Can’t imagine anyone buying the single level 60th over the main stream release.
How will the gameplay compete?
I reckon buyers will be peeps with enough cash to have both.
Others will be venues who want it as a doorstop … sorry show piece.
I wonder how many potential buyers are holding back on the GG version.
Until they see this 4th pin…
I’m one of them and for my sins missed out on LE.
Quoted from gdonovan:Without getting too off track and setting aside labor what would be the largest expense? Cabinet has to be the largest, have you seen the cost of quality wood?
They make pin cabs from grade 1 walnut?
I had a chance to buy a BM66 SLE but ended up going for a later run signed premium after the code was remastered.
Think there were peeps also complaining about the early run cabinet/leg brackets being a bit suspect.
Elvira 40th had powdergate .. some of those looked woeful.
Premium prices don't always equate to better quality.
Quoted from Tmuster:For those of you who seem to think 500 won’t sell at an insane price you don’t get the theme draw. It’s insane. You’re talking about multiple generations of fans in a global phenomenon with a game that celebrates ALL the movies in some way ? 500 will go poof like a fart in a tornado. I snagged a LE last month. Doubt I can swing this one but people will line up for this
I’m not so sure.
Most Bond super fans still think a pinball machine is like what was in the early 80s arcades.
Could be another Beatles scenario.
To be fair, that pin played ok and looked great but didn’t go ballistic.
“There are things we need, and there are things we want. But there’s also a whole lot in between. Sometimes we fool ourselves into thinking that something we only want is something we need.
Sometimes to alleviate the guilt of making a purchase (especially a large one), we feel the need to justify it. But if you have to explain something, it usually means that it can’t stand on its own as being the right thing to do.”
Quoted from mstang01:Im not saying I wouldn’t love that but the mechanics in a single level aren’t cheaper than a multilevel game and these two got two of Sterns biggest IPs. Beatles gold is a steal right now and a great game.
Yeah Beatles is pretty good but I wouldn’t buy the ones still gathering dust at Distros from release.
Main reason is many of the playfields kinda sucked.
That’s when Stern were having issues in that dept.
The dings on those efforts are extraordinary.
Quoted from Kkoss24:Modders better get on the “Daniel Craig’s arm holding a gun “decal pronto !!
[quoted image]
His hand is on his other gun
Quoted from demandecan55:Also, it's lame that you pay 20k for a machine but if you want to hear the designer talk about it you need to pay a monthly fee on top. I have paid enough with my 20k, lol.
Quoted from Zablon:Am I the only one that thinks Steve Richie needs to do all Stern callouts?
Even the 60th has same muppet on call outs.
John Barry on loop.................again!
Quoted from JonCrox:Thanks mate, noted. Over on the UK pinballinfo forum swear words get starred out, for example over there Neil is often called a **** or a ******* ****.
So on the * count...... assuming that will be Prik or a fcuking twat??
Quoted from SLAMT1LT:I know you guys would rather stick red hot needles into your testicles than ever play a virtual pinball game, but for the 2 or 3 people that might be interested... I'm setting myself a fun little challenge: Based on only seeing a few photographs, can I build Stern's Bond60 in just 1 week, using a digital pinball editor?
I'll give it a shot (further updates will appear on my YouTube channel).
My version of the game will feature numerous modes of play; one of the highlights is the option to play each Bond on their own. So, Connery era, Moore era, Dalton era, Brosnan era and finally Craig era. Maybe I'll chuck in Lazenby as well... maybe.
The game also features ALL of the bond songs, with most locked at the start of the game - playing well will unlock them all. Each song offers unique perks and 'special assignments'.
I'm also adding a modern/retro switch - real-time switching between a modern era pinball game and a classic early SS pinball game. The final and finished game will never be released, it's just a fun project for my own amusement.
Nice, love those independant firing pops
Quoted from 27dnast:I had a chance to meet the new CEO this past weekend and had a great 30 min chat with him.
He afforded 30 mins?
In money terms that's probably 1K USD.
Guess the Bonds are paying for this...
Quoted from CrazyLevi:My parents had the same car, a Plymouth Horizon.
It was the worst car we ever owned when I was a kid. Broke down on the reg.
Pinball is just like cars!
My step dad had one of those in the 80s.
In UK it was called the Talbot Horizon.
I had to wear my wellies as the carpets wear piss wet through 12 months of the year..lol
They pulled Bond from London show out of respect for the Queen…. lol
Now this exclusive topper malarkey
And the ‘biggest bullshitters’ of the year TWIPY goes to……
GnR disc with slash hat fits the pin.
Album covers on disc are cool touch.
Odd Job too close for comfort.
Cant wait to hear all the cool bond music:-
Living Daylights
A View to a Kill
Live and Let Die
License to Kill
Casino Royale
Moonraker
what else did I miss......
Guys keep mentioning 20k price tag.
Sound like a bargain.
They want 26k GBP for this box in UK. Pfff..
