 months ago

We had a lot of haggis and scotch eggs at the Highland Games while we were in Scotland. Both are foods of the gods!

#3523 4 months ago

13 more days and it's been a year. Talk about a premature launch?! 4/26/21

GO HAGGIS! BOX SOME FATHOMS!

Post makes more sense now the pic is there, but it doesn't hold a candle to Franzi, especially on tap.

All the Scotch eggs in Britain that I've had were made with regular sausage and egg. I imagine that there are a few variations though.

Also, as off-putting as the name might sound, Blood Sausage really just tastes more or less like notmal sausage anyway. At least to me.

Sorry about redirecting the thread,, but its better than some of the speculation and vitriol. Who doesn't like beer.
Anyway,,
I've found a few good clone recipes for Franziskaner. Most hefe's are about 60/40 wheat/pils mash at 67⁰ hallertau or similar at 60 min, perle 15
Wb-06 ferment warm for more banana/less clove. Boom tasty beer!

I love that this ridiculous convo kicked off because I posted to the wrong thread and edited the errant post to be a dumb joke

Don't worry, i've been doing it since page six or something, there's been dropbears and everything.

That is correct, in the middle towards bannana but not all the way there is my pref and it's temp controlled.

Here's my best.

If you were really after a second beer to brew that will take a bit longer to settle while you drank your young, fresh Wheat Beer then an evil twin black beer clone would make you very comfy at night.

I’ve got about 8 gallons left of a 10 gallon batch of a doppelbock I kegged a couple weeks ago. It’s the first lager I’ve brewed. I’m quite pleased with it, but it was a long time to wait!

#3534 4 months ago

Lager is beer for people who don't like the taste of beer.

That's why ketchup was invented, to fool kids and idiots into eating things they didn't want to.

I usually brew belgian styles, but I’d never brewed a lager before, so I wanted to give it a try. I was going to brew a Belgian golden strong, but then I thought of how hard my temperature control was going to have to work to maintain the ~80°F fermentation in my uninsulated garage in the winter in Colorado. Seemed the perfect time to check the “I’ve brewed a lager” box.

#3536 4 months ago

I love a good lager! some craft beers just go way too hard like the Gose concoctions they are coming up with like this
I hate admitting this but, I really enjoy a shandy on a hot day!

Garden variety Lager can be bland, but Pilsner is Gods beer.

And lager is a very broad category for making generalizations. If someone thinks they like lagers because they don’t want to taste their beer, then they sure won’t like a doppelbock!

yeah, a good pils or an ipl is ok, but downvote? Forgot, not supposed to mention the elephant.

I'm game....never liked beer!! Give me a decent bourbon any day

Lager's are much harder to make - at least equipment wise.

This ain't no piss like a fosters or bud light. Its an awesomely complex creation. A good lager is harder to create than an ale.

Call that a depth charge here. We used to drink them in pints at West Ryde when i was smaller and crankier. Not allowed to serve shit like that here now, not for many years.

Weird, but whatever floats your boat.

Mum always told my little brother 'use your words son'. Guess i'll never understand that shit.

And i am not saying you cannot make or buy good lager, but i will say that very few people outside Europe drink good lager. Noone in Australia does unless they make their own, and you guys in the middle bit of North America make Bud Light for fucks sake. So don't be preaching about good beer.
