Quoted from Thunderbird:

The main problems I have with this image are:
1 No reals in the back-box.
3 Elwin himself asked, “what makes you think the image is real?” Casting big time doubt on it.

I think if it does have real reels then a sizable chuck of what you are paying for is to develop and implement this mechanical aspect of the game... Either way quit your bitching given that no ones forcing you to buy this SLE.

Mad Gaz: "Yeah we got a guy thats made 3 of the TOP 10 all time best games including the best."
"Ok KME we know what ever you make turns to gold and will sell out'
"Lets get you to make another unique game with old school reels etc etc"
KME: "Sure"

How is this?
[quoted image]
Worth $5k more then this with a ton of less features?
[quoted image]

Its the same playfield as the prem/le.... Bond aint.

#2662 1 year ago

If they released a bond 60th which was the same as the prem/LE it would have been a harder sell imo.

Was this much hate given to Supreme when it came out? (I Actually dont know)... What was the price of that game, how many units again? I am sure that was a far worse game than this.

As a side note, not sure if it was mentioned before but the reverse figure 8 shot imo does lock the ball given the angle of the left metal rail. This reverse lock shot, not the figure 8 shot I believe is the unique shot that Gomez is referring to.

Quoted from cooked71:

No one cared. Was such a tiny run, and clearly for the Supreme collector market. Difference with B60th was that we all loved the idea of a new single level Elwin game and were therefore pissed we couldn’t afford it.

So really the hate for Bond60 is due to the fact thats its a good if not great game and that people wanna buy it but cant afford it? Would there be as much hate if there was a release of 20 or so? BM66 wasnt cheap either...

Quoted from Rob-T-800:

Stern is making this "exclusive" topper available for everyone for 999.99

Hmmm should be more hate for this $1000 ($1450 aud) topper than the game imo. How could this not have been included in the game? Bloody Gaz

#4003 1 year ago
Quoted from Rob-T-800:

It's included in the 60th game but $tern is making it available for all models now. Even after they state in the video for the 60th it's exclusive.

Oh ic.... Errrr.... Lol as per Kenadas recent review with old mate from Denmark lol make Bond60 available by making a pro version (Inline with the topper) hehheeee..

I’m sorry I can’t afford them fancy pants opto spinners.

Quoted from TreyBo69:

People kept sending me PMs that they wanted to see me make a three spinner design ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He can be very positive when a company sends him a free product to review (love you Cary )

This is your own WW??? Yeah hell would love to see inline spinners one day.. I actually suggested it to Haggis around 4 years ago...

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

I think JJP were first to go nuts on pricing putting the price of GNR up for no reason at all, then Spooky also recently.
I'd say the number of pinball buyers has made it all about the price... its supply and demand. Economics 101. Also hasn't helped that the price of materials that stern use have all more than doubled in the last couple of years, Stern having to jack the price up between Mando and GZ because of material costs.
Neil.

Think a big part of it has to do with pleasing the investors as well... which Stern have been doing for God knows how long. Allegedly Gomez was shouted a 40K car by Mad Gaz due to the success of BM66... hmmm could he not have upgraded the bank of microwaves at the factory as well?

#4374 1 year ago
Quoted from NeilMcRae:

yeah investors expect a return on their investment - shocker. I know its a dirty phrase here on pinside but making money is what nearly every company in the world was setup to do.
Neil.

So if "making money" is not an issue then Mando toppers are reasonably priced? Wonder how the employees feel about getting paid f all. Hmmm what other cost cutting implementations could we bring up?? Hmm lets make the products worse and make kickbacks and reply knockers obsolete so improve the bottom line, for example.

It sure is bonkers!
Almost all of these movies have some high points, that's for sure. Even the bad ones.

The film was great back in the day like Commando!!
