I am gonna hold out until the Super Super Limited Edition is announced.

Quoted from TreyBo69:It’s a totally different game. You seem to be mistaken.
So if I understand correctly, this game has nothing to do with the current James Bond machines being produced at the moment? Completely different playfield? Two different Bond games run back to back? Let's pit Gomez vs. Elwin and see who is better? I do not understand. Why doesn't Stern have Elwin create a new and different theme? This is confusing.
OK. I am interested to see what the playfield design will look like. Is Keith E. not designing a Bond Pro and Premium also....since this is a different Bond machine? (and probably will be superior)
This whole Elwin SLE thing is beyond weird. Gomez is Keith's boss right? (at least that is what I gather watching the making of Iron Maiden on the Stern website).
I was listening to a podcast the other evening and am a bit confused on this SLE pricing. So, it was originally $19,999 plus tax. But now Stern has taken away the price and it is solely up to distributors to set a price? Five years ago the Batman 66 has its pricey special edition but it seems to me that the customer got a lot more bang for the buck with that edition.
Quoted from 27dnast:If you want one, call a dealer and ask what they want for it.
I think it is worth maybe the price of a pro and that is a strong maybe. And that is simply because the Pro looks a lot more fun and is a better looking machine.
Quoted from MK6PIN:Call around....when you find one, offer that....let everyone know how it worked out....
Unbelievable this stuff still gets posted...
I also found a rock in my back yard. There is no other rock like it in the world. I am selling it for $19,999 plus tax. Get it now because it is unique and very limited: 001 of 001.
Quoted from SLAMT1LT:Easy to do, just google the images and stick 'em together in PS.
So, you work at Stern?
Quoted from KingVidiot:holy shit, you people are STILL crying about this game?
still just gettin' started....
Quoted from MK6PIN:I'd keep the rock and put it with your others....no sense selling it so cheap.....
Good point. Hit me up down the road if you want ever want to trade if/when you get the SLE.
Quoted from Beechwood:Rock collecting has become a rich man's hobby. I used to buy rocks for $500.
no comment
Seriously though (before I get a thousand downvotes). Get well. Appreciate the banter. In the end we all love pinball..
Quoted from Roostking:After 108 pages, people still think they have something funny or insightful to add.
Last week called. Any jokes about pricing, the layout, assets or lack thereof have been thoroughly dissected and discussed. Some were even funny, around page 10 most likely.
Jawohl
Quoted from MK6PIN:You'll be well on your way, lol.......
No joke...had freakin strep AND RSV variant just after Christmas, now this again....feeling like shit!!!
ha! true. Ya, man get well. (I better get off of here before my inbox fills up with hate mail).
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Do you know how fucking cheap squid is?! Probably cheaper than pig anus.
I do find myself pondering this very question from time to time.
Quoted from Beechwood:There are no movie clips.
Maybe Stern is shooting for the "less is more" type of theme??
Quoted from screaminr:I've said it before but I'll say it again , Kelly's Heroes would make a great pin .
no no, once is quite enough, lol.
Quoted from JohnTTwo:My last day of work is tomorrow do I buy tge Bond SLE or Scooby?
I have Halloween already, so one spooky in the line up.
Why only stop halfway??? Get a Bond 60th and a Supreme!
Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:A stream of gameplay would be a foolish gamble
Agreed. I use the same logic when buying a new car. Never quite understood why folks do a test drive or research car model specifics.
In all seriousness, perhaps there will be no gameplay streaming because there simply is not alot to show? Granted the game has that "shiny beads" appeal to a portion of the pinball population, but perhaps there just isn't much depth? I watched the latest Scooby gameplay video and honestly that needed to be longer because the game seems to be quite deep.
Quoted from SonOfaDiddly:in all seriousness, it's because exclusivity has a monetary value in marketing
Tough to swallow from a company that cannot distinguish differences between terms like exclusive and inclusive.
Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:Perhaps because the scope of the code will be SS-era simple.
Perhaps because they realized sending out games with minimal code does not necessarily generate a positive buzz.
Quoted from BC_Gambit:Why do you need to generate positive buzz for a "super limited" product that is in theory already sold out?
Ya, fair point. I guess the words "super limited" is all you need these days.
Are prices dropping on this yet? What's the lowest somebody has seen? Was told there was one for sale for $15,500.... but cant find the listing.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:Around the last week of February is the estimate.
Thanks man for the info. Busy month in Illinois....Stern SLE's making their debut and more Godzilla Premiums hitting the streets.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:Hatred involves jealousy and envy so no way can haters ever give an objective opinion.
I hate olives.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:It may take a few titles to flop due to price before they do anything
Sweet....then I am really hoping Venom and Foo Fighters are the next two releases...
Quoted from hank527:and Jaws in no real order.
I would imagine that after this Bond SLE that the Stern management will probably task Elwin to do Jaws....seems like a no-brainer.
Quoted from MK6PIN:Thats 11 right there...the masses were wrong!
Then there should be 489 more James Bond SLE raffles!
Well hopefully we will not have to worry too much longer about the "no video" drama because folks will be getting the game really soon.
Quoted from mstang01:Aww… I liked Moby’s “Play” album, of course it was mostly/all remakes and like 25 years ago
OK.... makes sense now. I thought this was some new song. I was like, "man that little bald dude has not aged at all!"
Quoted from Beechwood:Stern. Release a damn gameplay video... for the love of god.
We are debating the career of Moby and forcing ChatGPT to write shit that it don't want to write!
It seems like anything "Bond"...SLE, Pro, etc. has been absolute kryptonite to the pin community. Amazing that a lack of decent code updates and a $20,000 game has turned pinside into a real life Lord of the Flies.
Quoted from ReadyPO:Strike a balance between my desire and my true needs, and find contentment in the present moment while remaining open to the possibility of growth and transformation."
Almost sounds like Rush lyrics...
Quoted from Thunderbird:With all the great machines debuting this month, why would anyone buy a gigantically overpriced pin like 60th? Can already see by teaser that FF will blow it away.
I am sure that the folks who get the Bond SLE will also get the Foo Fighters LE or Premium. For some collectors in this hobby, money is a non-issue. Have you checked out the game room thread??? For Christs sake man...there is even a thread asking about advice of whether to go for a new Vette or a Porsche 911.
Quoted from kklank:This is truly a “players game” designed by one of the hardcore players himself.
At the moment, Elwin could take a dump in a shoebox, package it up and sell it for 5 grand.
Quoted from JustEverett:It’s and insult to Keith to say he would do that. He’s clearly passionate about every project he works on.
I am afraid you missed the point. What I wrote is actually a compliment to Mr. Elwin.
Quoted from MK6PIN:Not me....I pass on many...no Foo here...not for $3k
You have an amazing collection! Damn. Do you not like band themed pins or is Foo Fighters simply not your cup of tea. Personally, I am quite indifferent to the band. I don't dislike them but don't seek them out in itunes.
Quoted from TheShadowsNose:GZ is too much of a (cup?)cakewalk.
Then I must be doing something wrong...
Quoted from kklank:The gameplay and layout is simply spectacular.
Pumped to hear the pos feedback.
Quoted from Minnpin65:There is something about basic pinball that is soothing.
I agree. There is too much fancy-pants stuff in pinball machines these days. Personally, I prefer just getting a flat board, some rubber bands and roll the ball around on that.
