Quoted from Ballypinball:

Maybe he can get some driving lessons as he has the fastest Lotus but won no races out of 9, That must tell you something?

But he did not wreck a valuable asset, so some points there for not finishing first.

greatwichjohn That’s awesome people got what they paid for! I apologize.

I don't think the people that were offered overlays instead of a direct printed Sorcerer playfield would agree that they got what they paid for.

For those that do not know, the printer that was used by my first print shop for restorations was a colorspan 9840 uv inkjet printer. It had to be faked out with a cheap paper over the used playfields to print. It was at the end of its life cycle 12 years back. Printer refused to do any more & the printer was costing to much in repairs at the end. So some people were left with overlays. Sorry to the few that at that time the end had come. What is missing is that I did over 20+ playfields for free, direct ink restorations. Lost thousands of dollars on that venture. https://whattheythink.com/news/28140-macdermid-colorspan-unveils-98-inch-industrial-uv/

Next I found another large print shop to do my new backglass & new playfield production for 8 years. They used a Canon OCE Arizona large flatbed printer, here is info on the newer series: https://www.canon.ca/dam/Brochures/PPSG/EN/AZ-Fam-Brch-EN.pdf

Had to sell my business mostly from a few idiots that wanted a darker blue for Star Gazer & Seawitch playfields. Glad my friend bought me out, Fantastic Pinball who is way more talented then I ever will be. Another venture I lost money on, pinball production is hard!

Now back to the Haggis thread. I have always openly disclosed the printers used in my restoration & production work. Others in the business are not so open. Hope some of the printing info is useful for those needing playfields printed to.

If you had to sell a business because of a few playfields, I don't think you should have been in business in the first place (way under capitalized)!!!!

Ain’t that poetic justice… the boomerang is the only thing ANYONE will get back from Haggis.

Only if you miss your target with it.

We should all just take a step back, inhale, exhale, repeat

And ask ourselves

What would Crocodile Dundee do?

Not commonly.
It's mostly "ass", which also means donkey.

Yep, no doubt turned many Aussie kids into durry choofers,
Me included, Glad I shook that shitty habit.

After learning more facts, I am very pissed off about what has gone down.
Truly feel for you guys that got ripped and totally disgusted with the behaviour of Haggis.

Time for a nostalgic un-PC candy pic photo dump from Odin!

I'm sure he can unearth some Klan Kandy or Charlie Chan Choccos or some such nonsense...

Maybe we can reminisce on what they used to call Brazil nuts back in the "good ol days". Perhaps an Australian super genius can fill us in there too.

I haven't listened to it yet, but here is Zack Podcast (from flip n out) uploaded 13 mins ago. The title makes it clear that he will talk about Haggis.

Hopefully not behind a paywall this time

And if it is, there's plenty of us that will talk about it for free. I never understood why I'd have to pay to hear someone talk about stuff 100s of others are talking about.

#10183 26 days ago

One section of the podcast is:

"thinking that [Flip 'n' out] would be open to assisting them find said seed money...... it doesn't seem normal to reach out to your investor network to find investors......"

....Zack also confirmed that he lost $91,000 AUD from Damian

Hundreds of others talking about his unique behind the scenes experience as the only haggis distributor for centaur?

Ooooofff.........
Google says that's $61,000 US.
So much for that escrow account for game payments.
It's been said, but good for Zach refunding his customers even though Damian screwed him.

Glad he's refunding without a fight, but what other choice do you have? Once you take that customers money you're just as much on the hook for it as the fraud company you shilled for

Shill? You might want to check the definition on that… I’d hardly accuse Zach Meny of shilling those games.

His business is that of a distributor… distributors advertise products they sell.

That’s pretty much the end of story, here

Fair enough, "shill" in it's exact definition probably isn't exactly what I'm looking for as I'm not trying to imply they were complicit or swindling anyone

I do remember there being some pretty over the top advertising for Centaur which was certainly questionable at the time giving the state of Fathom builds

But in the end, I've purchased from FnO before and would again. Good businesses don't run from their mistakes, and they did right by the customers

#10197 25 days ago

if anyone gets through this podcast and would post the Cliff Notes, if any. I made it 3 min in and exit out. Just not my forte.

With this "dance" breakdancing was removed from the Olympics but seriously breakdancing was removed from the 2028 games.

Actually it wasn't in the 2028 games well before our country's embarrassment performed....
