Quoted from lachied:

Yep. Potentially this could be converted to a timber only playfield so that people could cut their own?
[quoted image]

Yes the people who actually did the work who got shafted will help the community not fuck the community.

Quoted from gold1:

thought so.Can one devise an actual manual from your files?

so how does one get access?

#9203 49 days ago
Quoted from Ballypinball:

also any NDA can't be enforced by Damien as he no longer owns the assets the creditors do

Won’t they revert to the licensor?

#9204 49 days ago

When is the next episode of Final round on tpn? Or has Marty gone dark with Damien? I wonder if Jeff got his deposit back?

Quoted from lachied:

I can probably help out a reasonable amount.
Most of Fathom was done before I had a contract with Haggis (which I was never paid for) so I've got my own CAD files that may help. Pretty sure he promised the team would all get a Fathom as compensation that the free labour he leeched off so that we could be part of starting the 'dream'

This fiasco just gets worse and worse, the more that it is exposed.

I hope you are able to be compensated for the work you did.

Haggis apologists should be ashamed. Ashamed.

Quoted from Zitt:

Nope. Good guys wouldn't have taken money for games they knew or thought that wouldn't build. It's clear they were taking money from future titles /deposits to pay for existing orders

hard to argue that point but Marty is a friend abd I strongly believe would not be involved knowingly in any kind of scam.

Same promises not delivered by that clown Heighway with loads of people not getting a cent.

No not how it works the licensee is also just a creditor.

I am sure PPS will let me host a site with any files you might have to assist in the repair and service of the games out there. I have been collecting files over the past few days from Several Not to be named Sources.

so you can kill the pig later, correct? most of us know your business and how you lucked out on a license.

I am not knocking it as it did help keep pinball alive.

correct me and others if im wrong ,

No idea what drugs you are taking, I offered $10k for anyone who assists in the recovery of the truck load of assets Damien has taken, how about you do something for pinball, I am not doing it for any money or reward. The more assets recovered the more creditors get money back.

No no sorry, how you had the licenses for Bally Williams, bought cheap and sold some at a great $$
Forget Haggis, I know you helped a lot with this.
It was in the wrong context I think, apologise.
Man people are so touchy these days. I don't take drugs ( well! ) and I do help the community. sort of
I have no problem deleting if you found my sincere question offensive

wonder who will be at the creditors meeting?

Quoted from Ballypinball:

wonder who will be at the creditors meeting?

He's probably subcontracted all of Haggis' development to himself and he'll be the largest creditor

#9215 49 days ago

Might be fun to see these guys chasing it up, the old chasing them down the street scenes lol https://9now.nine.com.au/a-current-affair/tell-us-your-story

Nope sorry. My dealing were different till the end. Maybe I was “ scammed “ just maybe I was told porky pies.
Maybe?

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

Much like the small group of people that worked at Deeproot… you’d have to be blind and willfully ignorant not to recognize that something wasn’t right.

How could you not know?

Massive production issues. Lengthy delays… and then there’s a general unwillingness to talk about game status on your own podcast.

I don’t think Haggis was a straight-up scam. But the way it was operated was very scam like. And if you were one of the few onsite, you would have known there were red flags all over the place.

Something tells me they have been paid though. If not, they will probably be first in line to recover what table scraps are left. Hopefully the authorities can pierce to personal assets...

I previously posted the personal properties security register results for Haggis Pinball. That shows the secured creditors against the company. The time of registration and the level of security taken out indicates who will be "first in line" at liquidation.

Planetary Pinball isn't on that list, so you can verify that they will not be paid first from any proceeds of liquidation

Oof. I feel for those guys.

What are the chances folks will get any of their money back? Next-to-nil?

As Gilligan is the last man standing left to defend Haggis while his thumb up/down ratio is plummeting, I’m wondering where is his mate Punkin. Is he busy chasing down Damian and Marty’s trucks to salvage whatever left to put together his last Fathom they promised?

Punkin has been pretty quiet, I kinda feel bad for him. As one of the 4 big cheerleaders, I think he's the only one who didn't get a game. Some of the other cheer squad might have been out a centaur deposit but the other 3 at least got their fathoms. Punkin was so sure of Haggis that he requested to have his game saved for last. He also made it clear that the money he had invested into the game was fairly significant for him so a failure to get a game would be a hard financial blow.

I don't particularly get enjoyment from that. I don't like seeing anyone lose money even if it's somebody who acted the way he did. I just wish he would have listened and been more cautious instead of taking the cavalier attitude he did.

#9234 48 days ago

As much money as they took in....... I'd like to know if the money was diverted to his real estate venture.
That'd be a whole new level of criminal activity in this situation.
I wonder if anyone is looking into that.

Gilligan's appeals to "take it to PM" can go pound sand.

You set people on fire in public buddy, sauce for the goose.

I think a lot of people DID know....it's just that they got shouted down by the likes of punkin, et al. He was an abrasive character at best, but what bothered me most about him was his hollow cheerleading for Haggis. I don't feel sorry for him in the least.

Quoted from frankmac:It was a company that was built on a dream.
A dream without the proper capital to make it succeed.
I purchased a Fathom day one and it was a shit show of false promises, lies and horrible communications. Then a shitty QC game!
Never will I do a preorder on anything again.
No preorders with Manufacturers.
No preorders with distros.
No payments until I can put my hands on it or I have complete confidence/proof it is ready to ship.
I can wait for my pins.

And you've been around awhile, just goes to show us the power of <dream> theme, or code, or whatever..

Back in episode 304 of pinball profile podcast, Damian was touting production capabilities of 50 games per month at the same time that he was going out for deposits for Fathom.

Back in the Cary Hardy video (12 months ago), Damian said that he had completed "well and truly over half of the Fathom run" at the time that he was asking for Centaur preorders. What we know now is that only 150 of the 250 fathoms total were ever made, as at July 2024.

It comes down to personal opinion if you think that Damian was either a "naively optimistic startup", or was "deliberately misleading potential customers to secure cashflow".

They need to set it so that blocking someone deletes any PMs that have been sent. The classic hate mail + block is pathetic.

Punkin was occasionally reasonable; I think he is what he seems to be, a slightly abrasive guy very proud of an Australian company making pinball machines.

That the company in question turned out to be no good in the end is unfortunate.
