I kid of course, pretty sure there's lurkers out there who haven't strapped up their boots and posted in here.

Lol, even simple math would provide otherwise....even though there will be a whopping 250 units in the US, doubt many will engage. I'm hoping so, as really want to deep dive what I believe to be lurking in this one, beyond being a stupid expensive, great shooter......
Sort of don't mind these threads until they get too personal....even then..."stay the course" ( I've had lots of practice)...
I know I am new here. But I find it strange that a few people seem to be negative on almost everything and pound out the voices of those who want to talk about a game. To the point that it becomes negative people pounding the same negative stuff into each other. I have a few questions about that. 1) Do you think that somehow it will sway the manufacturer because they see this stuff and think “oh my” and 2) Do any of you play pinball? I spent about 5 hours today playing my games and another 3 or so receiving and setting up my James Bond Premium.

Seems you are back for the drama
No.
Its a hype thread, not a safe space in regards to your purchase.
The safe space is coming soon and non owners should only lurk.

Cool, Nice you pound into us plebes you can not only play pins but set them up all day long

He's too busy pointing out, day after day, post after post, that he's "new."
Seems odd, nobody else does that. It's almost as if he's not really new here and just keeps repeating it so people won't think he's on his 3rd or 4th name here.
Quoted from ASAC_Schrader:I know I am new here. But I find it strange that a few people seem to be negative on almost everything and pound out the voices of those who want to talk about a game.
1. We all know you're not actually new, you can stop saying it over and over.
2. You don't seem to actually want to talk about the game, just whine about the whiners.
There was a whole part of this thread where a few of us were posting playfield images and trying to figure out shots and flows, you know how many people participated? A bare handful. You know how many of the constantly bitching and complaining about not talking about the game people piped up? A fat zero.
Quoted from Aurich:1. , just whine about the whiners.
My wife and I take great pleasure wine ing about whiners! We are lucky that in Australia there are some beautiful wines, both red and white. Sometimes we Champagne about whiners. It is all in good fun.

I mean if there was any bit of game to talk about, so far we haven't seen much of anything and just got features and price to discuss so yea it's gonna be limited talk
I think that, for me, poor ASAC_Schrader is getting a bum rap. But it is his own fault in selecting a handle and avatar that reminded me of all the things I hated about that character on Breaking Bad. He even made beer, and that was his ultimate sin in my book.
But his latest reveal that he is unboxing his premium makes me wonder, why piss and moan about JB60SLE then? You got the better deal.

It’d be great if they got rights to the songs from the bond movies. My favorite being Skyfall.
Anyhow we will have a 60th here in the Chicago suburbs to beat up and run tournaments on!

Seriously, all these posts and we still dont know. There were a few short days where shots were discussed, reels were unveiled and a short vid. Also. No art blades!
I mean this thread is dying down in real anticipation for owners to recieve, unbox and play the things.
Until then, its all percieved hype, hate or ill put a buck in it.

It's just a domed decal. You can get much higher quality shooter rods from 3rd party companies.

Bit like a Ferrari sticker on a Ferrari. Costs $2 00
Stern is imagining a customer that does not exist for Bond60. Like there are actually 500 Bond collectors which have almost no interest in pinball, just waiting to buy a JB60 game. Trying to expand their market in the dumbest way imaginable, with a subpar product for the price they are asking. Pinball enthusiasts are their actual customer base and we’ve for the most part rejected being fleeced by Stern: scarcity is not enough.
Quoted from BrianJ1337:What’s the playfield video screen doin? Just a few logos or what?
I'm sure I heard Gomez say on a podcast ( he's done a few lately ) I think it was the Super Awesome Pinball Show , that they will have clips from every movie .

This is not true, you misunderstood him. Code is at .90 now with no movie assets in sight. That means code is nearly complete, as reported by the programmer himself. Listen to the podcast on IC to hear out of the mouth of the programmer himself, this is an old school game, with no movie story telling assets in the game. It’s strictly about 2 things only: 1 Scoring reels for points focus (they cover the back box screen area they’re so important) 2 Earning IC achievements. Keith also backed that up by saying it is a game strictly about making the shots and getting the best score you can get, “fighting ball gravity”. The scoring reels are the main focus, just like old school throwback pinball.

I'm sure I heard him say it because that's the only reason that made me want one , because I like the Rodger Moore movies .
Now I'll have to go back in find it
Quoted from jonesjb:Any word on why Barry Nelson wasn’t included?
His license was too expensive.

I find it odd that someone posts repeatably about how odd it is that people are negative about a game they don't like. But then again you are new here............. With 5 hours of practice a day you will be up with Escher in no time.
Anyone heard what special modes you get if you have both Bond 60th and Bond LE? Should be something special if you’re spending Aud $52000 on a couple of games.

I believe that would be the "Chapter 7" mode.
I wonder how many people bought the game assuming that Keith would be coding it. Turns out he only did the playfield layout.
To me that’s not really the full GOAT experience like with his other games.

Stern figures if the current GOAT signs it, that will lend the legitimacy to justify this price. Also, the CEO signature is now something that comes with the new Stern pb experience and gotta be worth at least $5,000 alone. Yay.

I do have to ask since this is being touted as a feature....does anyone care that much about achievements beyond high score? I know that the younger generations do in video games, but I've just never once cared...
Quoted from Zablon:I do have to ask since this is being touted as a feature....does anyone care that much about achievements? I know that the younger generations do in video games, but I've just never once cared...
No, rich Bond collectors who have never really been into pinball, but who Stern thinks are going to eat these up, will not give a flying eff about IC.
Quoted from Zablon:does anyone care that much about achievements?
personal ones I set for myself, yes. But Random achievement awards I get without even knowing it, or without even knowing they exist, not so much
? Keith isn't the programmer, he is the designer. In his first 4 games Rick Naegele is the programmer with Keith working on rules.

The license Stern got for these games is with EON productions, which controls the rights for 25 Bond films. There are 3 productions that feature the James Bond character that EON did not produce and most agree are not true Bond films. They are:
Casino Royale 1953- One hour TV play with Barry Nelson as Bond
Casino Royale 1967 - Movie with David Niven and many other actors (including Woody Allen and Ursula Andress) as James Bond
Never Say Never Again 1983 - Movie remake of Thunderball with Sean Connery playing Bond. This wasn't Sean's last portrayal of Bond, he also did original voice work for the From Russia With Love videogame in 2005.
I just can’t unsee the cost cutting dark years of Bally pinball (6803)…never thought I would see this again…let alone almost 40 years later for $20k. I guess Stern wanted to mishmash all eras of pinball ending up in a noncohesive aesthetically unpleasing package…just a shame for what could have been. I’m still excited to play one as the early SS era is probably my favorite…I’m sure Elwin will deliver in that department!

They'll probably give them a Stern warning
