Watch these guys win some kind of jackpot.

    #2 4 years ago

    That is awesome !!!

    #3 4 years ago

Confusing, but entertaining and awesome. I'd play that

    #4 4 years ago

Wow, that was crazy. Those Japanese are a zany bunch~

    #5 4 years ago

The commentary makes it, that was hilarious.

    #6 4 years ago

I need to see this with sound.. crap!

    #7 4 years ago

That was cool, I like how the thing opens up at the end and it starts to rain coins.

    #8 4 years ago

Is that a Pro or LE?

    Quoted from PW79:

Thats the Le, the pro would have a single ball and an alpha numeric display.

    Where can I buy one!!!???!!!??
    I....MUST....HAVE....NOW

    #11 4 years ago

Why can't japan be into pinball? Whoever made this thing pulled out all the stops and made the craziest thing he could think of. I don't know what the replay value is on something like this but anyone that has hit the jackpot on that thing I promise will be telling stories about it for years. Pinball needs some "holyshit did that really just happen" moments.

    #12 4 years ago

Lol, had a few pachicos but this is much better. Really funny.

    #13 4 years ago

That's what happens when you tell the designer that money is of no object. I'm thinking JJP #3 might be on par with this. Ya right, I'll keep dreaming though.

    #14 4 years ago

Sadly, all those coins are arcade coins and can't even be exchanged for prizes, let alone money. But I guess they can play games at that arcade for free for the rest of their life!

My understanding is in Japan there would be a store next door to the arcade that would buy those coins for cash and that's how they get around gambling in Japan.

    #16 4 years ago

I've heard the exact same thing

Definitely the way it works with Pachinko balls which is really big, just Google pachinko parlors. Not sure if it is the same for the arcade tokens.

    #18 4 years ago

Wow, imagine if Vegas had gambling machines like that.

    #19 4 years ago

    Amazing!!! Made my day!!!

    #20 4 years ago

    Crazy. Fun!

    #21 4 years ago

I wonder what the actual cash value of the prize was. 20 minutes of coins spitting out is a lot of coins!

    #22 4 years ago

The best Japanese arcade game is Boon-Ga-Boon-Ga, where you jam your finger into the anus of a pedophile.

not at that particular arcade, at least according to people who have been to it in the comments section. *shrug*

Why would anyone even play there? For guys that really weren't getting anything out of it they sounded awfully excited.

    Technically, it's Korean..

"The game features eight characters players can punish: "Ex-Girlfriend", "Ex-boyfriend", "gangster", "Mother In Law", "Gold-digger", "Child Prostitute", "child molester" and "Con-artist". During gameplay, the facial expression of the chosen character is displayed on a monitor."

Who would punish a Child Prostitute? Aren't they already victims?

You're asking a white nerd if he understands asian culture, especially a crazy esoteric part of it?

No sir, I have no clue.

FWIW, that was pulled from Wikipedia, so maybe that part is a mistranslation and it's supposed to mean the "pimp" and it's just lost in translation. Who knows.. my wife has some relatives from South Korea.. I supposed if I can find the original flyer I could PROBABLY find out for sure, but are you that interested lol...

Yeah see that flyer just says "prostitute". Someone that edited that article on Wikipedia is an idiot.

    #33 4 years ago

What type of game is this, does it have a name?

Slot machine coin pusher rolling ball redemption?

    #34 4 years ago

    The guys name is Maxmofoe.
He does a prankcall show on YouTube.

    Boon-ga-boon-ga

Does anyone know if there is a minimum allowable age in Japan to go into the Pachinko halls or arcade/casinos like the one on the top video? We are considering a trip next year, have a few Pachinko machines and would love to play some in the wild.

    #38 4 years ago

I think there is one more step involved with "cashing in" the coins. As I recall my buddy who lived in Japan a while said you would trade in your balls or coins for an odd, but distinctive toy like item. The kind you might pay a few dollars for if you liked brightly colored plastic crap.

This item is taken into another store, normally next door where they will buy this brightly colored piece of crap for real money. The idea is to get around gambling laws, but it is so obvious that it seems dumb they bother to abolish the gambling laws.

    #39 4 years ago

So does anyone have a link on where we can buy a Japanese Slot Machine like the one in the video?

A good engineer can put together something complicated. A great engineer can make something only as complicated as it needs to be and keep it under budget. Give a group of graduate engineering students 2k to build a game and I bet you would be surprised what they can put together.

Your best bet is probably Yahoo Auctions Japan which is the eBay of Japan. But not sure how you'd ship something that big to the US unless money was no object. You can buy regular Japanese slots on eBay for a couple hundred $'s. Just search for slots or Pachislo or Skill Slot.

I believe the answer is 18 for pachinko parlours, but I'll check on my way home (I walk past one on my commute). For arcades, including ones with shit-tons of claw machines (it's a thing here) and stuff like this I believe that there's no age limit. There are No Casinos in Japan.

    Quoted from Aladdin:

You really want to get used stuff out of Japan--it tends to be super cheap for various reasons. I know there's a grey-market distributor for the stuff in Australia, but I'm not sure how you'd get one to the US.

    Quoted from mg81:

I believe the answer is politically complicated. Like many laws, there are those that would prefer they don't change, and often those people have money and or power and may be able to stir up others to complain about the immorality of things changing.

    #44 4 years ago

that game was awesome. that will be the next step for casinos around here. I'd play that damn thing. was like having every game on the prices is right combined into one machine.

    #45 4 years ago

What a cool game. There's got to be someone here in the U.S. that could bring the game over cheaply.

    #46 4 years ago

Maybe one will be on display, or similar at IAPPA.
When I go to Vegas, I hunt out unusual slots, and from Japan, I have seen some of the strangest, turning, spinning, and playing games. Usually, when I find them there are 4-6 tucked away, like by the bathrooms at NY NY.
I watch for a while to see how it works. As if just games are strange to us from the east,
here is the hot video from China....go figure.....

Another one, they sure make coin pushers more interesting.

It was too fatiguing to watch the whole thing, but you get 666 and then a 20 minute money shot????

    Crazy fun!
