I think this is the easiest solution to reduce the amount of wood chopping during modes,……hurry up combos during modes spot additional shots….. I’d rather have perks or gadgets but this seems like the simplest route to take and I’d imagine the easiest to code in comparatively.

While it's true that no Bond script featured a transgender character, the Roger Moore era did include a transgender actress.

6th attempt at downloading in progress. Really 8gb of which probably 7.7gb are already installed assets blows as a way of updating machines.

Lots of little - and not so little - annoying quirks with this game. Kinda nuts considering how fun and addicting it still is. I’m not prone to hyperbole, but if the game just made more sense, was a little less wood choppy, and had more Bond Giris (!!), it really could be a GOAT contender. But not with these drawbacks. Sorry, not sorry.

Yes, Tilt Graphics makes some. I didn't think they would look right in my game, so I went with a different style. But they're well done, easy on the eyes, and TG makes a quality product.

Looking for some advice on Why Bond on a Wand stopped working? Motor works in test, but Bond is moving all the way left and hits the . Motor runs, wand moves, but does absolutely nothing in gameplay. I also tested the magnet in test and it works. Can someone explain where the opto’s are that is seeing the wand location? I also have this hanging in the back of the game.(last pic) Where is it supposed to be ? I knew this Wand was going to be a pain, unbelievable how basic stuff doesn’t work properly!!How long has Stern been making pinball machines? Exactly.

I reset my router and that seemed to do the trick. Not sure if that was the issue but 0.96 downloaded perfectly after.

Agree on the Tilt Bond Girl art blades. Plus the art style doesn’t fit. Need the 60’s aesthetic.

And my machine had no problem downloading over Wi-Fi. Did so automatically. .96 was already waiting for me when I realized it existed. Got lucky it sounds like.

I don't even bother trying to do it via wifi, no need at all when the USB route works every fkn time!!! And it's not like it's difficult, only have to remove the translite and put it back in when you're done. Don't get why people seem to think that's a massive inconvenience

After taking off the backglass every time, I finally plugged a USB extension cable (similar to below) into the board and out the topper hole on top of the game so I no longer have to open it up to do the code update.

Did they reduce scoring on Bond, James Bond mini wizard mode with the latest code update? Just installed the code update last night and played that mode this morning. Actually feels like I made more shots than I usually do on it. But scoreed only about 90 million, old code I used to consistently get 150 to 200 million making what feels like less shots than I did today.

It would make sense because it also seems to have reset my high score for that mode, whereas the other high scores didn't reset.

Seems to reset BJB high score every code update.

I haven't noticed a change in scoring, but my scoring in the mode is all over the place depending upon how many multipliers I have going.

that IS over wifi to a usb, tried both ways. Probably if they had a mirror in europe that might be a help.

And probably waiting for the final 1.0x code before doing anything on a large scale. Each code update requires some re-work. I might look at those static video screens for the Bond girl multipliers and see if anything can be done with those. Video clips seem to be easier to swap in after code updates than the music/callouts since they are stored as individual files.

It has the depth.

It has the assets.

It lacks cohesion and in a way it needs soul.

As has been said 100 times by a 1000 people - beating modes or doing well in modes has to affect game progress somehow someway. Without that itll always be a timeout fest. We know a perk for completing a spectre weapon is coming but what about the other 18 modes. Is there a way to interconnect modes from the same film? How will the combos be integrated? How will the skill shots be integrated if at all?

It has been so much fun following the code progress on this one. I remember when Red Grant required 6 orbits - on the same ball! I would play and play just trying to see that mode.

I totally agree. Thinking on it, one way they could do it is if you complete a mode it either increases the value of the shots for other modes from the same movie and/or decreases the number of shots needed to complete the mode. If fact it could be both, starting the mode increases future shots, completing means less shots. For DaF, it's be nice if completing a mode got us closer to Q's Ring a little faster.

That PC board mounts at the pivot point for the Bond on a Wand, you'll likely find two loose screws in the cabinet below it, that should fix the problem.

They’ve got to do something because Bond is not doing well out there. People just aren’t playing it on location right now. For the average player it’s just not enticing. There is no cohesiveness to the movie modes.

I’m sure they will fix most of the problems in the next iterations but my biggest fear for Bond looks like is being realized. Chopping wood is never fun for anyone.

100%. The pitchforks were out for the programmer (Lonnie) on this title. But the long hours and programming grunt work is done (modes, assets, light shows, etc).

We’re squarely in game design territory (cohesion, soul, purpose). The coding is done, time for MikeV to make a game out of Lonnie’s hard work.

At the start of jetpack how far over is bond supposed to go? Mine seems to hit the edge of the bird one wireform and kind of twitch back and forth. Is that the expectation?

Mine doesn't come anywhere near the wireform. If memory serves me, the farthest left he goes is over the center "lock" shot.

Issue with the post behind bond on a wand. Incredibly ive never had a post fly out of one of my games before. This one has now started to do that. I stuck it back in the post hole but it comes out again. Do i have to screw it into the coil or something?

Ive pressed firm on the post to get it in the coil sleeve well. But when doing coil test every 20 or so coil tests the post comes out and i need to force it back in.

Thoughts?

It is supposed to hover roughly over the center loop. I initially thought it should have hovered over the tank but I got confirmation that this was not the case. If yours is too far over, you can try rubbing the calibration in the game service menu

That up-post is supposed to be firmly attached to the coil plunger. (I don't know how exactly it's affixed, as I hadn't pulled the plunger fully from the coil, but the post definitely should NOT be falling out.) Check out my jetpack alignment mod video to see how to remove the assembly under the playfield -- linked here to start at the right time:

You'll see in the video the post is firmly attached to the plunger and should not be loose. Therefore either your post itself is broken, or it's detached from the plunger. Remove the assembly from the playfield and see which scenario you have. If the post itself doesn't appear to be broken, then you may have to disassemble things a little further to remove the coil and figure out how it's (supposed to be) attached to the plunger.

Maybe they’ll add an easy to acquire gadget that spots a shot whenever you need it. Where you could keep building up your supply to have more than one on hand like Deadpool’s Boom.
