Quoted from Beechwood:

That is why Carvana is doing so well.
Those car vending machines were genius.

I just wish the one near me had a dollar bill validator.
I hate carrying around that large an amount all in change.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I bought my last 3 guitars online without ever playing them.
Cars really should be more like pinball machines.

So, guitarguments over carguments then?

#5752 1 year ago

In all seriousness, perhaps there will be no gameplay streaming because there simply is not alot to show? Granted the game has that "shiny beads" appeal to a portion of the pinball population, but perhaps there just isn't much depth? I watched the latest Scooby gameplay video and honestly that needed to be longer because the game seems to be quite deep.

in all seriousness, it's because exclusivity has a monetary value in marketing

#5754 1 year ago
Quoted from SonOfaDiddly:

i bought my last 2 cars sight unseen online and then showed up and drove them away

And that's why so many people trade in cars they owned for less than a year - lack of research and long test drives

Guess that's also why so many people sell pinball machines they have owned to less than a year ....

#5755 1 year ago

i drove one of those cars for eight years and plan to drive the current one until it dies or i do, so...

Tough to swallow from a company that cannot distinguish differences between terms like exclusive and inclusive.

yes yes, they cocked up the language on the topper, im over it

I definitely buy guitars without playing them, and like pinball I don’t play well enough to notice the things most people bitch about. Guitarguments FTW!

No question that language was dumb, though GG had already said previously that it was one topper for both models. What’s worse I think is that it’s not clear if the topper is limited to 1000 or if that number is just being tossed out there with more to come. Bad for either cornerstone or 60th owners depending on which way that goes…

Stern hearing the plebs asking to see gameplay footage of the game

The game isn't deep BY DESIGN! News flash: Retro games AREN"T DEEP!

#5764 1 year ago

And here I am still trying to figure out why anyone wants a topper on ANY game.

#5765 1 year ago

the rules have already been posted, it's not very hard to imagine what the gameplay will be?

http://tiltforums.com/t/007-60th-anniversary-rulesheet/8053

i want the cheevo of all 5 spinners at once to involve trapping up all three balls during a multiball and making 3 precision shots in a row

Sold then. I'll take two.

Maybe a cargument works here
Manufacturer: “We have this nice new sports coupe”
Consumer: “This sucks, I have 6 kids and I like to haul stuff around”
Manufacturer: “Buy a van!”

I get fooled. Every. Single. Time.

I see 28 new posts in less than an hour. "Must be new pics or video!!," I say to myself.

This thread is like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown.

See you again in 45 minutes.

The two general rules of pinside:

1) They hate the companies that make pinball
2) They hate how other people spend there money on pinball

...and they will let you know at any chance they get on and thread on any topic.

Suggestion for the Pinside mods: Add the ability to tag a post as "not relevant to the thread" then give users a toggle to hide all non relevant posts in a thread. So for example if a post gets a very high number of "not relevant to the thread" tags then Pinside can internally mark it as such, then when a user comes to a thread for genuine info they can hide all non relevant posts with a quick toggle. Or if they feel like being part of the shit show they can toggle that off and view everything.

I feel this would be far more useful than the thumbs up system which doesn't really do anything as far as decluttering a thread and also better than just blocking people because then you can genuinely miss good posts. Also this would work well because the forum would look and work identically for people that ignore this feature, nothing at all would visually or functionally change for them.

But then 5,775 posts would suddenly go down to 6 visible posts. What fun is that?

I need and trust you f#&kers to tell me what is relevant about as much as I trust my dog to do my laundry.

Do you guys ever use pinball machines as an example when arguing about cars? What do car people use to argue about?

I bought my last 3 guitars online without ever playing them. They are all awesome.
"Try and buy" is overrated. I've bought hundreds of pinball machines and the majority of them I'd never played a ball on them before taking them home.
Cars really should be more like pinball machines. All this test driving is wasting a lot of time and fossil fuels.

Good to know.

Ill test drive more to offset your fuelish fuel concerns! I do understand how some people view cars, especially is an area like yours, as an appliance to go from A to B. Some dont and comparing a device such as a guitar to a car is simply bonkers lol. A flute to car is more appropriate..

How about we all just stop comparing stupid shit to stupid shit and go grab some drinks?

We call those "key posts," and they can be nominated by anyone. They are factual, helpful, concise, and found at the top of the page of each thread.

Just watched the game play promo on Stern and this game looks so fun for a average player like me. I was worried about the hat but see the hat is up towards the top. I was imagining it like in the middle of the playfield from the comments on here.

Do any other games have opto spinners? I wonder how long they spin look pretty BA on the PROMO "BUY ME" video.

I would like to try this opto spinner thing.

Can they be? I thought in another thread that the nomination was removed and now just the mods can designate.

Beatles and Bond both have opto spinners

What I was thinking was the opposite of that, just having the ability to cull noise.

I recently replayed The Beatles, which is not really a theme I was into and didnt give it a chance, plus the price back then (GASP!) It has opto spinners, as others do, but this is single level.

Long story short, I think having all of the Bond opto spinners spinning at the same time and watching the reels roll will be pretty sweet. Rules sound fun and Im sure the middle screen has some A/V going on.If I had a spare $20,000, I'd buy it.
