Quoted from Mr68:

Shut up!
People might discover the true pleasures of this hobby and then prices will really explode.

My last two purchases were a Halloween CE (my first NIB) then I lucked out a few weeks back and found a Pin*Bot for a really good price and couldn't pass it up.

I forgot how fun some simpler yet VERY affordable games can be. Love my Halloween but for the price, Pin*Bot sure delivers too. (I was in on a EHoH next run but not sure I want to pay $9k on a game, when I ordered it was still $8k.)

#372 1 year ago

That back box art reminds me of my mothers living room wall and the 38 signs hanging up saying things like "Love is Life" and "Home is where the heart is".

Ugly AF, my opinion only.

Has anyone figured out what the shot that GG has never seen on a game before is? Wasn't that this game he was referring to?

I have to remember thousands of pin acronyms and now I have to figure out people code? GG?

"Sterns upcoming cornerstone game, designed and produced by an all star cast of talent including KE, JP (aka ZY), RN, JT and MORE!!"

#3422 1 year ago

Eh, it is all niche pinball. Supreme and Bond 60th, both ugly as hell but some will buy. Whatever. Good for them.

They are testing the waters of high end, and if doesn't work out at this price point, maybe they lower the "roof" a bit on prices.

I would put a few bucks in it at Pyramid Scheme if they get one.

Real question here, did Stern put a real physical knocker in for this $20k?

For $20K it better have silicone knockers...

Quoted from BriannaWu:

Maybe it’s time to split this into two threads. “Hype thread” and “Salty Whining about a product I’m not purchasing thread.”
I get not liking the pricing. It’s absurd. But surely, some of you looping on the same argument have something better to do?

This 100%

Unless you are on the hype train, stop posting.

(I expect 2 new posts in the next 24 hrs.)

I said maybe it’s time to separate the threads. I am getting one.

I think I have to agree with Treybo on this… even though it made me chuckle, it was just a tad bit too troll-like…

I know, but it was funny in my head. My apologies.

#3511 1 year ago
Quoted from TreyBo69:

I didn’t mean to call you out. You’re far from the only one to say things of that nature. It was just, let’s be real…some are trolling hard
Like some people are still adamant that this looks like a home game. Come on… at least be reasonable when your criticize this for being overpriced.

True. It seems kinda cool gameplay wise. That 20G's is just so hard to hurdle.

#3673 1 year ago

In a nutshell, most of us can only imagine what the value a $20K machine could or should have, and this isn't it. Just on the pin itself, it doesn't have enough in it to be anywhere near that price point.

I think they should have capped the production at 60, and let those that HAVE to have it set the ceiling. That is the only thing my tiny brain can wrap itself around as far as this type of pricing.

Either way, it is a new year. Let's keep things in perspective and agree to disagree and not attack each other so much!

"Hey, its only Pinball!!"

#3685 1 year ago
Quoted from Mr68:

Don't quit the thread. Hang with me and we'll riff on some jokes and the absurdity of Pinside.

Pinside is not absurd. It is a religion that gives my life meaning in a cult like way.

Now off to light some candles by the statue of St. Elwin....

#3769 1 year ago
Quoted from JodyG:

I am figuring it is 3.5% for the card processing and 4% to Rallyup for running the raffle service. Adding the fee most likely allows all $40k to go to the charitable cause instead of $37k. No different that what Eventbrite or any other ticket service would charge.

It would be better transparency if they actually just charged the CC fee and added "administration fee" or the like separately. Even a manually entered Square transaction is only 3.5% plus $0.15 per transaction. That is $7.15 for actual CC fee on $200.

Quoted from TreyBo69:

The drunken slamming of keys is coming. Prepare your insults, retorts, and quips now.

Quoted from insight75:

Man....seeing some of these available below the opening price has me thinking.....how low before I can't not pull the trigger? NO! STOP IT! You can't. You don't have the room. Remember how proud the wife was that you didn't order one.....

If you can afford a $20k pin, you can afford more room

#3780 1 year ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

I do think opto spinners take a much bigger bite out of your BOM than normal switch spinners.

Honestly, BOM should not even be in the discussion anymore. I would bet my life their margins are larger than ever.

I think it is expensive because it is expensive. I'm probably alone in this opinion though.

I think it is a steal for being 60 years old.

#3838 1 year ago
Quoted from underlord:

Question: what shot has ‘never been done’ according to Gomez?

$20k for a pro.

#4049 1 year ago

Imagine this layout, rethemed with let's say... SpongeBob and offered as a home version. Not knowing it was elwin and not limited.

How much would you pay? $4-6k?

#4109 1 year ago

They say exclusives include anti-reflection play field glass and shaker motor too.

Both can be bought separately for other games as well. It is not as deceptive as one may think.

#4142 1 year ago
Quoted from Flips365:

I thought if this happened with the 60th, then no big deal it wasn't meant to be. .

So, if you couldn't get the pin on the first day from Stern, you were just going to give up and not pursue it any further... and you don't make much money... and IT IS A $20K DECISION.

That doesn't make much sense. But I do hope you love the pin! It looks fun.

#4147 1 year ago
Quoted from ASAC_Schrader:

Just to clarify I’ve been in the hobby for 20 years. I am just new to pinside. I just like to play pinball and will likely just go back to doing that.

No, you won't. You have been bitten by the bug. There is no vaccine. The pinball will keep you interested, the drama will keep you coming back.

Quoted from JonCrox:

...about this sh1t show so we also need to vent to our sympathetic brethren, if you bought one great for you, but stop defending how sh1t and greedy

How about you actually type "shit" instead of "sh1t".

We'll be ok if you do.

Quoted from iceman44:

If the game doesn’t shoot well I’ll send it to GWJ to re jigger it.
No worries

It would be playing VHS porn on the tiny playfield LCD. Not a bad idea considering the retro theme.

#4234 1 year ago
Quoted from Beechwood:

It would be playing VHS porn on the tiny playfield LCD. Not a bad idea considering the retro theme.

Quoted from iceman44:

I’m wondering if somebody can 3rd party that LCD to make it a Bond girl and villain reel

May as well make it literally Pussy Galore. For $20K it should have some.

#4237 1 year ago

I just pulled out my LWJP and looked at it in depth. 2 spinners, 2 ramps, drop target, 2 orbits, 1 mini orbit, 2 playfield magnets and a snagger magnet toy, 11 stand up targets, 3 pops, a subway, a scoop with interactive toy, DMD and video mode. Released today it should be $32,000. But no, only $3500.

It shoots great. Granted, the code and sound sucks ass, but c'mon. It has value for the price point. This is why so many of us can't fathom the price point of the 60th Bond.

Quoted from pinballaddicted:

All the negativity and controversy around this game on Pinside makes me want it more!
Last time I remember this much shit and negativity around a Stern was Elvira House of horrors. Look how that turned out!

I ordered it 19 months ago for $8600. Now that it is being made it is $10,500.

That is how it turned out...

Oh and 2024 is Pink Floyd 60th, go Stern!!!

$30,000 by 2024?

All in all we're just another brick in $terns wall.

#4380 1 year ago
Quoted from RGR:

Hmm lets make the products worse and make kickbacks and reply knockers obsolete so improve the bottom line,

That's funny... I saw that short vid of the 60th SLE at the show, the one showing the topper in action. And the replay "noise" went off. What a joke $tern can't (or more accurately WON"T) afford a real one.

#4394 1 year ago

This whole thread should take the L and go away, from the $20K single level ugly-ass $tern to all us losers with nothing better to do than post the same shit for 88 pages. Me included.

#4404 1 year ago
Quoted from JonCrox:

Thanks mate, noted. Over on the UK pinballinfo forum swear words get starred out, for example over there Neil is often called a **** or a ******* ****.

Ah, I did not know that. Kinda crazy they do that.

#4412 1 year ago

Doesn't really matter anyway, as even at its high point would have added no more than $150 or so to each machine. 30-50%in $tern MSRP increases are not all commodity price increases. Those other people don't understand economics 101.

It did make me chuckle how the original poster of the graph only went to the high point of 2020 though.

#4466 1 year ago

I don't blame $tern for the cash grab, it's business.

Just don't blow smoke up peoples asses acting like the pin actually is so good it deserves this price point. And don't market certain things that sound exclusive to a $20k pin when they aren't.

Other than that, if I ran $tern, I would be maximizing profits too. Gotta make hay when the sun shines.

#4543 1 year ago

I've told this story many times, but here we go again because I have no social life...

On vacation, my wife and I played EHOH on location. She loved it, gave me the approval to buy it after she got over the shock of the $8599 price. I got on the list for the next run that was to be in November.

Next run pushed into new year, now $8900. Ok, well shit. Still waiting. Next run pushed into 2023, price now $10.5.

Now we are out. We can't be the only ones. Not blaming $tern for profiting when they can, just disappointed I can't afford them Elvira boobies anymore.

#4551 1 year ago

This release reminds me of the Dodge Omni Shelby GLH. Take a cheap basic car, let the hot designer tweak it, limit the production and then charge double.

Didn't work then, won't work now. But can't blame $tern for trying.

#4553 1 year ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I think $tern need$ to just drop pinball machine$ once and for all and get into thi$ car thing. $eems to be where all the money i$!

Actually, Tesla should get into pinball and make an all electric model and revolutionize the industry.

#4569 1 year ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Ok, things are pretty slow here, so let's dive deep into your cargument...
Now, I wasn't on the "car scene" back in 1986, but every retrospective about the car I can find says it was extremely well received, was a great performer on the track, and sold well. There appears to be zero evidence anywhere that "it didn't work then."
So I guess it worked then! No wonder $tern is trying!

Carrol Shelby actually bought the last 500 GLH's that weren't selling and brought them to his factory to add even more performance. Kind of a "saving face" move. They called it the GLH'S (GOES LIKE HELL S'MORE).

Probably worth about $20k now, NIB.

#4570 1 year ago
Quoted from Mr68:

Can you haul a game in a Dodge Omni Shelby GLH?

Yes. But very slowly.

#4571 1 year ago
Quoted from TreyBo69:

Do you think if we all tweet at Elon Musk enough he’ll develop an interest and then waste a lot of time and money trying to reinvent pinball? You just gotta challenge him/damage his ego ever so slightly in the right way. He’d be Robert Mueller on steroids.

He would create a game that, after 5-10 games, the AI takes over and plays itself. Fun to watch but a poor earner on route.

#4573 1 year ago

We have hit critical mass on this thread. We desperately need some game play footage so we can knit pick real issues instead of contemplating Elon musk and Carol Shelby's place in the pinball hierarchy.

My main knock, is at this price point, I’d really like to see way more playfield features: ramps, jumps, roto targets, exploding toys, lower playfield, subways, etc. I.e. if making the craziest hybrid spanning years of pinball history, give me the best features innovative attributes from each decade from 50s-today.

Fuck this hobby. I'm going to sell my topper and take my $19k pin and go home!

13
#4817 1 year ago
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:

Is there a worst of pinside threads thread?

This thread is spot on. Ask $20k for a basic game with no answers to anything and no video of gameplay while taking deposit and misleading buyers, it's the kiss of death on pinside.

But for once, I think it's justified. What a disaster of a rollout.

#4830 1 year ago

Thanks for posting this video. Zach seems like a genuinely great guy.

Takeaways: 1. Zach admits to being aware of the backlash over price. Apparently $tern does pay attention.
2. That LE looks 5 times better than the 60th. And after the $20K MSRP (of the 60th) seems like a bargain. Theory of relativity always wins out.
Brilliant move by $tern.

#4837 1 year ago
Quoted from gdonovan:

Part of the value in the premium product is the exclusivity, which has now been reduced somewhat.

To be fair, I doubt anyone considered that topper to add any more than $1K to the price, exclusive or not. I could be wrong.

While talking about the Pavlovian like response a person feels when hearing an achievement on an insider connected:

"That's why... you know... even old school pinball machines have knockers"

Ooops...

Edit: Bring back the physical knocker. Just add it to the BOM!

#4869 1 year ago

They refrained from showing any real gameplay in that video. Why?

#4878 1 year ago
Quoted from MK6PIN:

Maybe an official stream coming w Elwin playing? IDK. It's not like at this price point and oddity of the approach, they needed hype. Geesh.....
So NOT seeing something makes it shit? Nope....price, price, price, or 3/4 of this thread wouldn't have materialized, and the context much different.

I in no way think it is shit or insinuating as much. I am seriously curious why they went out of their way to hide gameplay. If it's good, they should at least show a little something. I for one can't wait to see a stream with gameplay. No matter what I think of the price, I am definitely interested to see it in action!

If you are living paycheck to paycheck and have only $1200 in the bank and buy this game on credit... yes. You are an idiot.

If you have disposable income and buy this pin without it even moving the financial needle... good for you.

I am in the middle, and will sit this one out

#5057 1 year ago
Quoted from dpadam450:

If you saw the video on youtube I posted a few pages back, it's kind of funny the Stern marketing guy was like "you can always finance a game".

Oh yes, I saw it. Made me shiver when I heard him mention financing a $20K unicorn. May as well light your future paychecks on fire.

#5112 1 year ago

Ok, if the deal was to make a high priced machine because of the licensor, so be it.

But if I am a company, I still want to put out the best I can for the money. Either way, hoping for a great shooter.

The hype in this thread (and yes, hype can be positive or negative) makes me want to play one even more.

#5156 1 year ago

I don't recall anyone insulting anyone for buying this pin. It's almost exclusive animosity towards stern for the $20k price point/value.

Personally, I miss my $5600 ghost busters. I'm a stupid ass for selling it. I just insulted myself, and rightly so.

#5161 1 year ago

I remember going to "game room guys" just as the pandemic started and STh was a new release. That game was getting shit on hard. I played it there, and really enjoyed it and remember thinking "why all this negativity towards STh?". After some code updates and BAM... its a great pin in huge demand. Pinside is nothing if not predictable.

This game is just so high priced I am not sure it will meet the same fate, but if it is a truly awesome shooter, who knows how much this thing may be worth in the future.
Now, that being said, we just need that live stream, Jack. Bring it!

#5172 1 year ago
Quoted from underlord:

If a luxury brand continues to take advantage of the customer base they need then yes, orders will/should drop off.
I represent Sterns customer base. Underlord is displeased.
[quoted image]

Let's be honest. Even though pro models have been increasing in price, the kiss of death will be if stern decides to only make premium/LE/SLE models. That would truly be the kiss of death money grab.

Is it coming?

#5200 1 year ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

Its a horrible game lol but I'm glad you like it. I'm trying to think of a worse modern game than ghostbusters and having a hard time coming up with anything.

Man I swear you love to just talk from a position of authority while not having any clue lol. Its well known that the flipper gap on GB WAS NOT designed that way and was a mistake.

I thought it was really fun.

And playing the "Are you a God" mode with guests was always a blast. Glad they made that a stand alone, like two games in one.

#5209 1 year ago
Quoted from BasementFacts:

The "game of chance" Ghostbusters is, is what makes it fun for me. It certainly isn't a tournament game. The magna slings just add to the unpredictability (and fun). It feels fucking good to deal with the slings successfully, and get those random Tobin's Spirit Guide multipliers, ESP video mode, and get a perfect storm of a game. It's a great home game that never gets old. There are way more linear games than GB that get higher praise.

And all for the bargain price of less than $20k!

#5230 1 year ago

Many MANY pins have come out to great ridicule and lower prices for the first year after release only to catch on and skyrocket in price after that. Be it code updates or a realization that the game is really good. Once the knee jerk observations calm down, the price finds a level.

This may be one of those as well. Time will tell. But for now, we REALLY need a game play vid!

There are no movie clips. Maybe that's a good thing. Everyone would be arguing what should and shouldn't be in the game. Game play seems like it would be fast and furious anyway, you know, the way pinball used to be. No time for watching movies.

Well I think for $20k this pin should be 100% electric and reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.

(Just trying to change up the redundancy)

#5667 1 year ago
Quoted from Mr68:

Just for clarity on the redundancy madness, allow me to defend Pinside a little bit. (Just a teeny bit as I've been on both sides of these fiascos)
Every now and then we will have an idiot that becomes a non-stop broken record. Fortunately there is a rule violation for that and the mods can take care of it.
But the madness enters when a series of Pinsiders, one by one, make the same basic comment, and it becomes the never-ending clown car trick.
ANd it's always something obvious that people already know. Like the price...
1. $20K for a single level game? No way!
2. I could buy 2 premium games for $20K
3. Only stupid people would spend $20K on that game
4. I've got a lot better ways to spend $20K than like that
5. I could buy 200 EM machines for $20K
6. There is no pinball game worth $20K
...You get the idea. The point is, the buyers already know how much they're paying. IT"S $20 F'ING GRAND!! ...and that works for them no matter how badly it doesn't for you.
Eventually things will quiet down, when suddenly some innocent Pinsider pokes his head in without reading anything and say, "$20K!?! IS THIS A JOKE?" (Wash, rinse, repeat)
And that's when a buyer or two eventually lose their shit and explodes in a angry comment at everybody. ....Followed by, "Dude, chill out. I'm just saying".
This is just an isolated example as Pinside will do the same thing on whatever the topic du jour is.
Jesus, If I heard one more, condescending,"know it all" comment about Heighway, Deeproot or "obvious scam" in the Haggis thread, I was going to wire my body with C-4 and hurl myself onto the Pinside hosting service.

I'm going to go full RGP on this thread.

20 years ago, if anyone said a new game was over $5k, they would have been crucified.

I'm serious when I say, all new pinball prices are outrageous. This hobby is outrageous. Anything over 5k for a silly pinball is crazy. We justify it, but damn, it's a fricken game that tosses a steel ball around!

We are all crazy. We pay fuck tons of money for silly games. We are nuts! We keep paying and playing! We love it!

Who cares. It's fun. It's puts a little enjoyment between the cracks of reality in our everyday lives. And after all...
"Hey, it's only pinball!"

#5673 1 year ago
Quoted from jfh:

Waiting for someone to ask “What’s RGP?” …

If any newbies want to know what RGP is... It was pinside before pinside was even synthesized RNA in Martin's testicles.

Same shit, different platform. (With pics)

You would think so... With how many dudes were just hanging out there for hours per day.

Without Frankfurter. That HAD to be Clay H.!!

And good old Gary the gold guy. He would easily afford the 60th Bond and rub our faces in it.

Quoted from TreyBo69:

Only 42% of over 400 people responded "yes" to the question “Is $19,999 a lot of money for a pinball machine?”
My scientific poll is great success!

"True" should read "Truly". Just an aside

#5704 1 year ago

You know what could help sell more of these (or less)? A stream of gameplay!

Starting to wonder if that is why they aren't in a hurry to release any more video...

#5707 1 year ago
Quoted from Dan1733:

Agree. A stream would only confirm many of our worst fears. I predict the first stream won't be from a professional. It will be a buyer.

Actually, most say it looks like a great shooter. But, yes. That is my point. At leas give us JD and a quality stream instead of crappy unboxing/first play videos by someone who doesn't even know the game.

C'mon Stern, are you scared?

#5717 1 year ago
Quoted from pinballaddicted:

I think MOST people buying this game are going to play the shit out of it and get all their friends over to play the shit out of too.

This reminds me... I wish I had friends.

Idiot here. I bought one just to play it.

I don't think it makes you an idiot. But I know it makes me jealous.

Quoted from gandamack:

Agreed. I use the same logic when buying a new car. Never quite understood why folks do a test drive or research car model specifics.

That is why Carvana is doing so well. Those car vending machines were genius, who needs that silly test drive anyway.

#5749 1 year ago
Quoted from mstang01:

I hate test driving cars or visiting dealerships. I love the option to get price quotes on-line now and just show up to purchase (I would have liked the carvana model better with no interaction but they’ve always seemed overpriced)

I would do that too, but who would be around to appreciate all my sarcastic comments?

#5771 1 year ago
Quoted from SonOfaDiddly:

the rules have already been posted, it's not very hard to imagine what the gameplay will be?

Sweet, now I can just imagine playing the pin. I just saved $20K!

#5775 1 year ago
Quoted from Reality_Studio:

Suggestion for the Pinside mods: Add the ability to tag a post as "not relevant to the thread" then give users a toggle to hide all non relevant posts in a thread. So for example if a post gets a very high number of "not relevant to the thread" tags then Pinside can internally mark it as such, then when a user comes to a thread for genuine info they can hide all non relevant posts

But then 5,775 posts would suddenly go down to 6 visible posts. What fun is that?

#5791 1 year ago
Quoted from JohnTTwo:

Just watched the game play promo on Stern and this game looks so fun for a average player like me. I was worried about the hat but see the hat is up towards the top. I was imagining it like in the middle of the playfield from the comments on here.
Do any other games have opto spinners? I wonder how long they spin look pretty BA on the PROMO "BUY ME" video.
I would like to try this opto spinner thing.

Search this thread for opto spinner. there are many posts

I just can't beleive the game is shipping an we still have no idea what it contains... video... music...

I can.

#6023 1 year ago

I just want something. Real gameplay video or a stream so I can make some judgement on the pin other than it's very expensive.

#6068 1 year ago
Quoted from hank527:

When will we see video?

Keeping with the retro theme, Stern is having difficulties obtaining betamax equipment with which to record it on.

Spared no expense!

AI can beat the best humans playing pinball. Soon AI bots will replace the human in the human-pinball experience. Might as well, they are already better than us. So with AI in charge, who will buy pinball machines in the future? Probably AI machines themselves will buy pinball machines and then offer them to nerds on Pinside. AI will win all tournaments and the act of playing pinball will be recognized as an Olympic sport.[quoted image]

Damn you, Thing! See what you started!!

Stern. Release a damn gameplay video... for the love of god.

We are debating the career of Moby and forcing ChatGPT to write shit that it don't want to write!

#6214 1 year ago
Quoted from Bublehead:

Your question to the bot should be, do answers created by artificial intelligence add to the human experience and generate true wisdom? Or do they just mimic existing stereotypical responses and just masquerade as newly minted ideas?

I asked ChatGPT what the newest pin was. It said it couldn't tell me because it's database only went through 2021.

I said "That doesn't matter as it is currently 2020". It sat there for a few minutes, then threw an error.

#6222 1 year ago

I think the 60th Bond has the potential to be one of the fastest playing, most intriguing single level playfields ever produced.

#6268 1 year ago
Quoted from Thunderbird:

Hmmm, if Stern felt that way too, don’t you think they’d show game play well before now?

Stern is probably more concerned with manufacturing and employing hundreds (while moving to a new factory) over gameplay video for a few pinball nerds.

They sell games regardless. We just have to wait.

#6321 1 year ago
Quoted from Haymaker:"After watching the stream I'm starting to get the impression this game may be too expensive, and I for one, am shocked!"
-People after the stream probably

Hopefully people just comment on the pin as far as gameplay, shots and code/features (Unless it dispenses gold deblumes everyone knows it is not worth $20k.)

But, alas, this IS pinside.

Hey, traffic on the 60th thread! Maybe there's gameplay! Maybe they finally shipped and it's unboxing time! I think it's overpriced and ugly, but it does look fun and boy wouldn't it be nice to be happy for someone getting to enjoy it at least!
Ah, nevermind. Just more folks yelling snowflake back and forth. Carry on.

Jack Danger streams it tomorrow at 6 central, so another 30 hours of muddling.

Horse has been beat to dust at this point.

#6378 1 year ago

Just under 23 hours until Mr. Danger reveals gameplay. I plan on making an event of it. Sending wife and kids to a shelter, pulling up the 65 inch to my recliner and taking a shot everytime Jack says "Thanks for the bittys"

Bond 60 SLE, $20K.

Getting fucked up with Jack, Gomez, and Elwin playing Bond 60 SLE, PRICELESS!!

#6427 1 year ago
Quoted from Aurich:

we'll have an answer today: I think we'll get more than the barebones text we saw in the leaked video, but we won't have actual video clips from the film playing.

Not necessarily true. All it will take is Gomez to say that "more licensed content will be incorporated in future code" and the great asset debate of 2023 will rage on...

#6446 1 year ago
Quoted from JakePG:

I'm hoping the game is amazing, and then they retheme the layout in a game I can afford.

So I have only noticed this in the past week or so and it has come up a LOT.

Are these posts quoting pinsiders that the posting member has blocked? Which of course makes no sense. If they are blocked, they can't see them.

And I know it isn't because I blocked the pinsider that was quoted, because I have zero members blocked. (Yes, I am a badass with thick skin.)

Anyone? Bueller?

It simply means the poster - in this case, SLAM TILT - has YOU blocked. Yes...in soviet russia, pinside blocks YOU!
There's nothing you can do about it, since SLAM TILT invented the concept of blocking, internet forums, and pretty much everything else. You won't be able to outsmart him.

That is so damn funny. The only thing I ever posted about him was when he said he didn't like Youtubers who use an avatar with crazy eyes and looking all surprised. And I said "You mean like your avatar on Pinside?"

Haha.. good stuff. My avatar is a fucking rodent lol

Quoted from Metaluna5:

Where does one get this bullshit?? My sample was not REJECTED! It was used to get the license... SUCCESSFULLY!! Ultimately it was not used because the licensor opted for historical assets. Don't spread horse shit!

I figure I must be getting close.

I said something like... his avatar made me want to punch my chinchilla in the face.

Classy yet effective.

I wonder how many Bond 60ths have sold so far.

#7080 1 year ago

They would look cool together in a lineup at home. But damn, $29,000 for two single level pins is just ludacris.

We've been brain washed.

#7092 1 year ago
Quoted from JohnTTwo:

Seeing all these cry babies about price is making me happier that I bought it. ha

I'm not one of those cry babies. I'm just dumbfounded when I realize I could buy a NIB Pulp Fiction LE and an EHoH premium for the same price as a bond 60th.

#7098 1 year ago
Quoted from JohnTTwo:

Simple buy all three dude, life’s short
Why miss out on a whole different feel?

I wish. I have three kids under 15 and while I technically could buy all three, it would be a bad example to them about being financially prudent. Damn this hobby!

#7138 1 year ago

I'm not affluent, but I have 4 pins. I am financially stable.

We have friends that live paycheck to paycheck because they are stupid with their money... And guess what? They think I'M stupid for paying $23k for 4 pins.

Those who have a high level of discretionary income buy a Bond 60th aren't stupid. But to those who struggle, it appears stupid. It's the great divide that is as old as time.

I just wish it were more in line $$ wise so I could possibly own it for a while, with the great reviews the game play is getting.
