Does anyone know if this game has a 12 volt power connector? I don't see one in the normal spot that modern Sterns have. Pretty sure my viper night driving has a connector near the power box like the Sterns do.
Factory tank just looks very cheap and bland . Also I used to be a tanker and the stock model looked more like a T-34 than the T-55 that was used in the movie.
Found an exact replica from the movie. It was a James Bond collection item and it appears to be pretty rare. Found it in Germany .Slightly wider but I like it better than stock.
Quoted from brenna98:I can commission to have this board remade. I am aware of the mods for both twister and goldeneye service bulletins.
If there are any other improvements to make this board "better", please post it here.
Also, if someone already has this project in the works, please let me know. I don't want to duplicate efforts.
I would also commit to buying a board if you were to start an interest list. Thanks for your efforts. This is needed.

Q: does magnet between flippers supposed to be on all the time ? I expect not but it does
Any tips ?
Q: Plug to my GI was done horrible , I redid it and now all GI is on but all went out during game play and won’t come back on
Anything to do with the magnet being on all the time ? Overloaded something ?
Thanks for any helpful feedback
Hello. You are correct that magnet between flippers should not be on all the time. Should be in the manual showing when magnet should activate. I also had to redo my G.I connector as was burnt up bad. Not sure if your problem has anything magnet all the time. G.I. Fuse good?
Quoted from cklweb:Hi Guys
Just purchased Goldeneye but notice that when I go to shoot Bond at the very beginning, all that happens is I launch the ball and the display changes to the usual background stuff. Can't shoot Bond at all. Any ideas?
Guy who sold this tome said this was a Easter Egg . You have to let him walk across the DMD screen before you shoot. If I shoot him to early it just launches the ball.
Quoted from Rondogg:Maybe an earlier version of the Software?
I was thinking that also. What version are you running CKLWEB ? I'm running A4.0. ...
Quoted from cklweb:Switch it on and receive the following:
Display Version A.100
Location ID: 0.0
Game ID: 0.0
USA CPU 1.01
CHEKSUM $22FF
A1.0 definatlely early Rom. Not sure where can buy the A4 rom. Somebody on pinside will know where you can get it. Good luck.
Quoted from cklweb:I have the new Game ROM V4.04, but unsure where I install. I can see the Display ROM Version A.100 in the board, but not Game ROM slot - is it the same thing? No...
Big newbie here so apologies for not knowing which is what.
Do I replace existing V A.100 display ROM with new 4.04 Game ROM? Or ..
Sorry I'm not sure of where to install. Just knew it was early. I'm surprised no one has responded with the answer.
Quoted from cklweb:Thanks for the message. I'm surprised too. Well, patience it is then.
FWIW, I tried replacing the existing display rom with the new game rom, but that did not work. Lost the screen completely. I'm not game to play with the board anymore.
Maybe start a new thread asking the question for Sega machines.Might have better chance of response. Also I think there is a Sega club that you might be able to post in. Is your screen still out?
Quoted from PappyBoyington:I made my own target stickers. I didn't like what was available so I made my own.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Those are a great improvement from stock. Nice job. Would you be willing to make me a set?
Anyone ever change the satellite magnet core ? Seems like it would be a PITA. I have Used a electric impact on Metallica but no room for that on back of satellite... any advice?
Quoted from Pinball_Nate:I changed it, wasn't that hard - entire back assembly comes out. Don't recall any problems.
Ok thanks. My magnet is pretty neat up. Used electric impact on Metallica. Going to use same tool.
Quoted from J85M:Is that a chrome or just a cleared finish? I was thinking black but maybe a satin finish so nothing shiny, I was also thinking about having some custom rails made with the gun barrel cut around the flipper button.
Just black shiny powdercoated.
Quoted from J85M:Same models I’ve brought for my restore the factory helicopter and tank are terrible.
I also got the db5 and Ferrari from the same serious as the tank for the ramps.
Anyone interested in custom pop caps? Was thinking either Goldeneye silhouettes like the stickers on the factory caps or classic bond gun barrel silhouettes..?
I’d be in for pop caps.
I see someone post an Apache helicopter to replace the stock one. I found the exact model that Was used in the movie. It does have German markings though.
Also found exact tank “343“. That was used in the movie.

I also had the tank shown in earlier post but didnt get around to mounting it before I sold the game. If you mount it flush to the ramp like the original it would need some surgery underneath. The bottom if the tank needs to be hollowed out a bit for the ball to fit under it.

Didn’t think of putting the light in there. Nice
Quoted from docquest:It's a game controlled light on the original so you should include it. It comes on and off depending on what's going on in the game.
I have it mounted at the bottom front. Inside would be much better so I’ll look in to converting.
Quoted from BioBa:Added a scale Euro-copter in black with blue cockpit leds and red gun leds. Replaced that sad looking toy tank with a real T55. Added a spot light to highlight the new tank.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I also upgraded the chopper and tank.
How did you do the leds on the chopper ?
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgQuoted from DrGonzo:How did you get that T55 mounted on the ramp? I got the same tank from Amazon, but there's not enough room for the ball to pass through? I would appreciate a picture from underneath if you hade the time to share one!
Also, I'm still looking for a center ramp in decent quality if anyone has one to sell/trade for parts.
Hello. I took material off the bottom of tank so the ball could pass through….
It’s underneath so you never see it.

Think I used a dremel tool or a file.
Quoted from J85M:I have never known Goldeneye to have anything at the end of either ramp.
If your game is fairly steep you will get bounce back off a metal wireform as the balls picking up speed on the way back, you can add a washer or two at the slingshot mount sometimes that is just enough to slow the return and drop the ball through, worked on my AIQ and Goldeneye.
Thanks. I’ll give it a try.

Well I experimented with washers but no luck.
Solution was to spread open the outer round portion of the habitrail where the ball would hit. During brass plating is most of got bent closed in.
The wider opening enables the ball to fall instead of bounce against the round portion of the habitrail.
Looking at the left one helped me figure it out.

Quoted from Mrsiyufy:I made it.
Working on a topper for the new Stern bond game and that’s one of the components I made for it.

Looks good . Please post a pic of the new topper when it’s
Quoted from Boat:Hey all, Just a heads up I will be doing a new version to my Goldeneye pinsound mix, up to version 1.5. I have a bunch of new remastered pierce brosnan sound bites and some SFX as well.
I think it will take me another 2-3 weeks. I don't have my game right now so is there anyone willing to test? I would send you my most up to date pinsound file as a zip/attachment.
Wish I would have got that pin sound board and
Quoted from NunoDirector:Hi my friends! I recently installed a PinSound Plus to my Goldeneye, and as soon as I turn it on I can hear the PinSound jingle and then silence, nothing comes afterwards. I downloaded Boat Mix, put in on the USB Driver that came with my PinSound purchase, plugged on the PinSound Plus board again, turned it on and the same result, nothing. So I don't know what could be wrong about it or what I'm missing. If someone could help me I would be very grateful. Thanks for your time and help everybody! Nuno
