Does anybody know a reliable way to get ahold of Haggis? I paid for my game in full back in February and haven’t asked for an update until a couple weeks ago. My emails have all gone unanswered. The web form on their site is also not working.

I emailed Damian a few weeks ago enquiring about Centaur and was answered a couple days later. Other than that i can't help.

That's super annoying. Keep emailing sales @ and damian @ their domain until you get an answer. They are only making their email backlog worse by not responding.

I emailed Damien, Angela, sales, and accounts. Those are the 4 emails I had gotten initial emails from. I have followed up every few days for a couple weeks now. All of my emails are cordial, so I am just left confused.
Quoted from Cobray:Seems odd.. one guy offering a game for what appears to be a killer price (why?), and a guy 41 miles away with a wanted to buy. Market manipulation? [quoted image]
The difference in distance from you is 41 miles, but Redondo Beach, CA is 900 miles from Eugene, OR.

LMAO. Got it. Still a cheap price.
It took me 3 mails this last time to Damian to get an update on my order. I paid in full 2/19/23 and my game has not shipped. He estimated end of September in his response.
What is the logic or reason given for requiring customers to pay in full 6+ months before the games are ready to ship?

Had my Fathom for about a week. Had some questions, emailed Damian, got a response within three to four days. No complaints.

I’d guess that he needs the money to keep the business afloat.
They have always responded to me within 48 hrs, I'd check your spam folder, I notice lots of legitimate mail gets put there these days.
Curious, as of this post right now, has anyone been shafted, ripped off, lost money or anything that resembles a financial loss?
So the crunch is that your machine maybe late or awaiting freight container to specified destination.
Quite a few manufacturers are running behind still, the only real one going full steam is Stern and so they should. $$$
Do you believe you will never see your machine even after Haggis last video?
Apart from apparently not answering emails, phone calls etc. ( which I don't believe in mine or others interactions ) been
affected with any long lasting emotions, heartache, stress or feelings of loss?
Welcome to the luxury toy world of pinball, especially boutique manufacturing.
just put a little perspective on the thread.
I hope i won't eat my words, but never bag out an Aussie.
Go Haggis

Look, I'm not saying Haggis is out to rip anyone off. Full stop. All we are saying is we've seen similar things play out in the past. Telling people to just completely ignore the multitude of red flags is just...reckless. If you're comfortable with it, then more power to you, but people raising these issues should not be shouted down as we've seen happen in the past.
Nobody was ripped off on predator, until they were. Nobody was ripped off on zidware games, until they were. Nobody was ripped off on Deeproot games, until they were. And thats just manufacturers, theres plenty of other examples outside of manufacturers in the hobby as well.
I haven't even been asked to pay in full for my Fathom yet. So based on the 6-month rule that seems to be in place, they won't be finishing up making them until at least March now. Who knows when the centaurs will start..

There is no excuse for poor communication. If there is nothing shady going on then why not just talk to your customers and explain what's going on? This whole "pay us in full and we'll deliver your order at some unknown point in the future" would be unacceptable in any other business so why is it acceptable here?

It was not that long ago, Haggis released a video on YouTube explaining all this and more than was necessary . Did you not see it?
Covered all reasonable questions and gave an insight to small manufacturing during a weird time under a very dictatorship style government

Reads like another apology on behalf of haggis. pathetic!
Quoted from chalkup8:Reads like another apology on behalf of haggis. pathetic!
Mate, I don’t make apologise for anyone elses issues except my own.
This is fact, are you a mate of Mikes? He too is bitter that others are doing what he stated “couldn’t be done in Aus”
I was just pointing out for those don’t know SHIT HAPPENS .
Great to see more games going out.

I've never had a problem with communication with Haggis. They have always been responsive and very fair with me. This has been my experience, my 2 cents anyway.

Yeah I saw it, just like I saw the videos from deeproot saying all is well and theres nothing to see here.
"everything is all good here mate, now send me some money for this centaur!"

WTF has deeproot got to do with Haggis? Haggis has made and (mostly) shipped two GREAT games already, never made the ridiculous, scummy promises deeproot did, never funded themselves by defrauding retirees. Sure they are small and slow, so what... you are just insulting them for no reason when they could actually use some help to survive.
Your "concerns" have been duly noted, but I think most people here are perfectly capable of making their own decisions when it comes to their support and who they choose to trust with their money.
Quoted from Gotfrogs:Looks like just 5 or six games to me.
Do you guys ever stop on this forum? Turns every bit of positive into an immediate negative. It's no wonder Damian/Haggis stopped being transparent with frequent updates to their production and business developments. I'm sure every time they said something intending good will and positive direction someone in the community would tear it apart as a direct negative instead.

Go Haggis
Let's break this down here.. and for the record, I'm for Haggis, but lets be real...
Original buyers were told they would NOT pay for the total machine price until it was ready to ship... now, they are required to put what, $8,000 cash up front for 6-9 months or they don't get the game. Those buyers are out a lot of cash that they could have invested at 6% in a cash bond or put towards a credit card bill (or any other bill) that may have higher interest (credit cards are between what, 18%-29% interest). Not everyone is rich and some do have credit card bills out there. Not everyone is cash heavy! Just because they love this hobby and wanted a game and committed to a game doesn't mean it's "too bad for them" for committing to buy.. they expected the game to be here years ago (WHEN THE MARKET WAS HOT BTW) and now they are getting a game delivered during a huge lull in the market. Sure seems like those original buyers from 2 years ago have a reason for being unhappy to me.
Maybe this was not thought through, but I don't think original buyers knew they would have to pay $1800-$2000 to have their game shipped via air because filling a container would be near impossible in a reasonable time... so on top of everything else, they are shelling out a significant amount more than they thought they would.
Plus, Haggis then offered the LE features, something that was to be only offered to those that payed up years ago for the Mermaid, to anyone else that wanted it. Say what you will, but that was BS and in my eyes, it unfairly effected those that has been waiting years for their LE!
Your post seems to overlook the reality/other side of things to me.
I'm curious as to who is buying a $12,000 (delivered) Centaur after all this?
Quoted from Gotfrogs:Looks like just 5 or six games to me.
I think I see 3 rows of 3. Any games going out gives me hope for receiving my game.
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:I'm curious as to who is buying a $12,000 (delivered) Centaur after all this?
Me.
Congrats... I think..
Of course there's a few, always will be. . But the excitement and demand is out of the pinball market and this is even worse than buying a $13K Venom LE.
Hopefully you get your game.
God, there's some horrible people in the world.
Tear anyone down, just in the hope they get to say they were right.
Friend,
I have a Venom LE on order as well! And 23 other machines in my collection! You have quite the opinion! Guess there's always one. Namaste.

Firstly, use facts and not what some bitter people wrote in an online thread.
The delays are real, the people who have waited longer didn't quite get the container full promise to the distributor( I also agree it was way too long. ) I waited 8 weeks by the way in Australia.
As per Haggis doing another limited upgrade with the new fantastic code, you say its poor form by them.
BUT,
If Stern or others manufacturers produce , vault editions, different versions, remakes, anniversary editions etc; etc;
Its OK by you and the masses?
It sounds like im a fan boy, well yes, but apart from that i am always careful with money especially in
overpriced toys.
Keep flipping and smiling, the world isn't out to get us
Quoted from punkin:God, there's some horrible people in the world.

Seam the one guy talking smack has a weak collection and probably can't afford Mermaid.
Why even engage?

Yeah-yeah, some folks inherit star-spangled eyes
Hoo, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask 'em, "How much should we give?"
Hoo, they only answer, "More, more, more, more"

I ain't no military son, son, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, one

You're not wrong, but much like "sweet home alabama", I would not be sad if I never heard it ever again. I've heard it enough for about 5 lifetimes by now.
Quoted from punkin:Weak collection.

Well i guess that means i don't have the latest Sterns.
If your collection is weak, many of ours are on life support. That was a head scratcher.
He may have been addressing pinball wiz, but it's childish all the same.
How can you live for decades and still think life is judged by how much money you have rather than the good you create in the world?

Money is definable, creating good is arguable, depending on your definition of good.
Quoted from Roostking:Money is definable, creating good is arguable, depending on your definition of good.
Money is a fictional, meaningless creation.
How can it be definable as a measure of success? It's an imaginary number.
If a pirate or a cartel member makes millions of dollars practising slavery then they are a success?
Just noticed this update on Youtube. If this has already been shared, apologies on the repeat. But I didn't see it in this thread.

In their world, yes.
Also, dont you have money, or are you 100% on a barter basis? Money is not fiction, its real.

I have money, it's just numbers on a computer screen mostly. At best it's shiny rocks and pieces of paper.
My reality is different from yours and i am very grateful it is.

So, not on a barter basis. You use money. At least we cleared that up!
Quoted from Roostking:So, not on a barter basis. You use money. At least we cleared that up!
I don't know what's been cleared up for you.
I never claimed i don't use money. I have a shop.
I said that a person's wealth is not a measure of their success in the world.
But you fix on whatever words you want. Your views are not of value to me either.
In other news, i got my invoice today.
